- Here's an unboxing from www.scalewarmac... - the home of model making videos, articles & archive films.
We look at the RPToolz Punch & Die set for making circular rivets - available from www.historexage....
Adding rivet details is a simple way to build visual interest & extra detail into your scale models. This useful tool & its sister piece, the hexagonal punch & die, allows you to easily cover your productions in realistic rivets & bolts.
What to know more & find out how to use it? Then have a look at our video review.
Looks like a finely crafted tool, I will look into that.
Thank you for the information. I'll have to add this to my wish list!
Ive got the older historics punch and die sets which are good but this one does look a lot better.
Same, these are better and I rarely if ever use the Historex ones. These are higher spec' by far - though much more pricey.
@@scalewarmachines ya i will be getting these as my historex perspex part of the punch and dies are cracked,to be fair, I've had them for about 20 years ,
Btw i brought the handle maker from RP Toolz ,after i saw your review, much better than the plastic ones i got from china.
Keep up the good work
@@kevinbrum9940 Thanks Kevin - you won't regret it. They are lifetime tools. Thanks for supporting the channel!
very quality set !..I'm sure it's not cheap .. do you know of a source available to the U.S. ?
Not sure, check out the RPToolz website for dealers Stateside I guess. Sorry.
I have no idea what a plastic card is and it doesn't seem to exist in sheets like the video from searching on Google. Can you elaborate? Is it regular cardstock? Thick paper?
It's just plastic styrene sheet used by model makers for scratch building. Available in various thicknesses, colours and sizes. There are different manufacturers, perhaps the most well known is Plastruct (or see Evergreen also). We are using a white version similar to those seen here: plastruct.com/product-category/plain-and-patterned-sheet/
Thanks for the reply! Appreciate it!
Pla plate is what its name
