Great quilt. And we all can cut and do it the way we want. This is her way. Good job Misty!!! Great easy quilt. ❤
Oh I love this pattern! This looks great with the colors you have chosen … but I’m seeing a ton of different color combinations with this quilt! Even shrinking the pattern for a baby quilt! Thank you so much!
This is a great quilt! It could easily be geared toward a masculine quilt! I see lots of possibilities! Thanks, Misty!
I agree! Always looking for something more masculine for my husband, my boys, brothers and nephews!
I agree! A wonderful option for the men in our lives. Tons of color options.... love a pattern with so many options!
Two quilts in a row that are more modern imo. I love it!!
ILOVE this!!! ❤ Solid fabrics and no border! What a breath of freshness. Thank you for making a modern quilt!
We're thrilled to hear that you are loving this quilt as much as we love it!
Love the modern look. More more more please in this direction. Lovely teaching, Misty!
Looks wonderful! I've already got a plan for woodland and nature colors for a memory quilt of our family vacation in the mountains!
What a great pattern! Can be used so many different ways and with different materials. Thank you Misty!
I would have sewn the 3 strips together then subcut and sewn to s10” square. But, easy quilt. Lots of options.
You would need to miter the corners.
Love this quilt. So modern and clean lines. Thanks Misty.
I love this pattern! It is easy, but looks so difficult! Thanks for sharing! Misty, I think you did an excellent job explaining how to make this quilt!
Oh this is wonderful, and i immediately saw Kaffe fabric with coordinating solids.... Love it! Thanks Misty!
I don’t care for modern but your suggestion for Kaffe fabrics or other patterned fabrics would be beautiful!
I like the idea of starching the fabric before cutting the setting triangles. It would make them more stable. Quilters can have some great suggestions, fostering a community of sewers looking to help make the process a viable one. Misty- This is a wonderful quilt and so many great suggestions to make it our own. Once again, thanks for showcasing darker backgrounds!
Nice block but you do not want the biased edges on the outside.
So cute misty. Thank you for sharing!
Sure liked these projects
I love this and those colors. They really pop. Thanks for sharing!
Totally in love with this pattern!!
Thank-You Misty for the tutorial. I"ve wanted to make a quilt by showcasing a print of many animals on . Thanks for the Good Idea.a dark Christmas fabric (old). I need to "fussy-cut" the animals and suround them with strips of Christmas fabric of which I have many old prints. Good project for hot summer days.
Brilliant. I can see my great Grandsons Christmas dinosaurs
Oh I love this. Thanks Misty, I’ll be making this one
I don’t like all those bias sides exposed on your setting triangles. Why don’t you just cut a 23” square and cut it diagonally both ways? That will keep a nice grainline on the outside edge of your setting triangles? That way you won’t end up with a lot of stretch on those outside edges. Definitely rekey makes for a better experience.
Probably didn’t even consider your option. But if I make this I would do it your way. Plus I would iron my fabric before I cut it out. I hate to see wrinkles in fabric, even little ones!
Given the bias edge that she used a stay stitch around the perimeter would help with the stretch
I’m sure Misty did it this way in order to continue the pattern all the way to the outside edges. What a great quilt and so versatile for using many different fabric choices!
She's sewing on the straight of grain.
It’s more difficult to cut a square on the bias. Cutting a square mostly on the grain and doing a quick stitch on the bias edge (especially side that won’t get much handling) it’s easier to do.
Love the colors and it’s less intimidating than it appears! Thank you
Love this design and thar grey background fabric.
Thank you so very much for your tutorials. You are a breath of fresh air and easy to learn from.
I really enjoyed this pattern, beginner friendly and modern.
I can picture this done with a Christmas /winter themed 10” square with coordinating colors!
That would be sew beautiful! What a great idea.
Ohh, I have a Christmas fabric that is a scene, that would be great as the 10 inch square. Very inspiring.
Excellant dear Misty , will try for sure , Australia
Thanks for sharing the wonderful quilt Kristy.
Misty this is a beautiful modern looking quilt! Once again, thank you!!
A great way to use a one sided log cabin block.
Love this quilt!!❤You make it look so easy! Thank you so much for sharing this!😊
That's beautiful the way it is, but I like the idea of maybe using a print layer cake like you mentioned & solids from a jelly roll!!! Fun either way 😊😊
I like this quilt. Thank you Misty ❤🎉😊
Great video Misty! Love this quilt! ❤️😊
Love this!! I see sew many possibilities!!
I was thinking in the beginning - why doesn’t Misty join the strips then cut to size? Then you put them together with staggered seams in the corners and it made so much sense ❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you for showing me a better way to join stripy corners
Love it!! Definatley gonna make this one. One suggestion, those who do the math. It would be so awesome if we had yardage to make several sizes. I suck at figuring that out with all the color choices. I would love to do this for a king bed and I know it could be done
Beautiful quilt Misty. I’m going to examine my stash and use a layer cake I didn’t want cut up and check out some jelly rolls that will match (or maybe 🤔 do a little shopping😁). Thanks for another great tutorial.
Fabulous quilt. This seems so simple to make, yet it looks like a lot of work. I have to try this 😅 Thank you for the inspiration 🎉
Nice modern quilt. Also great for men.
Love this!! Such a statement and looks easy. Love a pattern with so many options, both colorways and recipients. Thank you!
The possibilities seriously are endless with this and all the ways you can totally personalize it for your recipient.
I have an idea for those long bias edges, sew a scant 1/4" stay-stitch on both sides of the diagonal cutting line
So clever thank you Misty
Thank you, what a fabulous block, makes a very interesting quilt. Love it❤
Lovely color 🤩🤩
Love this quilt! You mentioned that you made four yellow blocks and trimmed them off on the sides. Could you make three yellow blocks, and cut one in half to complete the two sides?
What a fun quilt, thanks.
Beautiful quilt
This is so pretty😊
Misty, appreciate all your tutorials, now I need some guidance on how to use the 80/20 fusible batting for a twin quilt top I have just finsihed??
Maybe you can direct me to an already made tutorial that you have made or Jenny or Natalie...Thank-You so much.
Fantastic Misty❤️❤️❤️
What fun!!
Great job Misty!! Very pretty quilt, will be doing this one ❤
This is definitely a quilt I will do!
Yayyyy! This makes us sew happy to hear.
Great job
I wonder what it would look like in a jelly roll I already have? And I’d use a color background like the gray you used.
Sometimes I wish they could use graphics to show what completely different colors/fabrics would look like for the same quilt! Just looked at the Daily Deal and was thinking that these fabrics might work well?
I love this quilt pattern, what is the finished size?
The finished size is 65" by 75 1/2"!
It’s such an effective pattern but I have to agree with @lindadeis4818 about the bias edges on the outside edge of the quilt.
@@nonya.bizness you have to get to that stage first.
What would the requirements be if using precuts - at least for the blocks? I have a huge stash that I would like to find projects for.
Is the binding the same fabric as the background?
This is beautiful but you should change the colors so we can see it in another color way! Just a suggestion.
Attention grabbing quilt. Looks great!
Is there a problem quilting when you have the bias edges?
Looking at buying a new sewing machine. What sewing machine do you have?
I don't understand the side squares they are not full pieced blocks. When there are four per row, then three per row.
Why does she have to pin when she says right at the beginning of sewing that she’s taking a few anchoring stitches, straightens the two fabrics and keeps going. What’s wrong with that?
Why didn’t you make strip sets?
You could make strip sets, but you would need to use mitred corners to get the same effect. That many mitred corners is not something I would recommend to a beginner or novice sewist/quilter. Using strip sets would also take more time and create a tiny bit more waste fabric. The method Misty demonstrates will piece together quick and easy and anyone can duplicate it with great results. That doesn’t mean you can’t go for the advanced look of the mitred corners. I thought about it. Go for it! Or should I say, “Sew for it.”
Wouldn't be easy to sew the 3 strip together first then to the square
Love the quilt thanks for your tutorial. But I hate your noisy sewing machine lol
