Theres an abandoned peice of property that is a boarded up and over grown eyesore at the corner of my block. We've called the county about it for years, it attracts homeless people, rodents and insects that people are deathly allergic to, not to mention property damage. They tell me there's nothing they can do. One day, I turned down my street without a turn signal, (dead wrong on me) and got pulled over in front of this property. I rolled the window down to speak to the officer, handed her my info, but asked if we could do this by my house at the end of the street. She told me to sit tight, and got in her car. Im playing with my phone when I realize it's been a while. After about 10 minutes, I look up and noticed it's gotten a little darker, and since it's spring in florida I assume it's gonna rain. Then I hear he on her speaker. "Ma'am please honk once if your address is correct on your licence". I honk once. "Thank you. Please follow me to your residence" So I follow her. She gets out of the car and hands me my paperwork and licence back. "Today is your lucky day! I'm not going to write you a ticket because I was surrounded by a swarm of wasps. Do you know who owns that property? I tell her what we've done to try to get it dealt with and she says thank you. Then for an hour I see her in front of my house in her cruiser talking on the phone. A week later....the place is leveled and the grass is cut.
I just bought 9.4 acres of land to put a home on. It's fully gated, but not quite fully fenced yet. I want a no trespassing sign that reads, "Warning!! All trespassers will be prostituted and persecuted to the fullest extent" Doubtful a judge would find that too funny though.
Oof the private property one. My dad has an abandoned house, we were gutting it and cant do anything with it, we had some lumber and windows that we pulled out, and it snowed, and some idiot plow driver thought he was supposed to plow us, plowed the back hard making everything splinters. So the guy probably screwed up his truck. But the next door neighbors decided to take down the fence, just so they could park, they asked that winter if they could park, and my dad said he could sell it to them. Also someone kicked down the door, with not much luck. So we think the neighbors did that.

We have that problem on our property to, my family owns 81 acres far up in the mountains (bout a four hour drive from where we actually live) and some guy that lives down the road from our propery, has five kids that CONSTANTLY drive through it, they've made trails, damaged plants, etc. The one time I went up there with my mom to help her replant saplings and fix fencing locations, the five pulled over on their quads some distance away from us and started, loudly, might I add, cussing up a storm and demanding to know who we were. We didn't bother with them, we just went about our work, but still... It's bad though that their dad tore a large area in our land apart so he could "drive more easily" to the well to get water back to his own property. Haven't been up there again in two years, but I can almost guarantee they've destroyed our plants and saplings again. I can't wait to sell those properties, I'm glad I've decided I'll never want to live up there, I don't thibk I could deal with that crap constantly, it's just not worth it.

The cup hadn't even hit the ground before I was lit up by the cops! They hit him with the $500 fine, made him pick up the cup (and everything else they could find nearby), and gave him a court date, "in case he wanted to dispute the ticket"! That last story - this kind of thing happens ALL THE TIME with us consultants. You may not know this, but there are only two types of people who hire consultants for their company 1. Hyper competent CEOs who know the most timely and cost-effective way to get certain projects done is to hire a consultant, and 2. Hyper INcompetent d-bags who hire consultants to do what they won't admit they don't know how to do. Guess which one always tries to stiff us? Fortunately, they are easy to discern which is which after only one meeting, about 95% of the time.
As a long time ATV rider with no place to ride that is legal in my state, if someone said they were the owner and wanted me to leave, I'd leave, no problem. There are lots of large pieces of land and few if any gates or fences so its very difficult to know if you have crossed from one place where you have gotten away with it before onto someone else's property. Add to that pieces of land that fell back to the state 15+ years ago for tax reasons so you do sometimes drive over or around old obstacles that once blocked access. But that is all due to NJ being too communistic to even allow a single commercial ATV park to survive. They basically force us to ride illegally.
My dad dirtbikes *a lot* and absolutely refuses to wear a helmet on a pedal bike (10-speed). He once stopped me and looked me in the eye and told me that if he ever caught me dirtbiking without a helmet, I wouldn't need to worry about hitting anything because he would ground me from touching any bike for the rest of my life. This man, who hates bike helmets, *never* goes on his dirt bike without a proper safety helmet. So to see this, where this man and his *8-year-old kid* are biking *without* helmets?? I- no.
5 minutes. Yes, finally a reasonable time to watch me favorite channel.
First post about a famous chicken place known for its politeness, I automatically thought 'Los Pollos Hermanos." I've been watching too much TV....
"Hurt Feelings" means Emotional Distress. Someone can definitely be sued for "hurt feelings" lol
3:14 wait they still didn't refund the full amount? oh hell no I would still be fighting for that other $80, not my mess, not my problem.
The driver probably still got his 80 plus 35 plus 80... uber was in the loss... it's cheaper for them to just pretend they were both right than facing a lawsuit from the driver...
And by the way 90% of those claims are false... lots of karens trying to score a free ride
Also... he took the ride, so he should still pay for the ride...
Are you a Karen?
@@vovozaum he paid for it but uber gave their money back, the problem is that stupid clean up fee for a mess he did not commit. The fact he still had to pay that is bs stupid. I would still be fighting for that, heck probably do a chargeback for it.
@@Gamemaster-64 since the value are the same, 80 bucks, it's hard to find which one got refunded, but if uber refunded the clean fee and the tip, he cant complain... he took the ride... he should pay for the ride...
If uber refunded the ride and the tip and kept the clean up fee, in that case there are 2 possible mistakes...
I know he said he didn't make a mess, but i've seen people try to get out of clean up fees after almost trashing a car...
He should have to pay for the ride... and about the clean up fee, i really don't know how uber could make sure he didn't do it...
$35,000 in small claims court? I smell B.S... especially since they didn’t even try to claim that amount.
I guess it’s possible the small claims cap is extremely high wherever he’s from, BUT I doubt it.
You should do r/Talesfromretail again
Walker B I totally agree!!
yes please
Or even r/Talesfromtechsupport
Nah nah nah r/crappydesign or r/softwaregore
Okay this is one hell of a satisfying subreddit. More please 😂
I think the hurt feelings one is "Emotional Damage" or something along those lines
Thank you for making me feel better while I'm sick, rSlash
"Pain and suffering is the legal term for the physical and emotional stress caused from an injury." This gives you more than the actual monies for the reason for the lawsuit.
As a TN native, hunter, and owner of a steel bat, long bow, crossbow, and Grandpa's shotgun, this dude has some Tanuki sized ones to come to their property with threats. He would've been on the hood of someone's truck in my neck of the woods.
And that is one image I would definitely pay money for!
When OP litteraly works for one month, didn't get paid, sued the 3 douches, & ended up being paid THREE month's worth of salary: *"HERE COMES THE MONEY"* (here comes the money song intensifies)
hurt feelings = Moral damages
For people who are impressed with the legal judgment, all the lawyer did was obtain default judgment because the other side didn't show up. Not particularly impressive...
Last person really knew to better call saul xD
This is why you make sure one of your closest friends is a lawyer so that way you can get this legality support pro bono
How dare that dish bag forsake Chick-fil-A
This subreddit is almost more cathartic than the revenge ones.
Yo I found one vid and I can’t stop watching I love you man
welcome to the life of a youtube user
RSlash you are the best Reddit RUclipsr!
He's the only one that I watch
UmbreonTwinkle agreed!
Ultimately, the Uber guy lost out on the tip, seeing as the cleaning fee was equal to the fare.
Nope... he probably still got the 80 plus 35 plus 80... uber was in the loss... it's cheaper for them...
Also 90% of those claims are false... lots of karens trying to score a free ride...
Uber doesn't care...
Trust me, i'm a driver... seen a lot of this
*Well, I know where the $500 Littering is: Honoloulou: I went on vacation there in the late 1980s, and my passenger threw a cup out of the window (he's an asshole, and does that pretty much everywhere). The cup hadn't even hit the ground before I was lit up by the cops! They hit him with the $500 fine, made him pick up the cup (and everything else they could find nearby), and gave him a court date, "in case he wanted to dispute the ticket"! The court date was like two months ahead - and I have zero doubt that they chose that date knowing full well that he was a tourist who would never come back for the ticket: priceless!*
this is basically prorevenge but without the cherry on top. i adore revenge posts.
The company founders sound a lot like my boss. Really great at talking things up and getting money and sponsors - absolute crud at following through and delivering on promises.
"Hurt feelings", would be emotional trauma.
"i work at a very famous chicken chain thats known for its kindness"
everyone: *knows its Chick-FIl-A*
That guy who bought zucchini cost himself more money, he should have been polite
The cashier was being nice
They broke the contract. That is serious.
Find it absolutely fascinating that OP keeps her tax records in her phone. Come on, give me a break
That bunny rabbit was also mooning the cop wolves and giving them the finger. Sad, so sad. Stupid bunny!
Golden check = cashiers check
Hurt feelings =emotional damage
R/treelaw please great vid btw
It quite honestly pisses me off that she still had to pay the clean-up fee to a douche who tried to scam her out of an additional $80 after she gave him a $35 tip. Honestly, Uber could have lost a customer (or more if she went public with said event). She also might be less trusting of other taxi drivers from any company. I wouldn't be surprised if she started taking before and after photos
His lawyer is Saul Goodman.😂😂
On the trespassing story... I'm pretty sure this story could have gone entirely different If It went down in a castle law state
so how did OP in the last one not talk to them since jan 22 but after he sent the letter to sue he said he talked to them and told them talk to my lawyer. but that was in february..... seems suspicious
rSlash... I just wanted you to know that I'm often in an indescribable (literally) amount of pain. After a while I need a break from it... The only thing I've found that distracts me (giving me that break) is your videos. Thank you! I wouldn't be here right now, if your videos hadn't been there. No joke. Not exaggerating at all.
I'm guessing that OP lawyer freind is the admin for r/legaladvice
So I think the first story is Chick-fil-A because Dame it they are so God Dame nice
7:00
Twelve miles? Look again, bud.
That last story is strange... OP sues them after not being paid by Feb 3, the company contacts him AFTER they get the letter of intent, then OP says he has not seen or heard from anyone at the company since Jan 22...
I thought January was before February...
as an scp-2662 once said, "you all need Jesus", no joke, young cathulu said it.
I would have told the cop that they were on my property STEALING those dirt bikes. No registration, no helmets, trespassing, getaway truck up the street....doesn't look good for entitled dad....
story 1- i can find more than 1 strike in that opening statement
Some people arent stupid they just dont want the cashier to get fired for ringing up items as cheaper ones.
There is no danger in cussing at someone who is a responsible gun owner. They won't shoot you.
$34K in SMALL claims court? Not buying that one.
The boss was tricked lol
I hate taxes, but this one sounds good!
holy shit, I've NEVER been this early. It's pathetic how excited I am lol
The guy in the first story probably works for Los Polos Hermanos
I probably would have been that person but nicely said that they were ring up the wrong thing. I have worked in retail before and I know you can be fired for this and I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone unless they are super rude.
I think the law he was talking about when he said hurt feelings is emotional distress
500$ for littering where I live it's from 1,000 to $5,000 for littering
I- no. Those things are freaking *dangerous.*
Damn I really thought my story would end up on this video
The Uber story with the switched car made me think that the original car was probably the one with the wet spot. Maybe the driver accidentally spilled something on his seat, and wanted someone to pay to clean it.
I'm amazed that some people actually tip $35usd while that's about the amount I make in 2 full shift days at work here in Mexico, and my job isn't bad payed, it's a lot more than the minimum wage
14:45 best part of the video lmfao
