    Prices have been announced, and the Zeekr X can now be pre-ordered in the EU. Prices range between 45.000 euro for the entry-level Single motor model, to 50.000 euro for the dual motor awd version. So, comparable to its sister's Volvo EX30 prices, but with somewhat higher specs.

    The fact that it has an NCM battery is a big drawback for me, and I would be much more attracted if it had an LFP or sodium battery of the same capacity. I hope that the sale of vehicles is like at Tesla, and not through the dealer network in Europe.

    • @telescopesh
      @telescopesh  Год назад

      Quite the contrary, LFP is a low cost alternative to NCM that is only used on cost-sensitive models. LFP has lwer energy density, low-temp performance is significantly worse. SOC estimation is more difficult. You can manage it if you are Tesla but Model S & X are still on NCM cells.

    • @vlatkopetrovic4512
      @vlatkopetrovic4512 Год назад

      @@telescopesh You are not right, the energy density of all batteries has increased in the last two years. LFP are like former NCM with energy density over 200 Wh/kg vs NCM batteries is currently around 270 Wh/Kg.. There are vehicles on the market with a battery capacity of more than 100 kWh. So LFP and sodium batteries are the direction to go, not NCM, because they have greater advantages (low probability of self-ignition, can be regularly charged up to 100% while the NCM slightly above 80%, which ultimately gives a smaller vehicle range, are far cheaper, less capacity degradation over time, etc.).
      Look at their densities, for example LMFP has an energy density of 240 Wh/Kg, and the energy density of NCM batteries is currently around 270 Wh/Kg.
      The LMFP volumetric cell to pack ratio has reached 76% after adopting the L600 cell, and the system energy density has reached 190Wh/kg, surpassing the pack energy density of current mass produced NCM cells. It is due to the high energy density of Astroinno battery that can enable a range of 1000 km without relying on NCM materials.”

    • @telescopesh
      @telescopesh  Год назад

      @@vlatkopetrovic4512 I worked in an EV company and oversaw the switch from NCM to LFP cells and knows all the pros and cons behind it. You can list all the data(btw most of them are wrong anyway) but give me a high-end EV that's using LFP cells then we can talk.

    • @vlatkopetrovic4512
      @vlatkopetrovic4512 Год назад

      @@telescopesh Battery technology advances very quickly, the energy density of batteries is constantly increasing, and the difference between them in energy density is constantly decreasing. There are far more advantages of LFP and LMFP batteries than NCMs. NCMs they have a slightly higher energy density, and the most important thing is that NCMs can only be charged up to about 80% in regular charging, so that they have a slightly higher energy density in reality you can not rarely use, and there are a bunch of other advantages of LFP and LFMP batteries that I mentioned in the previous text.

    • @telescopesh
      @telescopesh  Год назад +1

      @@vlatkopetrovic4512 I provide regular analysis to battery manufacturers in China. You don't need to educate me on battery. And again you are wrong. All high end EVs were, are and always will be on NCM cells until solid state battery enters volume production.
