Sneaky way of getting Nerf for Christmas ask for Socks
I know a player who used to run with a large duffel bag stuffed with socks.
I've also seen the only time I've ever seen anything I would call a sock "jam"; the human threw the sock at the zombie, and mid-air, the sock unraveled itself and came up short.

@@CaptainXavier its reached critical mass the beards are about to go supernova on each level causing mass beard destruction nigh unseen by any observer in any universe previous to or following this one. Also add another level that branches off kind of like the half floor in "Being John Malkovitch" we need a physics professor to explain what's going on here! Is anyone a scientist. Do they possibly have a beard rugged enough to save us. Who will save our lips from being cold and our cheeks from being chapped? Who I ask you?

Some of the most amazing players ive seen have been sock ninjas, one in particular i remember was HUUUGE (like 6'9" ish and lanky with baskeball player hands) who ran with a modified duffel bag that 'flowered' open when he flung it open and could palm like 7 or 8 socks in each hand.....he was glorious.....ive never seen a sock ninja hold back a horde single handedly until that game

@@MinervaMarigolds i wear a kilt on the daily. I have no pockets. On the other hand kilt hose are like the MEGA of socks.

4:30-4:54. Silly loadouts are forever encouraged by the way he demonstrates it.
That tears it... I need to add some foam brains to my loadout. Right now my "socks" are actually foam-latex LARP spell-packets shaped like wee green potion-bottles. Thematically appropriate for a Mad Science loadout, buuuuut it never hurts to diversify.
Also I love the idea of "See the brains? See the brains? GO GET THE BRAINS!"

I have a dog-ball launcher too. I got it specifically in case the stress ball got extra bonuses. I may or may not have purchased 100 stress balls for arrow making.

For an extra level of handicap cut a pool noodle into rings for ammo. Practically zero range so you have to chuck em in the air while retreating and hope they land on your pursuer

I just realised that a sock only round is basically the summer equivalent of a snowball fight, exept that you can't just make your ammo out of what has fallen from the sky the prevous night.
Chaylo in a Basket is quite possibly the most relatable thing I’ve seen in a while.
The most effective sock ninja I’ve ever seen only runs 3 socks and somehow picks them up after every throw. He could rebound them off zombies and catch them or pick them up off the ground with lightning speed. Always in the shadows always the fastest man on the battlefield. I only ever knew him as ‘chickens’

You have Like three people Holding it Up and charging at the enemy
If they're allowed fully foam throwing knives are pretty nice and, at least in my experience, are a lot easier to accurately throw than rounder projectiles.

On the topic of the sock bag, a video (maybe old drac video but dont quote me on that) exists on the internet of a sock ninja with one of those baby sling things filled with socks saving the day because he was able to hold several gallons of water (which was their objective) in the sling along with the socks. Might work well because of the ease of access as well as the flexibility compared to a bag.
Instructions unclear. I am now taking down the Yakuza with only bucket of socks.

Right? It is such a weird concept but it works so very very well.
Instead of duct tape wrap the socks with the fuzzy side of velcro and make ginormous velcro sock belts.(if allowed)

Ive been curious if small sling shots are allowed at these wars...And if you could just use whatever ammo you can find(of course youd have to practice firing elite and mega and rival ammo) but it might also let you fire socks.
Depends on the game. I did a video on the Pocket Shot that kinda illustrates the risk...the ability to fire non-Nerf ammo.

The simplest nerf melee weapon of all: the “sock flail” aka a sock balled up, stuffed inside another sock and swung around in the general direction of the nearest enemy. (Of course this is if you’re allowed melee weapons, AND you can get this past the the safety rules)

2:45 Body parts you say? I could cosplay as Cavity Sam from the board game, Operation, or the Heavy from the "Meet the Medic" Team Fortress 2 video and throw body parts at people!
It's always interesting seeing how different hosts manage their game rules. Our main HVZ here in Manitoba, everyone has a base set of hit points, zombies included, and the quality of your armour gives you bonus defence points. Your blaster design will net damage bonus per hit. We can use melee, but socks aren't allowed nor are "greandes" or rockets allowed to be reused. I doubt I'll make it to the states this year but next year would be sweet just to experience a diverse game type.
The variations in HvZ are amazing. Makes traveling to games tough because you are constantly having to relearn the rules but the base concepts are usually similar, it is just the details.
Could socks be used as amunition in medieveal slings? Loved this video. I used out of darts tutorial for making my socks.
You can also fire them out of the nerf dog tennis ball launcher to great effect ;)
Or slingshots? I feel a channel crossover in the making
The issue with a medieval sling is the mass. It might work. I used to be quite good at launching tennis balls from a sling.

If you want to learn the best way to prepare your socks without Duct tape, I suggest you check out any video on here about the Military Sock roll. It is how members of the armed forces are told to pack their socks to get maximum space.
I have literally tagged someone with a Lycanroc plushie. It was an Awfuls round where I was dual wielding a plush and a Secret Strike, but still.
I was thinking double bandoliers with the sharper side of hook and loop strapped to it and the hairy side wrapped around a sock so you can have many socks just strapped to your chest. Plus 5 intimidation towards zombies. I think that would also work well to incorporate like an underslung sock launcher on your battle rifle. You would just have to put magazines somewhere else like on your sides more.

As a proud sock ninja I recomend to atleast Carry something like a jolt or a shotgun triad and personaly i have An extra dump pouch with darts in it because I have learned hoe to throw darts pretty acurretly
rubber chicken ninja, rubber chickens ave ridicously good range and after a while are fairly accurate

I love the re-equip drop down for each different item. Also, not true about socks being silent. If you get a critical hit, or the other person gets a critical fail, crotch crits will probably make noise.
If you have to, just twist the sock and use it as a whip
Hmm what about also having an emergency foam throwing knife in a sheath strapped inside each of your sleeves which are connected to those string keychain extending things so you can throw it and then tug it back, or fully foam Yo-Yos with really long strings.
No mod in their right mind would allow that...

You could cover as much of your upper body and waist in velcro hooks and stick all of your socks on your body with no actual containers.
Hey captain, just a random question: do you maybe know where you can buy demolisher rockets? I have looked on nfstrike but i couldn't find any.
It appears that Nerf is no longer selling the reload packs so they are getting hard to find. Good news is tomorrow I will hopefully be filming a "How to make your own Demolisher Rockets" video!
Would LARP coreless throwing weapons be suitable for this kind of role as well? Theyre often weighted for flight n things (i mean more in a "would they work and not cause upset or injury" sense rather than in a "will they be allowed at xyz games")
No idea. Too many variables. Only way to know if they would be allowed is to take them to the mods and ask. I would assume if they are "LARP safe" they would probably be allowed.

It varies from game to game. Some list vortex as "basic" ammo like darts or Rival. Other listing as "special."

It occurs to me that socks might be the most expensive ammo type in all of nerf. Either that or I need to know where to get some cheaper socks.
What about the wrist bow?? True shinobi use bows so Why not use..? Quick pop up tags and the strength of the shot are personal.. Just carry like 6-8 whistler arrows to demoralize the target.. From 30yrds.
