  • We've looked at RP Toolz range before, including the standard punch & die & hexagonal punch & die. Both are excellent tools.
But what if you want to make rounded or conical rivets?
This is the "Rivets Maker" which allows you to make half-round rivets - something that's really useful for modelmakers & scratch builders alike - so check out the video to find out more.
Like the whole RP Toolz range, it's available from www.historexage....

May i ask , does the dome shape of the rivet is clear & easy to see compare to the flat nut version ?, i already got a flat nut version, but really on the fence about buying this or just the premade casting rivet

Yes discernibly more rounded. Here's a video we made on that tool including close ups of the conical rivets. ruclips.net/video/kDvX3D300Fw/видео.html

1500 views and only 1 comment? How is that possible?
I would love to see reviews of mini miter boxes. I've seen many offered, but the quality of cuts possible seems to vary based on reviews. Your take would be great. :)

Is it really cheaper to punch rivets from plasticard vs cutting them from styrene rod? Either way seems fiddly, though I've seen good trick of gluing longer rod and snipping it off to create the rivet.

Harry Chamberlain Hi - this way it's a bit more uniform that chopping styrene rod (unless you make a jig).

    That's ridiculous!
What have I gotten myself into?
It's too precise, now I want one.
    I should've been a Dentist🤔
I guess I'm paying for it now?

Great video, but please change your camera angle. Way too many shots of the back of your hand. Very annoying.
