- Our host Kix Bryant stumbles upon a 70's Case garden tractor mower deck for $150 dollars. The only catch is the abandoned John Deere tractor has to go with it. Can he get the John Deere to run and drive out of its grave and make it to the awaiting truck?

Thanks!
My John Deere Saber 2354 is 22 or 23 years old now, my paint in about the same spot started coming off 18 years ago.
Nice fix, change oil and give it a little love .
The next video we will be cleaning it and doing the maintenance to get it mowing ... If all goes well. Thanks for watching 😁
check that pushrods are on rockers , adjust valves , then check compression . might have blown head gasket .
Thanks for the tips, I'll have to look into that.
If the engine has too much oil in it can make it smoke. First thing I'd do is change the oil and filter if I has one. Sounds like it could be a good mower with a little work
Made Canada makes a seat cover for that too.
Great idea! I'll have to check on it. Thanks
That was a good junk haul for $150 Clams. Keep up the strong work!!
Thanks! Will do!
Change the oil and filter and it might just stop smoking if you are lucky. Bad oil can cause an engine to smoke sometimes.
I've seen that carburetor sell for 150/250 bucks
Wow I didn't realize how much they were, the funny thing is that wasn't the problem.
@@KixBryant obviously not, so this guy was just covering the cost of that carb, basically you got the rest for hauling it off.
Yah those 2 barrel carbs are expensive....3X the cost of the singles
Wow I guess so!
Gotta watch out for those John Deere with the 2 step 😆
😂
In my short labeled it all makes sense now I figure out how the hood got burnt 😁

Thanks, I hope you enjoy!
Love the background music :)
Thought I saw a little poof of smoke....nice find tho.
Run it
Yeah, it was running on 1 cylinder the other had no pushrod 😂 we fix it in the next video.
@@KixBryant that's a bit odd....they didn't fall down inside of the block?
I show it in the video when I remove the valve cover, it's just sitting there. But I couldn't find the broken piece and I even cut the oil filter and find no shavings?
@@KixBryant if they went inside...the cam should have been trashed...doesn't make sense for those to be missing....I'm scratching both ends now
Yeah I was perplexed too. But it was the intake pushrod which is aluminum, I think maybe the cleaned it out changed the oil and filter and gave up?
