Hey! My wife and I recently moved to Vietnam, this sounds like an amazing camera to capture the crazy traffic we have been experiencing in Ho Chi Minh City! We have tried a few times with the GoPro Hero 9 but exactly what you said - too hard to keep us in frame whilst still showing the dozens of motorbikes around us. I always admired how the camera "ignores" the selfie stick but I never knew you could literally reframe the video as you wish. Very excited about this. Good work, keep it up!

Never missing the best moments of my families adventures. For example, this past weekend I had my DJI Action at Universal Studios to film the Mardis Gras parade (PG version of Mardi Gras)and was so caught up it the amazing floats and performers that I missed many of my family’s reactions as beads rained down on the crowd. They had a blast!
I'm watching this all the way from the tropic island of the Philippines with lots of sunshine & white sand beaches. Great review on the insta360 one x2. its gonna be the next best thing for action cameras, just like having 4 cameras all in 1 take. Saves you time & money. I would love to get one of these on our next family outdoor escapades. More power bro!

I would use the camera on top of a motorcycle helmet or a vehicle to make a record of any accidents I might be involved in or be a witness while driving.
Hello from Iowa, I did purchase the insta360 go2 love it. I plan on going to Hawaii in the fall for six months would love to have insta360 1x for hiking and for the motorcycle and all around the island.

Hi Aldryn! Your review just opened a new way of doing a documentray! I would use the Insta 360 one x2 hanging under my M3 flying over the wonderful 101 islands of Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada (It's where i'm from) and produce a mixed video from the insta's roll and from the drone and the OM4 to show everyone the wildlife of this wild part of our province. - With all the required authorizations of course. I did something close to that last summer, but with the 360 it would be so much better!

Hey great video! Love the fact that you can choose your framing in post! If I had an INSTA360 ONE X2 I'd use it for all kind of action activities like cycling, skiing, hiking and vacations.

Excellent comparison as always! One feature that I feel is really overlooked with a 360 camera compared to a GoPro is safety. Riding a snowboard/snowmobile/onewheel all have major risks if you're not careful on them, and require a lot of your attention. Being able to set a 360 camera and have all angles covered while riding is HUGE compared to a GoPro or another camera with a smaller field of view, as you might have moments focused less on riding and more on if you're actually getting the shots you want. Your comparison demonstrated that perfectly, and I wanted to add my two cents about how I feel safer riding with a 360 camera due to its versatility in post.
I've rented/owned the Insta360 One R multiple times, but have never been able to keep it due to the high cost and life getting in the way of being able to afford keeping one. The One X2 is amazing and hope to own it one day for my own Snowboard and Onewheel rides.

I'm watching from Austin Texas. I'm fascinated by the capabilities of that 360 camera and to be able to produce several angles at the same time with one device. The question is, what wouldn't I film with it? I think I would start with filming the band that I work with that I do lighting and video capture for.

That 360 X2 is next on my wish list, I make off road motorcycling videos, so being able to capture everything in one shot would make things much easier for me, and allow for more creativity in my shots. Have been aiming for this OneX2 for some times now. Wanna use it for Motorcycle rides and during my mini2 fly sessions. Wanna capture the moments that usually are once in a lifetime opportunity. There are a lot of beautiful scenery that we have here in Malaysia. Awesome.
Watching in Guam. I like the fact that the One X2 is wateproof. I am on a boat and doing snorkeling/scuba a lot and the new One X2 can get wet, yay!! The newly designed underwater housing for it also makes the stitch line nearly invisible.
Love that 4 shots from clip. Gopro bike footage in Cincinnati OH is getting stale, and similar battery issues. My Samsung 360 died last year. ✌🏼
I don’t usually plan what I’m going to use a camera for, but my use cases for this one would be to set it up and not worry about it to capture memories while making memories on trips and vacations. Also to make neat looking videos with the unique looks that 360 cameras can capture! Watching from Ontario, Canada.

Love the capabilities of the insta360 and the fact that it single handed saved your trips footage. I know for me it’s always a drawback on trips to want to spend the most time with my family and also capture the memories. Would love something simple to use that could be adjusted in post. Taking a Harley Davidson ride into Yosemite in June 2022. Which cam would you recommend for this trip? Keep in mind I will have to mount it to my bike since both hands will be busy. Looking at either the GoPro Hero 10 or Insta360 One RS. Thanks in advance.

I love your videos. They seem to be the most informative, accurate and unbiased of all the drone reviewers that I follow. I live in Northern Ontario, Canada, and if I were to win this contest , I would be using the Insta360 to film myself and our Boys on our dirt bike rides. Our drones cannot always keep up. 😀

Good review of two excellent products. I would use one of those to chase my three year old around. He's getting so fast it's hard to use a normal camera and keep him in frame.
I saw a review from David Manning about the GoPro 10 batteries shutting down in extreme cold weather and how GoPro came out with an "Extreme" battery with better cold weather performance called the GoPro Enduro Battery, you should check those out.

Hi Aldryn, I’ve been your subscriber since i bought a dji spark and learned how to use it using your tutorial video. Been planning to buy a 360 camera from insta360 for my family getaway travels. I have a DJI Osmo Action and it's really problematic when it comes to framing but if I win this One X2, I'll not worry about the framing since I will have a lot of room to choose what frame to be use when I'm freediving with my friends and other water activities from Philippines.

Hey there! Great comparison! I would go with the x2 for being able to output/export multiple videos from the same source clip. I's use it for everything outdoors...starting with me and my dog and me riding my tadpole trike.
I bought a drone after watching many of your videos. They were really an inspiration. If I am to get my hands on a 360 I would use it to film while mountain biking and skateboarding. Watching from The Netherlands!

Hey Aldryn - great review as always. That Breckenridge trip looks like an awesome place to visit! (That is if ya like the cold and the snow! LOL) I think I've lived in Alabama too long and my blood is probably too thin to tolerate those kinds of temps. I bet that X2 Camera would do awesome strapped to the handlebars of my Harley while winding around through the Natchez Trace. And family outings with the grandkids would certainly be entertaining with a 360 camera. That would add a new dimension to keep our devices even more full of memories. :-) Keep up the great work!

Enduro battery solve the low temperature issue for me on the GoPro 10. I think a better comparison would be a GoPro 360° camera to the insta360°.

Great idea to edit the same footage from the viewpoint of the wants of the different subjects. I am going to Iceland this summer with another couple, and this has given me the idea to craft a video for my wife and myself, and another for the other couple. All from the same footage as we’ll likely be close to each other much of the time. So your kids are a good inspiration for that! :-)

I am toying with getting a one X2. I own a hero 10. I will only be doing family videos (no action).
I have limited time as I have 3 young children. I have heard that editing footage from the Insta360 is time consuming and difficult. I find the Quik app very easy and intuitive.

Both cameras are quality, watching from the UK, I would use it primarily for out and about, cycling, walking, but also for music videos, sometimes it's a stuggle fitting all my music gear in shot, the 360 would be ideal!

Really tempted to get this to record my motorcycle trip and to replace my trusty Sony action cam. However, I do wonder if Insta360 will soon be releasing a newer version of this. Especially given that this model had been out for a while.

Love to get some footage of my next trip to the Kruger national park in South Africa. With the rand dollar exchange rate it's just to expensive to buy. Some exceptional water holes of the Big 5 in South Africa largest national park.
If I had the Insta360 X2 I would mount it on my fpv drone and capture some cinematic footage with the quad in frame.

Awesome video as always Aldryn....I picked up a One X2 thanks to your review and I even got the carrying case free for using your affiliate link when I purchased thru Insta360 store. I do have a gopro hero 5 black from 2017 and while it was fun to use it....I lost a lot of good footage either in front or behind me because of how I was holding the camera. Thanks to the One X2 however, I don't miss anything. Funny thing is, I went out hiking one day and slipped which the One X2 caught....the same way you wiped out on the snowboard lol. Definitely an awesome piece of gear to have in my kit and we'll worth the money. Looking to grab a second One X2 as well.
Watching from Connellsville PA. I would love this camera. I want to use it when I’m mountain biking. It think it would be so great to capture everything and adjust my shot framing in post. So many time I have missed great scenes because I didn’t have my osmo action framed right.

Hi from Ireland, great video as always. I would be using it for skydiving as I got a loan of a friends GoPro max and fell in love with 360 just as you showed you can make 3 videos and get screen grabs from the video and zoom in and out to make some awesome looking shots and videos.
