@@serz1885 not really. U can get something but not do anything to get it, so in that sense you didnt achieve it but u gained it. So what hes saying is he grew up in a culture of working hard and achieving a goal and it wasnt handed to u as a freebie for example
First of all! Great vid! Great story! Gorgeous watches! But can anyone please tell me what that absolutely stunning breitling is at 3:10 ? Looks like the pistachio but i’m not sure if it is.
His story resonates with so many in the hobby. It’s funny how a watch that is meant to tell the time in the now is able to bridge the time of the past to the present in a matter of a few seconds.
@@theoneandonly7213 that’s true.. on their website, Michael isn’t even listed as part of the team. That needs to change ASAP! He’s incredibly talented. Have you seen his other channel ? “Theironsnail?”
My father wore a Rolex Explorer 1016 for 30 years and then gifted it to me over 20 years ago. After that he only wore homage watches and would not buy anything nice for himself. He really wanted a Longines Railroad watch, though. I bought it for him his year and it arrived the day that he went into the hospital for Covid. My brother said that he opened the box and looked at the watch, but never got to try it on. He lost the battle with Covid. I am glad he finally got to get another nice watch, if only for a moment.
"They" are successful due to their honest ways and keenness to help others especially the poor, they are better than everyone, they are supreme and they are chosen to rule.
Something about mechanical movements lights a fire in our young minds that never leaves, and it's beautiful that moment it's forever tied to people we love.
When it comes to collector vids, this was a breath of fresh air. Nice to see a humble yet successful and incredibly rich (certainly in life) individual talk about his passion.
This is really cool to watch; so much more meaningful in conveying the story behind the watches. The best part is how distanced it is from HODINKEE’s “here are my 28 watches on the table after I became a millionaire” series This is what really good production values are all about! Well done guys 👏
Im sure they are. I really dont see why people think theyre better than others. I agree with you bro. Theres no place in this world for arrogant people. Stay safe man.
I loved this video. I'm about to turn 34 and this motivated me to set a "by the time I'm 40" goal. Not necessarily a watch or even an object, just a goal I haven't come up with yet. But I love the concept. My late grandfather (who many times felt like my best friend) always wore a Girard-Perregaux Sea Hawk. GPs are going for a lot these days. Would love to honor him one day by wearing one with pride, but with those prices ... like I said, one day. My father has his Sea Hawk on his desk, it hasn't been wound since my grandfather passed in 2012. Keep the awesome videos coming!
Really Great Video. I love it. and i love your collection. Shockingly, I love all your pieces excpt the Breitling's. hahahahahahaha. If you gave me the Breitling id sell it and buy vintage Piaget, Jaegar Lecoultre, or Bulova's. Great story as well. you sound like a person with a great heart!!! What is the next Watch you want to add to your collection?
Beautiful! I'm a dad myself and the thought of leaving both of my kids a watch someday, not cause its value, but just to be near them in one form or the other moves me. "That was dad's watch".......what a nice thought...
Seriously good video chaps. Much better than a Hodinkee video about endless Rolex. This guy will resonate with 95% of watch collectors - all passion, no snob. Love it.
It’s the IWC Pilot’s Chronograph C.03 for Collective. I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time and acquired this beautiful watch.
Amazing storytelling thru family memories and progression in life. This is genuine, passionate, inspiring, down to earth film. Bravo! Keep up the amazing job! Great content
Very inspirational video, it doesn’t matter if you start early or later to collect watches, the watches are there, from your family or even yourself, you don’t realized until you see the watch on your hands and once you wind it up, the watch will tells you not only the time, it will tells you the history and if you appreciate that, then you became a watch collector. You will simply take care of it, enjoy it and pass it on to the next generation.
Great video short . . . I got misty-eyed when he was talking about buying his grandfather that Cartier.
A great story! Made me think of my Dad who has since passed ❤️🙏🏻
This is wonderful more of this content please!
