It's nice. I like it. Butt way too pricey. Can buy everything from a h harness to belt canteens and covers and buttpack for the same price brand new. And just do a few mods to the buttpack and be very happy.
got issued two woobies so i took one home i don’t sleep with any other blankets, sometimes ill wake up thinking im in the field😭😭
Bro I think you need to see somebody about that. But I also sleep with my Woobie every night, including when traveling. It is an integral part of my life now.
As a Brit with perfectly good teeth. The water bottle pouch might be designed to just go on a belt rather than onto webbing (PLCE). The loops on the mag pouches are so you can run a bungee strap around the outside of the pouches to pull the webbing tight. The harness is called a yoke in the British military (don't know why, that's just what they call it). They later bought out a yoke designed to be worn under body armour
I gotta get my digs in where I can. Several of you guys have mentioned adding a bungee strap. I’ll need to do that.
I’d suggest looking into plce Bergen. By far the best pack we 🇬🇧 have came out with.
Better than the belt kits and windproof smocks?
The loops under the main belt are for a utility strap to stop it flopping about when running.
@@sean_mccormack the big loops on the pouches?

Their still important. Its sorta like a spear. If the rifles barrel length passes 24in. British had really good bayonet techniques, specifically designed to fight efficiently with it
I’m still not sure how useful a bayonet would be in modern combat, but the training is vitally important.
@samrussell0331 when you have no ammo. And need something to defend yourself. A sword length distance. Is much better, rather than knife distance
@ your rifle can still be used like a spear or club.
@@samrussell0331 yes british used combos, like buttstcok attack, buttsock again, then stab, 24in barrel is more akin to sword, and a bolt action rifle (ww2), if the barrel surpassed 25in. then yeah, it'll act more like a spear, the barrel length is important, shorter, can be used in close distance, carbine basically. Longer, a good tool for self defense, and the rifle has a longer barrel length, so it was designed for medium range. Spear's were so overpowered, for long, even in today. Which is the reason why humanity survived for so long. So a rifle, or shotgun, with a knife at the end, with the ability to be used a club, and spear. Its going to be more versatile. No ammo means it's useless, the stock would be good. But thats your only option. Bayonet adds defense, and more usage. Its your everything tool at that point
@ 11:37 is a gas mask pouch?
@FafaFlunky the tag says canteen pouch. I’d expect a gas mask pouch to be much larger.
Thank You😇
I had to try 13 times before YT let me see your video!
@@olpepaw4747 your dedication is commendable
@samrussell0331 I was just mostly curious about the British rig...but it really pissed me off they wouldn't let me watch it!! Lol ( yes I'm hard headed)
I justice commented about..but YT not letting men watch this video and my comment was erased almost immediately!!
Just ordered one from a British supplier. Cost me on the shipping, but I think it will be worth it. Note: IRR is Infra Red Rating.....I think. Been looking to get one of these for a while to try with some other gear. Will be interested to see what your experience is with it. Gonna try mine in conjunction with the Nezumi chest rig I got a while back.
@@markligon7992 I think wearing the Nezumi over the harness of the PLCE would probably work. I did a ruck this weekend with a different belt kit over a plate carrier. Worked great.
filmed in august?!?!
I had some technical difficulties
Bump helmets are definitely good for that, they might need a upgrade the internals just in case, don't want to get a strain in the neck from impacts and what-not.
@@G.W-01 I agree. It’s just the best thing I had available at the time.

When do you ruck and when do you get a lbh/lbv?
@@RaphaHey I don’t understand your question.
Technically each unit has its own little specialized job even though we often can be used for different reasons.. The Marines have to think there the best because they are often used as a dense , heavy combat assault force. Army has units that can do it also but not like the Marines ,,,, I will say tho they often can make the situation worse , which often leads to further battles that could of possibly been avoided. The Army and The Marines both clean those up the best they can.. Rangers are special operations really so there closer to Recon Marines ,,, the whole military is kinda fascinating, with all the different parts.. Armored Cavalry with Scouts and everything else can take shit over also.. Wanted to be a Marine but had a interesting background they didn't like to much lol.. Army was there tho and the Marines replaced us in 2004 Al Anbar area.. Shit we had the the Whole West of the country in the 3rd ACR cuz the Full Bird wanted a Star.. Ran countless missions into exhaustion ,he later got canned lol 😅

Former Mech infantry grunt here I used a british style PLCE/webbing kit with a few extra pouches on the back, and a slick PC. I just took the off when I got in the back or while I was crewing, and just threw it on when I got out. That allowed me to get further use and familiarity with just one kit, instead of having multiple different setups. It was just as quick as throwing on a backpack, but could also fit in more places and carry more stuff than one
What were you riding in? I feel like that wouldn’t be the best option for operating around cars, trucks, or humvees.
@@samrussell0331 Humvees and Bradleys. No matter the mission, we had to have at minimum MOPP gear in a bag with us, so it wasn't like I was the only one with a pack on my lab. Since I had a back panel and extra pouches all the stuff that would have been in my backpack (MOPP/CBRN gear, CW/WW, water/mres, links, etc), like everyone else carried, was able to fit in my webbing. Difference being, without the bulky shape I was able to stash it under my seat or in the rack behind me, and was still able to grab and go without slowing down the element.

I think the Kommando Store had some recently
Thank You Sam😇🇺🇸
Here's an argument to anyone who says bayonets are outdated. What are you gonna do if you run out of ammo? Yell at them?
Who’s got the biggest amphibious assault victory in the entire history of the United States. Omaha and Utah beaches on d day. The us army. Rangers. Who parachuted behind enemy lines on day. Into enemy territory. The army. Airborne baby. Where is Delta force. The deadliest force on the planet bar none. The us army. Don’t ever knock the sickest of the army They got them black ops bois. The rangers are also right now arguably the deadliest ground force battalion we’ve got. 75th ranger regiment is not to be fucked with.
Y’all never would have made it off the beach if Marines hadn’t already taken over the entire Pacific Ocean.
@ other side of the planet. Different campaign my dude.

@@AlowishusAbercrombie people normally hunt with solid copper hollow point .308. And you think m855 is excessive? You might find out how much m855 sucks at killing things quickly.

Fleece lined pockets are the bomb. As a younger man, I hated fleece anything to include my kids' baby blankets . As a middle-aged dude, I have come to love fleece for the lightweight warmth .
The fleece pockets are what sold me on this smock. I already had the DPM version from the 90’s. This one is a nice improvement.
have you inadvertently spooked deer with the velcro?
A little trick I thought of just now, stoned outta my mind, take like the opposite versions of Velcro on the pockets and sandwich magnets in there. So like if the flap has the male and the pocket has the female, use a male piece of Velcro to attach a magnet to the pocket and a female piece of Velcro to the flap. It blocks the Velcro and makes it a magnet closure.
@@FafaFlunky I don’t believe so. I’m trying to get away from Velcro.

Soooooo - Where do I get training Buddy?
Nice.
True the range with the 4 mags switching mags as fast as possible is not the most important training. it's just the most easy and cool in today's firearms movement . In America SHTF unless someone has taken your family member its not about room clearing smooth & fast assaults. (Not a bad skill to have) Thats the last scenario you need to be in. Probably not even defending your home but moving staying alive and fighting only when you have to. Like this gentleman says seek more training 😊
Well said. Thank you.
