OMG give Mitsy a chance to explain what she did. Jeny will get her chance to show how she did hers. It is to confusing with everyone jumping in. she already send how many charm packs and there also was a list. Remember this tutorial is for the listeners.
This is the first triple play I have wanted to make all three. Misty’s is traditional, Natalie’s is a new technique and layout and Jenny’s has an awesome placement. Love that you all used Tula at the same time. So neat to see how different they can look.
I love Misty’s quilt. Natalie’s is amazing. However, Jenny’s Quilt is my favorite. I would like to make all three. I rarely like every Quilt in triple, but every one of these quilts gorgeous. They are so different but unique from the smallest, to the larges.
Now I need to order the periwinkle templates!! Quilting is one hobby, collecting fabric is a hobby by itself, and now collecting templates is beginning to become my third hobby!! Lol😂
I don't quilt; I crochet. But crochet is a solo sport and I love the energy you ladies bring when you are working together. ( my husband loves the duck)
I have the small periwinkle templete and I just saw this video and ordered the leg for it. I am so happy you made a template for it. It makes it so helpful. Thank you! Wasn't sure I was ever going to use it but now that I ordered the leg and watched these videos I can't wait to use it!!!!!!
I love triple play. I am always so excited to see how different your quilts are although you all had the same task. And it's amazing how each of you has done things in a different way. All three - quits and you, ladies- are adorable.
I just appreciate you 3 girls showing us for free how to make all your beautiful quilts. You all talk all you want i learn from all of you. Thank you so much.
Ladies, you're having too much fun! Misty's background fabric is very pretty & love her design. Natalie's design is bold & new! But I have trouble sewing on so much black; thinking a dark gray would work for my background. Jenny's quilt, loving her light gray background, is very pretty. Yep, all three quilts are something I would attempt. Thank you ladies for an enjoyable Triple Play!
Thank you ladies. I always enjoy the triple play tutorials. This time I nearly turned off the tutorial because the new leg template was required to make the quilts, but I'm glad I watched until the end. All three quilts were very pretty, but I enjoyed Jenny's the most. I appreciate that she didn't use the new leg template, instead showing another way to make a periwinkle quilt. I already own the periwinkle template, and the 5 x 5' ruler, (purchased from MSQC), so I'll be able to make her quilt without waiting for the new template. Thanks again ladies, you all always do a terrific job.
All three quilts are gorgeous, and all so different! I LOVE triple play time - I wish it were more often! On Jenny's quilt, if you took one quarter of each block, it sort of looks like a bird in flight...
Love you girls! Misty your quilt is adorable for a baby! Natalie’s reminds me of the Jetsons and Jenny’s looks like a beautiful kaleidoscope! Great job on all three! 🎉
I love the black background of Natalie's- but all three are so different, I think they all look great. I picture Jenny's neon ones with a black background, too.❤
You 3 ladies are so creative! I didn't have much interest in doing a periwinkle block before. But this has definitely sparked my interest. Another tutorial well done🎉 Thanx again!
We went to Hamilton on Tuesday. It was a beautiful day. All the shops were so nice and staff so helpful. It is a long day trip for us but granddaughter drove us. Happy time shared with her (she is not a quilter but loves seeing the happiness it brings to her mom and me). Her son and my hubby enjoyed the man cave. The 7 year old beat papa in pool. Love your tutorials. 🐥🐥
Want to go with my DIL. Shes not a quilter but she crochets. Know she would have a blast in the yarn shop. Maybe someday. It’s a VERY long day from their place near Dayton so we would have to make a 3-day trip out of it.
Oh WOW! My goodness, I really can’t decide which design I like best, because they’re all so gorgeous!! You Doan Girls have truly knocked this one out of the park.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
A great tutorial! These patterns are really pretty! I had wondered what that odd shaped template was for!?!? I guess I will need to get one or two sizes! Thank you, Doan Ladies!
Triple Play for another win! Wow, it is amazing how one pattern can be done so many ways and give a new look each way. Love the creativity and patterns. Doan Girls for the PERIWINKLE WIN.
Have three positions: someone to cut, sew, and iron. I can do any of them...need the other two.😊. Always Love the triple plays. Can't decide my favorite. 💕💕
I love watching you guys do the triple play, lots of ideas and you work together like a dance, it is rather magic and you can tell you love each other and are having fun which makes it fun for us watchers.
Wow!! I love how y’all matched with your wardrobe today!! 😃 Misty’s was so happy and I thought it is indeed a cute baby quilt that I jumped on and ordered the mini set!! I love how we always see 3 different styles of the same block! Have a great day and happy quilting!! 🧵❤️🍀
Natalie's is so bold and bright! Jenny's binding and backing is as sweet as the front. I may try to make one like Misty's because it's just adorable😊 Thank you!
Always fun to see the three of you, it’s Friday, and you brought back the old music! Talk about a triple play of a triple play. Bring back the music please
If you did the center diamonds that come together in a contrasting color (on Jenny’s quilt, the double periwinkle) it would have a totally different look, it would look like a cross almost. Great uses of the periwinkle template
So thankful for this video! I’m working on my summer strolls triple play and was sooooooo confused why things weren’t lining up!!! Makes so much more sense now. 🤦🏻♀️
Just wondering what is going to happen to triple play when Momma Doan goes on her adventure with Papa. I am so excited for her but will miss her immensely. I have every confidence that the branches of the Doan tree will carry the load since they come from a strong trunk. Love this tutorial so much and I have an idea for a baby quilt that I will share when I finish it!
I love your triple plays. Each of you makes a quilt for all the different stage of quilting we are all at. Me I am an intermediate beginner. So most of the time if I make one of these, I choose Jenny version. But once in a while, I step out of my comfort zone and try one of the other girls pattern. I live for Fridays and get super excited for triple play Fridays 😊 thanks
Many years ago (probably 6 or more years agon), I was making a large version of Misty's quilt using the papers. I cut my periwinkles from a blue batik jelly roll. I was using papers until I figured out my own leg piece. I think I needed something like 380 periwinkles. One night I was chain piecing. After chain piecing about 80 periwinkles, I realized I had run out of bobbin thread about 80 periwinkles back. I just set it aside. I only recently pulled it out to work on again. I guess I was it was meant for me to pull it out at this time now that there is a leg template. I will be buying that template as soon as possible.
Thank you lovely ladies you have inspired me to try different things I love watching you all its like I've found my people sending big hugs from the UK x
I can’t decide whether Jenni looks better or Natalie. Misty is always look good and always look the same although I’m glad she’s gotten rid of the little girl look and come into her own as a beautiful woman. Natalie, you are exquisitely beautiful and Jenny, I think you’ve always known how special, beautiful, entertaining, and confident you are.
I love each of you so much! You encourage me to do something that looks difficult. I love the triple play episodes because it’s the same principle but the difference is mind blowing. Thank you all so much for!!!
I am loving these triplE PLAY SEGMENTS. I ALSO JUST LISTENED TO AN INTERVIEW WITH YOU, AND I LOVED LEARNING ALL ABOUT HOW YOU CAME TO LIVE IN HAMILTON MISSOURI AND STARTED QUILTING. I AM SORT OF A BEGINNER QUILTER, I HAVE ONLY REALLY MADE EASY I-SPY QUILTS FOR GREAT GRAND CHILDREN. I AM THINKING I WOULD LOVE TO COME TO HAMILTON AND SEE YOUR SHOPS AND MEET YOU. I LOVE I HAVE BEEN TO INDEPENDENCE MISSOURI ON A CHURCH HISTORY TOUR, BUT I THINK I NEED TO COME TO HAMILTON. I AM PUTTING IT ON MY TO DO LIST.
You ladies are my quilting buddies! While "watching" this video, I've been piecing another Orange Peel , this one with the big template on a layer cake. Love it!
Triple play is my favorite segment. It's so fun to watch you ladies when you're together.
Totally agree, love when you share stories together!
Mine as well
I wish they would do one a week lol
Totally agree

😅
Natalie is a true artist. She sees a quilt pattern as a stepping stone to go beyond the normal to true expression! She is gifted!
OMG give Mitsy a chance to explain what she did. Jeny will get her chance to show how she did hers. It is to confusing with everyone jumping in. she already send how many charm packs and there also was a list. Remember this tutorial is for the listeners.
Agree. It’s distracting and hard to follow. I think it happens to Misty on these videos way more than it happens to the others.
Misty’s quilt would make a sweet baby quilt
I almost went past this because I saw circles. I am not advanced enough for arcs. Glad I kept watching.
I love to watch misty when shes doing a video by her self.
I really enjoyed meeting Misty and Natalie at Quilt Con! I cried a bit because this channel has meant so much to me for years. ❤️
I would’ve cried too!❤
I would have cried! This channel taught me how to make quilts and I could not be more grateful, especially to Jenny ❤
This is the first triple play I have wanted to make all three. Misty’s is traditional, Natalie’s is a new technique and layout and Jenny’s has an awesome placement. Love that you all used Tula at the same time. So neat to see how different they can look.

The big block would make a great tote bag!
Natalie and Misty do such a great job. Jenny has to step back and let these talented women shine
I don't quilt; I crochet. But crochet is a solo sport and I love the energy you ladies bring when you are working together. ( my husband loves the duck)
I like Jenny's quilt the best. And guess what? I have all of the Periwinkle templates, so now I'm all set to play with them! And NO papers needed!
❤ALWAYS look forward to TRIPLE PLAY DAY!❤
I can’t believe it’s Triple Play again. That month passed quickly. All beautiful quilts.
This looks like a kaleidoscope quilt. Very cool Natalie.
Doan ladies hitting a home run!
I’m glad you showed Misty’s Block being sewn. I wasn’t understanding it until you did it. Thanks. Such a fun day
I love Misty’s quilt for maybe a baby quilt, and although Natalie’s is awesome, I absolutely want to make Jenny’s quilt. So pretty.
I always seem to like Natalie's quilts best.
I have the small periwinkle templete and I just saw this video and ordered the leg for it. I am so happy you made a template for it. It makes it so helpful. Thank you! Wasn't sure I was ever going to use it but now that I ordered the leg and watched these videos I can't wait to use it!!!!!!
You all look so springy and cheerful!
I love triple play. I am always so excited to see how different your quilts are although you all had the same task.
And it's amazing how each of you has done things in a different way.
All three - quits and you, ladies- are adorable.
Misty’s quilt would be a darling baby quilt
These are all great quilts but I think Natalie's is my favorite!!!
Love triple play. Your interaction with one another is inspiring.
I am in love with Natalie's quilt! Great job Natalie!
It was fun hearing Tula Pink talk about her designing and that Missouri Star is her local quilt shop!
I have a million periwinkle papers left to use, but this looks waaaaaaaaaay easier.
Misty, I love love LOVE your quilt! It is so fresh and springy looking. Thanks!
I just appreciate you 3 girls showing us for free how to make all your beautiful quilts. You all talk all you want i learn from all of you. Thank you so much.
Natalie is gorgeous!
Natalie, you look so pretty in the fuchsia blouse!!I love that color!!
The dark fabric on Natalie’s quilt first appeared to me as the foreground with the patchwork as the background. Then it switched. Groovy.
Love watching the 3 of you together. 😊
I love Natalie's quilt...Great on the dark background ❤
I just love you ladies❤️. Don’t ever stop doing this, thank you.
I’m glad you got your favorite machine back because you look so much more comfortable using the speed demon 😂❤
That other one was so loud! Is funny how I remember exactly how this one sounds, down to the cutting of the thread! 😅
Three beautiful ladies always show us three different beautiful projects. Ya'll are the definition of awesomeness.
Ladies, you're having too much fun! Misty's background fabric is very pretty & love her design. Natalie's design is bold & new! Love all the quilts, Natalie I love your design ideas...they are always amazing. You look awesome...love your hairstyle.
Love Natalie's quilt.. Always excited to see what she comes up with
Natalie’s quilt is gorgeous. ❤
I love this so much, I had to pause the video and order the supplies immediately. 😂😂😂
All three quilts are gorgeous, and all so different! I LOVE triple play time - I wish it were more often! On Jenny's quilt, if you took one quarter of each block, it sort of looks like a bird in flight...
I love triple play, thank you for your time and love each personality
Please do a second edition of the Triple Play Book! Sew many wonderful designs.

Love these. Now to add them to my huge list of one I’m making soon
All these quilts are amazing, but this time Jenny’s is my favorite! It is vibrant and very interesting
Oh how I look forward to and enjoy watching triple play - the best on RUclips - thank you all x
I love these quilts but Jenny’s is my fav! Going to make. 🧵🪡
Have three positions: someone to cut, sew, and iron. I can do any of them...need the other two.😊. Always Love the triple plays. Can't decide my favorite. 💕💕

Thank you a thousand times girls! You are so creative and it's wonderful to see how excited you get! Three delicious quilts! Very good!
Natalie's quilt reminds me of the CBS eye. Love all the Periwinkle Quilts.
Wow!! I love how y’all matched with your wardrobe today!! 😃
Misty’s was so happy and I thought it is indeed a cute baby quilt that I jumped on and ordered the mini set!! I love how we always see 3 different styles of the same block! Have a great day and happy quilting!! 🧵❤️🍀
Triple play is my favourite!
I love triple play. You 3 together is so great. Such wonderful memories to hold dear.
I just bought the pattern even though I promised not to buy anymore patterns this year! Lol always love your wonderful tutorials Donna! ❤️
Natalie's is so bold and bright! Jenny's binding and backing is as sweet as the front. I may try to make one like Misty's because it's just adorable😊 Thank you!
The What Ifs on these is so inspiring. Thank you ! Love all 3 quilt ideas !
Ladies your projects are all wonderful as usual❣️ Triple Play remains a favorite each month.
Love Triple Play each Friday!!! You gals are the best!! Look forward each week to learn from all three of you!!
❤❤great creative blocks, love each one!! Thank you for your tutorials!!😊
So thankful for this video! I’m working on my summer strolls triple play and was sooooooo confused why things weren’t lining up!!! Makes so much more sense now. 🤦🏻♀️
I was just thinking how much fabric I’d need for a twin and bigger ❤

A tip on pressing small triangles by designer Sheila Christianson is to press seams open to make everything flatter.
Thank you lovely ladies you have inspired me to try different things I love watching you all its like I've found my people sending big hugs from the UK x
What a beautiful trio of quilts. Thanks so much. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
My favorite is usually Natalie's. I love her contemporary esthetic. However, today Jennie's is so so pretty. This is one of my favorite triple plays.
Game changer!! Those papers were expensive Now make them biger
Eu amei todos eles!!
This is a cool triple play!
Fun to see each iteration of the templates…traditional to modern.

I do hope these patterns end up in your Block magazine. Love all these!
Love that Double Periwinkle, Jenny. I'm putting that one on my list!
