If a toy company decides to make fully articulated figures of Swat Kats, it’s gonna be all over for me. This for me is on the same nostalgia level as TMNT.
Obviously there’s some interest out there for Swat Kats figures. I tried to refresh myself with the villains of this series and I want them all made but on the top of my list would be Past master, Metallikats, Hard Drive and Dr Viper. I obviously want T-bone and Razor with ther Jet and bike.
They really need to bring this series back I liked it a lot and it has room to grow with more villans and having the general’s neace and maybe the mayor’s secretary somehow learning the swat kats identities and their backstory. Another way they could bring the series back is with a movie like what the transformers are doing with the classic animation giving longtime fans the look they love and drawing in new fans.
It's good to see a recap but it has some omissions/mistakes: Red Lynx was defeated by Major Manx launching a missile fired from Swat Kats' bike. The whole problem with Red Lynx was that he was a ghost and could not be killed nor stopped in any regular manner. Only a defeat from a descendant of Blue Manx (the Major) could stop him permanently. In the aftermath of Metallicats and Swat Kats battle using the Macrobots, the Metallikats begged Feral to spare them in exchange for learning Swat Kat's identities. He refused the deal as he "Does not deal with scum" and deactivated them. This showed a huge amount of integrity in an otherwise negatively portrayed Commander and perhaps a sign of character growth compared to his past self who was more focused on chasing glory rather than seeing the bigger picture.

Why did the good cartoons get so few seasons? They never finished the pirates of dark water either, the found half of the treasures put them on the lighthouse windows and then promised to find the rest...then the series started over.

If you said it felt like 80's, then it is. Think about the series of Airwolf. The premises is the ex-military turned into vigilant heroes to save the world. Using the most high-end tech military aircraft and they're capable of making the impossible become possible. But make them feeline. 😺
I have never seen even so much as a suggestion that Razor is the leader. Although I naturally assumed T-Bone to be the _de facto_ leader (probably because he had more direct and personal beef with Feral, looked like the most default design, and was the one who actually flew the plane), neither of the SWAT Kats is explicitly stated in the show to be in charge of the other, as far as I know.
This video has a number of inconsistencies; calling Razor the team leader and identifying Feral as "General" rather than "Commander" (and also misspelling his name) are just some of them.
This was a blueprint on how shows and handdrawn animation should look like... Compared to modern day " animation ", this was a true gem to experience..!

I remember painting my GI Joe sky Stryker jet back and red ( Badly), I had also recorded the intro theme onto a casette and would play it repeatedly. To say that I was a tad obsessed with the Swat Kats would be an understatement..
Quick correction. There were actually 26 episodes! The show stopped airing after episode 23, but three more episodes existed and are readily available on the internet. The finale ends with dark cat escaping, so i think a season 3 was in the works
Ah man. Back in the day in South Africa in the early 90's this show was everything I never got to see the whole thing. This wrap up is everything. Like almost 30 years of waiting. I've had the series since but could never complete it.
I was born in '91. I grew up watching this. I also played a lot of videogames, during that decade I played a lot of game on the Amiga and the Megadrive. I love games involving aircraft or spacecraft. I loved the Strike games, my brother really enjoyed Frontier: Elite 2. I liked Freelancer, although I couldn't really understand the whole game. I had tried the first X game earlier, but I never told him about it, I was too dumb to understand the games he liked.
Freelancer is a GEM, you gotta pay attention to the story. Born in 86', behind the Iron Curtain. LOOOOVED the Cartoon Network of the 90's. It taught me English and gave me many hours of joy.
This was probably the first cartoon on tv that I recall characters, although minor, actually dying (and staying dead). There were likely others that came before it, but for me, it started a generation of toons who weren't afraid to hold back on that kind of thing.

That was the favourite part of my day, I rushed home from school, went over to my grandmother's place cause we didn't have cable at ours and sat in front of their tv exactly at 4 pm IST when the show used to air on cartoon network. Those were precious times, when CN was at its full glory.

They do love each other so much that Mac isn't going to be a food processor forever. They argue a lot, but even Mac and Molly know arguments are meaningless.
When I found the SNES ROM, I tried it and felt let down. My favorite part of the last episode was when the Metalikats told Feral that they knew the Swat Kats secret identity. They begged Feral to let them live. The Swat Kats were terrified by this. Feral shot the Metalikats and destroyed them. He said "I don't deal with scum." I thought that was a great ending. The bad guys had a tool for negotiation. Feral may have rejected it out of a sense of absolute justice. However, he may have rejected it because the Metalikats were criminals. It is wise to never trust a known criminal for anything. How would anyone know those criminals were telling the truth?
One of my favourite shows from my childhood. Hard to recall why, probably as it was totally different then anything at the time. When Razor almost died in one of the episodes, the memories 😂
In india it's hindi version was used to telecast with the title " Bahadur Bille", me being a 90's kid this show, johny Quest & tom & Jerry were my favourite........

It was a great show that was released at the wrong time. I think they should partner with a japanese plastic model kit company and make licensed models of the turbokat. I think it may help with revenue, so that they could bring Swat Kats back. That's how Gundam was saved, model kits.
This show had the most badass concept, original character names, Coop from Megas XLR would've loved hanging out with these guys. Two of my favorite nostalgia gems next to TMNT 2003
I'd say I'd love another season or a movie of this series. But seeing what has become of all the other classics that have been destroyed by reboots and remasters, I'm glad it ended on the high note it did.
You forgot to add the episode of Hard Drive allying with dark cat stealing turbocat and framing swat kats' name by looting money. Edit: some few episodes to be added - Chaos in crystal, Razor's Edge, Bride of the Pastmaster, Deadly Pyramid, etc.

Swat Kats is certainly in my top three favourite cartoons of the 90s. After all, it mixes three of my favourite things - rock music, fighter jets and cute catgirls - with a skill that even anime struggles to match!

The Scooby Doo movie Zombie Island toke a script from Swat Katz for it´s plot. That´s why it had cat people in it.
Funny enough, Glenn Leopold who was the screenwriter of Zombie Island and Scooby Doo since 1979, was also the writer of Swat Kats.

When I found the SNES ROM, I tried it and felt let down.
My favorite part of the last episode was when the Metalikats told Feral that they knew the Swat Kats secret identity. They begged Feral to let them live. The Swat Kats were terrified by this. Feral shot the Metalikats and destroyed them. He said "I don't deal with scum."
I thought that was a great ending. The bad guys had a tool for negotiation. Feral may have rejected it out of a sense of absolute justice. However, he may have rejected it because the Metalikats were criminals. It is wise to never trust a known criminal for anything. How would anyone know those criminals were telling the truth?
This show is awesome. The art and charcter designs are peak 90s. I used to love drawing the swat kats.
One of my favourite shows from my childhood. Hard to recall why, probably as it was totally different then anything at the time. When Razor almost died in one of the episodes, the memories 😂

In india it's hindi version was used to telecast with the title " Bahadur Bille", me being a 90's kid this show, johny Quest & tom & Jerry were my favourite........

It was a great show that was released at the wrong time.
I think they should partner with a japanese plastic model kit company and make licensed models of the turbokat. I think it may help with revenue, so that they could bring Swat Kats back. That's how Gundam was saved, model kits.

I'd say I'd love another season or a movie of this series. But seeing what has become of all the other classics that have been destroyed by reboots and remasters, I'm glad it ended on the high note it did.

Swat Kats is certainly in my top three favourite cartoons of the 90s. After all, it mixes three of my favourite things - rock music, fighter jets and cute catgirls - with a skill that even anime struggles to match!
Quick correction: The building they destroyed that resulted in their release from the enforcers was Enforcers Head Quarters. Hence why Feral had the authority to force them to pay for the repairs

Bro , you forgot the episode when a scientist has made a helpful robot and in the beginning swat cats denied to take him with them but eventually they created bond with him to defeat th Mummy Vilian and gets destroyed in the battle, However the scientist again made another copy of the robot but this time huge one and that ende the episode 😢😢😢😢
