Would you like to see "Thundercats" make a comeback?
I wouldn't mind seeing this franchise make a comeback. Provided that it doesn't end on a cliffhanger like the last series did.

Loved watching this in the 80's..along with Super Friends..Spider Man and his Amazing Friends..Dungeons and Dragons..He-Man..Transformers..She-Ra..Jem and the Holograms..and so many more fun cartoons..I miss the 80's cartoon vibe
This is when I could not get enough cartoons and I still watch them to this day, with Brave Star, Paw Paw Bears, the real G Force guardians of the galactic, Tale Spin, Johnny Quest and so much more
In the past I would look forward to a ThunderCats movie. Now, I would dread it, since they'll just ruin it to spread "The Message".

I still have my Original ThunderCats action figures. I also have the DVDs that followed the cartoon decades later. The show ran from 1985-89. I'm trying to remember some of the ThunderCats names. Lion-O, Lynx-O, Jaga, Cheetara, Bengali, Panthro, etc. These were all the characters I will never forget and I know there are villains, as well.
A lot of people probably don't even know that in the Thundercat hierarchy, it was Tigra who was the second in command 🐅.

Nope, it was in the whole series as a whole. Lionel said it in a particular episode that tygra would be the new lord of the Thundercats in the case that something would happen to Lionel.
This is what makes tygra the second in command of the Thundercats.
We watched this every week because it was so cool and so you need to see these characters. How the heck? Could it be controversial? These mom groups screwed up a lot of stuff, I'm going to protect my child from all things negative even if they're only negative in my head kind of crap! A lot of people were pissed at at how powerful their voices were, so that made me think that somebody in a influential political appointment was listening to these busy bodies.
I will never count "Thundercats ROAR" as a part of the Thundercats property as it is a bastardization of the property as a whole. There is nothing redeeming about "Thundercats ROAR" and much like "Teen Titans Go" its a garbage show with idiotic humor to entertain those with low intelligence and low morals. IMO
This was a good segment. Hopefully, Adam Wingard's project is still alive and moving forward, despite my sense that his vision for them won't be something that totally connects with me. My prefs aren't important, I just want to see the franchise revived for a new generation of potential fans.

I'm 48 and still love watching this alongside the Transformers, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Voltron, the Silverhawks and the Real Ghostbusters.

We do not speak of Thundercats Roar. Even children didn't like it. That's how bad it was. The 2011 reboot actually wasn't that bad if I'm being honest.
I only remember most of the earlier episodes being shown on BBC TV when I was young, didn't realise it was ever cut.
Man I wished thundercats 2011 reboot would been revived and continuing and renewed new seasons just like revival of samurai jack young justice and Star Wars the clone wars 4:45 5:41
Im still salty about the remake series for thundercats and He-man from the mid 2000's? I believe thats when it was... idk, the one where they were essentially ninja's. I didnt like that snarf didnt talk however. Now the He-man remake from the same time was also well done and isk why they were so readily canceled.
Today's make-up and political affiliation of these type of fanatic activist groups may differ from those in the seventies and eighties, but one thing stayed the same: it's still about overly zealous drama queens rallying against BS

I really liked these shows when I was a kid now if only silverhawks and centurions got a reboot and a DVD relase of the classic series. Wonder what new animated series will come from all of these 80s gems?
My oldest son loved The Thundercats ... it was one of the few cartoons I allowed him to watch every day ... such a fun show
My favorite cartoon! And if it ever did make a “come back”(As it never left for me), I’d love the producers to keep the same animation style, or at least an older looking animation style.
I watched the show as a child but I don’t think I ever had any of the toys.
They switched the time slot to the am over the afternoons. They tanked this show altogether. But as we learn, all of this stuff is tied to toy sales.
I've never seen the original but I loved the 2011 reboot. This franchise is just one of many that deserved so much better: Fantastic Four, The Powerpuff Girls, Winx Club, The Fairy OddParents, DC in general and I can go on all day!

Season 1 is a Lil cheesy but it gets less so over time, its definitely a worth while watch

Only a fool will believe that Thundercats live action film won’t happen. OF COURSE it’s going to happen. And if it’s successful, they’re going to do what they do to everything else : make more & more sequels and ton of merchandise … They’ll milk it until it’s dry… Face it : The magic of the 80’s is long gone. Anyone remember all the excitement when Transformers was first announced in 2006 ? And what’s happened in the past 17 years ? It’s been bastardized. Nobody cares anymore. The industry milks everything dry.

You know some of these groups that said cartoons were too violent and just ads for toys. I think these are the type of people who just enjoyed trashing everyone’s childhood and that they had a right to so those guys should just stick it who cares what they think.

I loved watching the original Thundercats as a kid and wish wasn't canceled 😢 I admit I liked the 2011 series. As for Thundercats Roar, well....we don't talk about that one cause Mumm-ra created that version of our feline heroes to ruin their reputation as heroes. Darn you Mumm-ra!!!!

It told the truth of the lyran wars, that's why it's canceled. So they came of with the movie avatar, which is a mixture of the lyran war and the war of gaia (Terra, tiamat, earth, Kai). Universal law, is the truth must be told in a free will consciousness, or karmatic energy becomes abundant...

ACT has always been a worthless thorn to cartoons as early as the 1960s or so. They were so old fashioned that they just refuse to accept what a lot of kids want- all in the name of holier than thou attitudes of course.
