I own 2 gmts 1 I've had for 25 years. I I've had for a year. The first I is a 1992 and the other is a fat lady from 1988. Which one do think is my favorite.?
Spot on. Anyone can talk facts about watches, but it's the opinions and the way they're expressed on this channel and a select few other favourites of mine that keep me coming back. I enjoy the company.
I have only recently started watching your podcasts due to my interest in watches and having collected watches for the past 30 years, in Australia.
Your podcasts standout to me because you come across as true and honest. You don’t just talk about watches or you always have a connection to life through the watch.

My mother bought me a second hand 1964 Rolex GMT when I graduated from High school. It’s been the heartbeat of my life in so many ways and I would never sell it. This reminds me of the day when my mother gave me that watch. Great channel. You guys get it. Chapeau.

Believe me people still do feel like this about buying a watch. Financial I'm obviously not in as good a position as many on here, but I'm not completely poor. I spent 2 years saving up for the Blackbay 58 (blue) . In those 2 years I was obsessed with it, thought it was one of the most beautiful watches I'd ever seen. When I finally had the funds ( a lot of money for me) I was so pleased with my purchase. Had the watch 6 months now, and love it even more. Those feelings are still there for many of us
I got my SubD for my 40th, I’ve waited 12 years and obsessed. I hope my kids have the same memories.

Absolutely love this. I got my dad into watches a few years back and him and i know own our very own Rolex's that we both purchased from the same AD. I love seeing this. it reminds me of when him and i get together and just chat about watches and our success. Love it!

My favorite episodes are the ones with you and your father. Perhaps because I have sons your age and the time sitting and chatting about life can be special. I used to sit on the porch with my father-in-law and have these same conversations. Its because of shows like this that I bought all of my step-sons a Baume & Mercier last year for Christmas. Not brand I would normally choose, however my wife's maiden name is Cllifton, and B&M have their Clifton Series, so that was the driving factor in purchasing the brand. They all love their new automatic watches. Keep putting up great content!!! Especially with your Pops.

So happy to see your dad come back, and love the reason for this video. I’m a sentimental Rolex guy like you, and I’m so happy for you now that you now have this connection to your pops. I never had it with my dad, although I do have his wedding watch, a 1963 LeCoultre, since he passed away 7 years ago. But I have two sons of my own, and God willing, I’ll sit with them one day and have a moment like this where we come together over a meaningful watch. Congrats on your new GMT, but more importantly, good on you for the motivation behind it and it’s connection the this important man in your life.

the only current GMT I like is the 126715CHNR root beer... something about that rose gold with the brown on the bezel... it's just good.

My father passed away last April and I now wish that I had spent more time with him when he was around I still have my first Rolex which my father bought me as my graduation gift some30 years ago. . BTW, we always enjoy watching liquor run episodes.
I have a decent collection of watches including Day Dates, PP Nautiluses, VC, etc. My first nice watch was a 1675 GMT when I was 15 and it’s long gone but my family surprised me for my 50th with a ceramic GMT. It’s now one of my most important watches. Means the world to me.
This video touches my heart. My son Michael and I share the same watch relationship. we have 4 rolex 1 16710, 1 brand new Sprite, 1 datejust 1601, and 1 1803. 3 Omega Speedmasters vintage and a few others in our collection. I am 71 and he is 22. We share the same passion for these watches. All will be his someday.My Grandchilden in the future will have this wonderful collection and so on and so on. Thants Christian and your Father for blessing us with this.
The gmt complication is one of my absolute favorites and easily my most used one too! Recently picked up the Tudor bb gmt and am absolutely loving it definitely my favorite out of my collection!
More impressive than Rollie’s watch is that tan. Great having you back on, Rollie.

In 1999 I received my medical license.
I'd decided that getting through medical school and training and getting my license would be celebrated with a year of birth GMT. I'd spent a year researching 1675s, researching the eBay and VRF sellers, learning the scheme of serial numbers and how to figure out production year.
That GMT was my only watch for years and the watch I wore to the first RedBar get together when Craniotes and I met up at the original RedBar in midtown Manhattan.
That watch now sits in my safe waiting for my eldest child's 18th birthday.
I've been fortunate to own many other watches, and Im wearing the modern 126710 Pepsi now, but that 1675 and my Dad's 1953 OP are special.

There is a way to tell the difference between the gold and steel GMT Pepsi. The White gold’s dial is blue whereas the steel is black…and I’m sure you know

There's a load of people in the younger generation who will buy their first Rolex when they can't necessarily afford to. Spend their life savings just to appear like they've made it hah. I like you guys attitude of working towards which gives it sentimental value. Just bought my first Tudor which is a big achievement for me hope to work my way up to a rolex some day!

If you were to buy your White Gold GMT today would you still get the black dial vs the blue?
Blue dials command more money. Does one go with what one likes best or just buy the black dial and have Rolex replace with blue at no cost which they offer on watches older then 5 years. I appreciate you answering my questions very much.

The Nebbiolo grape is a very very aristocratic grape and of course the grape used for a Barbaresco and the KING the Barolo. The bottle needs 2 years to peak, but lets not split hairs that wine rocks and I tip my hat, Cin Cin ragazzi!!
