That ALICE gear, especially the large ruck, is the reason why so many old grunts have wrecked backs. L5S1... right where that damned kidney pad hits.
That is basically the conclusion I’ve come to as well.
@samrussell0331 We used to lengthen our H-harness suspenders with paracord to get the pistol belt of the LBE riding right on your backside to be able to hump that ruck. It totally sucked.
Back in the last century, in my squads, we carried one poncho liner for every 2 men to cut down on butt pack space to live out of the LBE longer in warm weather. There were small non-issuel assault-pack sized ALICE packs from Korea with 3 outer pockets big enough for a 1QT canteen.
LBE with that small no-frame pack was a great set up... as great as it could be being built on that nylon pistol belt foundation.
@@brotherbrovet1881 I think you already saw in another video that I’ve got the Eberlestock Bandit to wear with LBE. I’ll probably get a slightly larger pack sometime.
@samrussell0331 I got a great deal on a Mystery Ranch 2-day assault pack. I got it in USFS Ranger Green so it's subdued without screaming "tactical". It's become my everywhere bag.
It's all needs based - duh. Combining chest rigs with belt and rucks is probably best for most folks,
If you’ve never done a patrolwith a belt kit, you’re missing out.
common sense dictates all depends on your situation does it not ?
Not everyone knows the pros and cons of all the options.

Yeah not legit ppl like you that buy stuff & love it, I'm talkin bout all those guys who get the stuff for free from the company to basically just do a positive product review & they lie & say "oh no, not sponsored, bought it all with my own $$".
Both 😂 three quick mags chest rig and lbe like crossfire dz lbe .... sf dudes talk a out primary and secondary so primary is those 4 ready mags 1 in rifle 3 on chest then your secondary is those 12 in your lbe then third line is pack so probably best to always be a student stay humble and most importantly trust in Jesus cause all this other stuff is temporary
@@NoahBranch503 yo, post a video about that set up
