The interior is wild at that price point. So much value.
So many cool functions too. Ethan didn't even have time to mention that neat sunglass holder on the driver side roof, or those 5 touch shortcut buttons on the bottom of the steering wheel. This is perhaps one of the most innovative car interiors in years. Sadly Doug DeMuro doesn't have access to Chinese cars, because he would have to make an hour long video just go through every single quirk and feature.
Don't worry, dealers will correct the price to cover every single feature.
The interiors are great, but the overall perceived quality is superb. I also like the refreshing exterior, it's contemporary. Geely is really into something, they will prove unstoppable everywhere.
Yes, there was way to much to cover! Would also love to see Doug get his hands on something like this, he'd have a ball haha.
@@Wheelsboy I wish DD would use 'innovative', 'inventive', 'thoughtful design' or even 'interesting' ...instead of writing something off with the dismissive 'quirky'..who at times seems incapable of looking past the dubious charms of a Buick Grand National!.
Zeekr for Europe will initially come to Sweden and the Netherlands. Other European markets such as the UK should follow later on.
I think they will enter other countries sooner or later, and this type of car is very suitable for countries with narrow roads such as southern Europe and France

MG too (not yet available in all European countries, currently missing in 9 European countries such as Switzerland, Romania, Poland or Finland).
And it's a sister car to the Volvo C30!

I saw this car last week and it blew me away, I can guarantee that when you experience it for yourself, you can feel the material and you will be fascinated by it.
A compact suv that has nearly no shortcoming.The best choice if you want a luxurious suv but still fits narrow Eropean roads.
It has the premium feel from inside and out,the price is extremely competitive. the look is really unique👍
The sliding center screen is the most practical and versatile use of large tablet- like dash instrumentation, not a bunch of screens scattered across car interiors as an afterthought common in most cars these days.
Wow what a radically different car and at that price, if it makes it to the UK under £30,000 it will sell as fast as they can ship them over here ! Love it
you need to ad around 11% import fees and then the crazy Markup from the delaers. i would guess £35k for the 27k version
@@tonypaca3015 pity as then its up against the Tesla and a whole raft of other EV’s may not have all the fancy stuff but they get 300 miles and go from A to B. This really could be an ICE killer at the right price from the get go

with 18 cm ground clearance this can be called suv, for sure. that's higher than ford mach e, ioniq 5, model Y and glc 63.
This is pretty wild, price is incredible for the US. Interior is pretty amazing, exterior is fine / ok. I bet bringing Chinese EVs to the states would be a huge disruption to the market.

I can only hope that many of the BEV you share will ever make it make it to the States. I really like this one. I would buy this one in a second. Retired my Nissan Leaf for this one ,but then again wished for Luxury City BEV.

Chinese will not sell anything good to US anymore, and more and more countries will refuse US paper dollars.

The Commonwealth of Independent States is becoming the group that knows Chinese cars best. They have already imported tank 500 and zeekr 001 in large quantities.
the nissan leaf is a joke compared to this, especially when the zeekr X only priced at $26K USD. Actually I went and test drove all Chinese EVs available just two weeks ago, I was blown away by how good they are, and how much value for the money they offer. For instance, the zeekr 001, which was one of my favorites, you're basically paying $50k for a car with features, build quality, and performance equivalent to a $200k car, if not better.
this is subjective comparison is based on my personal experiences living in the states and owning cars from toyota, lexus, bmw, mercedez, and a tesla, and test drove enough of what the US car market has to offer.
And I regret buying my second tesla in China back in 2021, if I would've just waited couple more years I'd be able to choose one from all these amazing new selections of EVs.

Very nice car, for less than a Model 3 in China, is this too good to be true?🤔 The exterior feels like an updated exterior of a Model Y. I'll definitely pay $60K for this in Canada without a problem.
It'll probably cost even a bit more than that. The Zeekr will never come to the US, and therefore it'll never come to Canada. But its more boring sister car Volvo EX30 should eventually make its way to North America. Given that the C40 electric already starts at $60k CAD, I can't imagine its eventual replacement the EX30 will be cheaper.
Crazy to think that in comparison, Chinese consumers can go pick up one of these Zeekr Xs for just 30k USD, right now!
@@tren133 Volvo and Geely cars will never be cheap.
@@bafattvahetere Volvo is a luxury brand, maybe on on Merc/BMW level, but certainly on the same level as Lincoln, Lexus, Genesis, etc. So why would Volvos ever be cheap? Geelys on the other hand are quite cheap, all the way down to the Panda Mini, which costs less than 10k USD.
Guess Geely is actually the owner of Volvo.

My friend, a Maybach owner, says this is the perfect car for him as a daily commuter.
Because he feels no interior quality dropping at all when he walks out from the back of Maybach and enters the driving position of Zeekr X, while Tesla can't provide this feeling.
Tesla provides budget feelings.
My friend, a Model 3 owner, wanted to buy a second EV, so I told him to come check out my ID.4. He immediately bought one of his own, because, as he describes it, the ID.4 actually has an interior commensurate with a $45k USD car. He described his Model 3 as essentially having the interior quality of a Toyota Corolla LOL.
And it's not like the ID.4 has some crazy nice interior, it is only in comparison to Tesla. Meanwhile this Zeekr X's interior would blow any ID car interior out of the water.
@@tren133 The Corolla has better interior quality. And a much better ride quality. Teslas are great in some aspects but they need a lot of improvement. Becoming less popular might force them to improve.
I have a Model 3 and ID4. Kind regretted getting the ID4, wife likes it thou. Model 3 will be my highschooler's soon, I am getting a Y long range. In a perfect world, I would have either 2 Nios, or a Nio + BYD, or a Nio + Zeekr X, would consider HiPhi Y also.
We will wait for this car in South Africa

ID3 price in china is €18,000 ,This car is €26,000. ID3 price in Europe is €40,000 .So Zeekr X price in Europe probably will not be cheap.

@@user-znick87 The sister brand, Link & Co, is selling its Link & Co 01 PHEV in Europe at 40,000EUR, that's 1.5x price in China. So Zeekr X would probably also sell at 40,000EUR. Definitely an ID3 killer at this price.

they did do a zeeker 001 in the test track but that is an older vehicle , should be due for a refresh soon.
We kind of missed the boat with the 001, so we will wait till the refresh that's coming soon.
I know Zeekr call it a premium ev but look at that price! This is without no doubt the best looking non premium ev in the market today and i wish one day it will come to Indonesia.

So this an ID3 compedator and man does it look good. Those interior features are nuts, although the small boot space might be a turn off for some buyers. I still have some concerns about something going wrong with the door unlocking and getting trapped out of your car.
As other cars with electricly operated doors there is a manual latch "hidden" inside the door bin, similar to a Tesla or the E-Mustang.

In the video the car doors are opened pushing a button on the Pillar. Is it correct? not fingerprint or tactile. I am concerned about opening the car from the outside in emergency cases (as no battery cases in fuel-engined type). Do you guys have some idea or additional information about this kind of working modes etc? thank you very much

LOVE that confident front - very assured, but it does remind me of a Porsche every time I see it.
that interior is just 👌, it's beautiful (although with an inevitable all screen adjustment), it's very practical (most likely a Volvo input and resource) and yeah some might think, why do you need a removable center console or removable cup holder, first, they still manage to build it well and solid, and second, if the fridge happens to be broken or such, it will be so easy to remove, it can me consider user replaceable, it's the opposite of anti consumer that what a lot of manufacturer doing

Looks good. Stylish vehicle. Not sure why Geely Group brands have so many similar cars. The Volvo EX30 will be a similar car as well. On another note, I don't think the Polestar 5 is underpinned by the SEA architecture. Volvo and Polestar tend to go with the SPA2 platform for their larger cars and from what I understand, Polestar is coming out with a different platform for the 5. The 4 uses the SEA architecture.

@@elon6784 it's not better in anyway, it's just that there are Tesla's everywhere and people like a car that's different. I would've only gotten a Mach e at the "correct price " which is ... 5k cheaper than a Model Y at a minimum

Agree, but I can't get the 001into my garage, as it is 5 x 2 meter.
As a 001 owner I'd say Zeekr X is more focused on design. And its seat is way better than 001. 001 is mostly focused on the chasis, and not much to say about the design.

Yes, rear seats are totally foldable but only in 5-seater version. 4-seater version has fixed "armrest column" in the middle of the back that stays put all the time.

@@la8pw The back seat in the 4 seat Zeekr X is 100% able to be folded down. Nearly flat too. It is even a 40:20:40 split so you can fold down just part of it if you need. Unless you absolutely need the middle seat, I would definitely go for the 4 seater. The rear seat versatility is just so much better in the 4 seater, because you can remove the center console, and fold the side seats UP in the 4 seater. But the seat bottom is completely fixed in the 5 seater.
@@la8pw Yes, the back seats in 001 are fully foldable, making an almost flat trunk.
As an owner of Smart#1, my heart is broken after seeing this car came with such a competitive price.
You got a sunshade for the panoramic roof on the #1 but none on the X.
Mate in USA it would cost 45000$ a minimum.

Re the car, impressed it actually has a rear wiper !! Looks the rear view from the windscreen mirror is quite restricted? Range is a bit disappointing.I'd pay more for a real 300 miles.
Really like the adjustability of the seats and maybe the center screen. Exterior is not so great imo. Guessing the US will not allow this in as it would disrupt the whole ev market.

Even if a "premium brand" Zeekr made a consumer friendly priced Car that's one thing most Chinese company do no matter what the product is. "premium with Chinese characteristics". i love it tbh 😂
Some "Chinese" cars aren't totally Chinese. The Great Wall cars, the Ora Cat and such are designed by an ex-Porsche designer. This Zeekr was designed in Sweden and a lot of development in Zeekr is in Sweden. The overall car looks to be designed for the Chinese and international market.
@@benjaminsmith2287 And they have Bosch controllers, Qualcomm or Nvidia CPUs, Michelin tires, Google operating system... There's no "totally Japanese" or "totally German" cars either in this regard. They are from Chinese maker and made in China, that's it.
It's ~50% more expensive than a similar-sized compact SUV, e.g. BYD Yuan. So not that "consumer friendly" in Chinese domestic market, really. Of course it worth the money.

It's meant to be a niche market product in China, namely the young middle class singles and DINKs. So the front two seats get the most attention, while leaving relatively little room at the back.

Nah that would be the BYD Atto 3. Not nearly as interesting as the Zeekr X, but the Atto is already selling well in many international markets across the world.
I love the side profile and the rear but from the front I can't help think that those headlights make it look like a Pontiac Aztec 😅

Where is the zeekr 001 which was released in china before this one and which is much more beautiful?
46.600 and 50.400 Euros is the official price in Sweden (converted currency). We and Holland are lucky enough to receive X and 001 this year.
