Superlativa.Bighin Giulio Renzo. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Cutting this back really works for modern tastes, (though I missed the sword fight a bit). I super liked that Raymonda was sort of attracted to Abderam.. I liked that the White Lady was included, but she needs an introduction in the very beginning scene.. maybe as an honored statue, to make sense. I love the Russian version, but it seems so consumed with Raymonda's technique in multiple solos that it can make her feel cold. I like it when she is warmer. I also like a slightly more aggressive, out of control, Abderam. I want to feel that Raymonda is sort of tempted between wild sex, and maybe duty/propriety/nobility. I also think there has to be a bit of something that explains such a very Hungarian finale, probably in the excised fight scene.or maybe in the very beginning.
There was always a “decorative” aspect of Raymonda that prevented me from being completely won over by it. Those seven fussy, needlessly treacherous Raymonda solos would leave me particularly unmoved. I’m speaking of the Russian version.

Beautiful.
GRANDE IL ROYAL DANISH BALLET. BRAVI!
Trop beau j'adore❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bighin Giulio Renzo 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
This is the first entire ballet by the Royal Danish company that I have watched and what an excellent choice! Thankyou for sharing it! PS were they acknowledging someone special on our left at the end?

I loved How the 2nd act was changed. Nevertheless, the cuts and changes in the coreography made it less nice than my favourite version from the Bolshoi Theater...
what year is this recorded?
Il cast per favore ?
Oi
I love Nureyev raymonda production😍
This is not Nureyev. It is Nikolaj Hübbe after Petipa.
@@hk6970 most variations are Nureyev’s
@@catullo1983 Ok sorry. I thought Hübbe rechoreographed every variaton to be suitable to Danish style.I expected too much I guess.
@@catullo1983 No,most variations are M.Petipa`s!
@@galinaextesy2654 of course! But they’re the same variations modified by Nureyev

This is a very beautiful and elegant performance not realy the hungarian Raymonda set in th crusader time. The moorish spanish prince has to bee a mongolish kind, rich and powerfull Khan. It was dangerous saying no to a Khan in this times That is the interesting point in the story! Also different from Petipa or Nureevs Raymonda. I love to see the danish dancers and th e elegance und beauty of Bournonville style, but this last pdd is oi jeh! The music is hungarian, the piano imitates a zymbal, t he choreo is hungarian folkdance inspired and has to be now in elegant france 17 century. Why? The famous "White Lady" belongs into the middle age. Well she is there. Thats new nowhere else. I`m not realy happy with this.Raymonda
Nah, at least this one isn't as racist as the other one
@@theoriginalfreremarto9432 which other one is racist and how?

I’m sorry. I was expecting SO much more from the Royal Danish, but what we’ve got here looks like a very well funded regional company. Corps is sloppy, under-rehearsed. Right now, the new Dutch production is simply glorious.
Do you mean their current production of Raymonda is better? I’m planning to visit Copenhagen in the spring and wanted to see it, but if it’s similar to what’s shown in this video, I might skip it. This is the worst Raymonda performance I’ve seen, both live and online.
