He said, “I care about you and your business, you don’t have to stay, but if you want to, but only if you want to” you don’t get more clear than that
Only for Blitz to sabatoge himself and shut the whole thing down with his nonsense. Which to anyone who doesn’t know how deep Blitz’s personal issues run just looks insulting
(Blitz has never properly communicated these issue to Stolas so Stolas had no way of knowing)

That final scene was honestly SO painful because it showed their biggest problems.
Stolas while genuine in his feelings, unintentionally controls the conversation and automatically assumes what Blitzø is thinking while not actually ASKING what he wants, and Blitzø doing everything that he can to completely ignore any real conversation about their issues to avoid getting hurt, and completely lashing out when he can't.
This results in Stolas thinking that his first friend and love only saw him as a privileged prince despite all his efforts to show him that he always saw them as equals, and Blitzø once again adding another person to the list of people who he genuinely loves but pushed away because he was too afraid to show it, right as he was finally allowing himself to be vulnerable.
You know they're eventually going to make up, but it's definitely going to take them both jumping through A LOT of hurdles before their relationship can even remotely become a healthy one.

I'm honestly flabbergasted how many people interpret Blitz's yelling in that scene as 'trying to communicate' or 'offering an olive branch' like here.
I don't know how many people have actually been at the receiving end of a lashing like that, but that was *not* what I got from that outburst. That was the kind of yelling that was _inviting vitriol back._ That was *absolutely* Blitz trying to make Stolas yell at him back, to force an argument to happen.
Maybe it's because he thinks it's what he deserves, maybe because he doesn't come from a background where peacefully talking things out bears fruit, but either way BOY WAS IT NOT IN ANY WAY A GOOD THING.
I think Blitz was 100% expecting them to verbally fight it out, but we know from the rest of the show with Stolas' life with Stella that yelling and fighting back is _not_ something Stolas does without an immense amount of forethought and effort and going against his instincts. I think it then also makes 100% sense that Stolas' first instinct was to remove Blitz from the situation. He didn't want to yell at Blitz, and he didn't want Blitz yelling at him.
It didn't makes the situation _better,_ but it makes complete sense for where he's at.

There is a difference though, between something being good and something making sense. I could totally see where Blitz was coming from and I'm mostly on his side in this altercation. However, if somebody came on to me like that, my first instinct would also be to protect myself. In my case, that would probably be shouting back or at least loudly demanding the other person to either calm down or leave. The problem that you correctly identified though is that Stolas fight on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, which is not at all.
If one side keeps retreating and the other keeps attacking, that's a problem.
But there was a break. After Blitz has said his piece he waited for a reaction from Stolas. Stolas reacted (with that sentence that made everybody cry). And rather than start venting again, Blitz moved in to comfort Stolas because he saw that Stolas was no longr angry but sad.
Also: Blitz's tirade only started after Stolas let him run into every open knife emotionally, then dumped the love confession on him, and left without hearing him out. He decided how this whole scenario went, how much information was being given and when/how it ended. Blitz was just along for the ride, trying to keep up (signified by his running after Stolas).

I was at some point of my life in that receiving part and I reacted pretty similar honestly, I don't really blame Stolas for transporting Blitzø out, I mean, of course both of them have a lot of things they did wrong in this conversation and in their relationship, and they definitely have to talk it out, but to be honest, they probably need some time, trauma doesn't let you react the way you'll want all the time and that's exactly what happen here to both of them, the power coercion is something that existed in their relationship till now, even if Blitzø used Stolas first, Stolas had the power to end Blitzø's business and life if he wanted, he corrected this by giving him the crystal, but an apology is 100% necessary here, for that and the covering his face situation, the same goes to Blitzø, he decided to not see him for months, he does not what to communicate properly, and when he decided to actually communicate he did it so poorly it triggered Stolas, they have to actually sit and talk about how they felt and WHY they felt like that, what relationship it had with their trauma and actually find a way to work it out or just finally leave it there and keep going in separate ways

I’ve seen a few people saying that Stolas dumping his feelings on Blitz with no time for him to think was bad of him. But I personally don’t agree that this is the case.
They’ve been suggesting for a while that Stolas has been trying to explain to Blitz he wants more than just a physical relationship; like after the fallout of their ‘date’ at Oz’s and after Stolas gets kidnapped by Striker. But because Stolas has no idea how to communicate with Blitz he’s been backing down or giving him an out each time because he didn’t want to force Blitz out of his comfort zone; which I think is why they haven’t met up for a few months like Blitz says.
Blitz even outright says he’s been avoiding talking to Stolas in the song when he says he’s been “avoiding his questions”. Both Blitz and Stolas acknowledge that there is something wrong with their current relationship; Stolas decides to try and talk to Blitz but Blitz initially tries to avoid acknowledging it with sex.
So it’s implied Stolas has been trying to have this heavy conversation with Blitz for a while but Blitz keeps avoiding it. For me it makes sense Stolas assumes Blitz doesn’t care when he thinks Stolas is joking; after he’s been avoiding him for so long, even going as far as not replying to Stolas’ request to see him when he was in hospital.
If you give someone an option to not see you and they choose to take that every single time then you would assume they don’t like you, even without the self worth issues Stolas has.

I definitely agree. I'm a casual watcher and fan (and seeing the Fandom escalate so hard after this episode reinforces to me again WHY) and in my opinion it is absurd to say that "Stolas never tried communicating to Blitz that he wants more than Sex" because ever since Ozzie's, Stolas is doing 90% of the communication in this ship. It actually started annoying me by now that Stolas is over and over again the only one communicating because the show barely develops their badly clashing trauma response, it only constantly adds explanation and elaboration on WHY their traumatized while simultaneously adding more and more negative outcomes from their clashing trauma responses.
I understand and sympathize with both Blitz and Stolas in Full Moon because what happened was absolutely predictable because that's all the show ever does with them.
The biggest development that happened was Stolas kicking Blitz out by the end because Stolas learned through standing up to Stella to lash back when being screamed at and being insulted by wanting said person out of his home.
Like, by all means, I'm still desperately waiting for any kind of actual development for BLITZ in Stoliz. He wasn't developed much in any major way regarding how he handles his trauma and that's all I can see in Full Moon, even if I perfectly understand where he's coming from and why he feels the way he does.
I'm just so annoyed that the show always does the same thing over and over again with these two, just always on a bigger scale which heavily divides the Fandom in damaging ways :/

@@CatalinaLinal7710 I agree Stolas has had a lot more character development in regards to their relationship. I’ve seen a lot of people keep saying Stolas is to blame for making the relationship just about sex; but this hasn’t actually been the case for a while.
Since at least Ozzie’s Stolas has shown he wants this to be a real relationship; he was ecstatic at the idea of going on a real date with Blitz, while Blitz just ignored him to stalk M&M. Yes Stolas hurt Blitz in this episode by not defending him when Oz called out the relationship but Biltz was was completely dismissive of him until that point. And when Stolas is hospitalised he asks Blitz to visit him, in a situation that is obviously nothing to do with sex, but Blitz doesn’t reply.
I think it’s also very interesting to consider that in Full Moon both Blitz and Stolas acknowledge something is wrong with their relationship during the opening song. But Blitz is the one who spends the whole song and episode trying to use sex to brush over the issue.
At the beginning of the show Stolas did make it very sexual every time he interacted with Blitz; but as they then showed up in the flashback to the start of their relationship he was trying to match the energy Blitz started. They’ve shown Stolas has actually been trying to redirect the relationship away from just being physical for a while but Blitz has chosen to not take notice wanting to keep the status quo despite it not working for them. They both have issues that cause them to self sabotage the relationship but Stolas did try to change the boundaries of the relationship to make it better while Blitz has tried to avoid the elephant in the room by redirecting it back to just sex

@@Halfbad-bf1lt Gosh, the beginning song. It's very well done but so frustrating because of the repetitive nature of their dynamic.
I was SO unbelievably relieved that we finally got Blitz singing again. Musical numbers are one of the most effective ways to flesh out your characters and it's insane that Stolas (and Fizz for that matter) gets so many songs but Blitz gets hardly anything and even that is wasted to a degree on unnecessary comedy.
"When I see him" shows that perfectly. I love Blitz' first verse because it is entirely used the way it should be: to inform us about his feelings, actions, behavior, what he thinks, and how his pov is supposed to be read. Perfect. I love it so much!
Then in the middle part, the problem creeps in but isn't a problem yet. Blitz may be saying things that by themselves don't give us any information anymore, but they heavily clash with his strong mannerism, mimic, and the harsh tone of the segment which turns the non-informative lyrics on their head to still be able to convey alot of information about Blitz, even if it's already LESS than before.
But afterwards? Man... Everything from "Can't wait to lose ourselves in nasty sex" basically looses all meaning while Stolas get informative lines til the very end.
I know "It depicts how Blitz' verbal copying mechanism works!" blah blah blah. My dude, I don't CARE. Blitz is the main character, let that man TALK for fucks sake! This show cannot afford wasting so much of Blitz' on-screen communication on comedy and depicting such harsh trauma mechanisms that basically leaves your main character voiceless to a solid portion of the viewers, especially when the show hardly ever DOES anything with it.
Regarding their communication development (in-universe and as narrative tools) it's only Stolas who feels right at this late point of season 2. Blitz in Stoliz on the other hand feels like he's stuck at the end of what a well-paced season 1 would have been.

    • @TheJezebeI
      @TheJezebeI 4 месяца назад +11

The problem with this is their entire set-up and how it's so based in pretense.
Let me take you on a little journey to my pen and paper days. We've had multiple occasions that went something like this:
      Player 1: "Actually, I'm a bit hungry."
Game Master: "Ok. Roll for survival skills to see what [Character's name] can find in your vicinity."
Player 1: "No, I mean that I, [Player's name] am hungry. Can we take a break and order pizza?"
We all laughed, Pizza was ordered and a good rest of the evening was had.
But what I just described is essentially the entire problem between Stolas and Blitz: a lack of boundaries in their interaction.
Essentially, everything was part of their sex scenario from the word go, and they never took a break from that. It started with Blitz using sex to distract from his true purpose (stealing) and Stolas leaning into it way too hard.
It then continues with Stolas constantly intruding sexually into clearly inappropriate situations: At the office, when Blitz is out on a hit (and running for his life!), during a bodyguard gig, at the Harvest Moon festival and even when they are trying to find Stolas' daughter in LA.
Blitz tries to shut this down on numerous occasions, with Stolas not taking him seriously, thinking it's part of their scenario/dynamic.
So how is Blitz to know that THIS time Stolas is serious and not just hitting the ground running on a more emotional scenario? Hell, even making him beg (and cry) for the book in the beginning, only to then drop a love-bomb could be read as a sexual power play of denial and reward.
Same with Ozzie's - since none of them really tipped their hand on how devastating this was for them (Stolas even waving it off via text later as "Oh Asmodeus, he thinks he's so funny, I hope it didn't bother you." and Blitz matching that indifference so as not to appear as the "weak one"), the whole thing could just be a "Let's pretend we're on an actual date"-scenario, with the other people as a wildcard ruining THAT and thus the evening.
This is the reason why clear communication of "Ok, I'm serious now, this is not in-game - I am actually hungry/tired/hurt" is so important, especially when kinky practices are involved. Savewords and colour charts exist for a reason, and Stolas and Blitz never seemed to have developed such a communiation system - otherwise Stolas would have effectively and efficiently shut Blitz down during his sex shop haul.
Yes, a normal person would have eventually figured out that this is not fun and games anymore, but this is Blitz Buckzo we're talking about. The man who made avoiding complications his entire personality. And he DID figure it out eventually and completely changed tack after that.

He’s frustrated and blindsided and hurt, rightfully so. Just like Verosika was when he bailed and stole her money.
So now he’s forced to confront his own pattern of behavior, finally seeing how bitter his own medicine is.

As it stands now, Blitz has to have the capacity to want to change, but we don't know if Stolas even heard anything Blitz said to him.
Stolas either heard all the stuff Blitz said about him treating Blitz like an "impish little play thing", and was just to triggered at the moment to react to it, or he diddn't hear (or chose to ignore) it and focus on "how low" Blitz thinks of him.

He didn't really have any time to genuinely think about it and their relationship up to that point was just transactional, for the most part. Blitzo was of course using denial as a coping mechanism the whole time which fed into his course of action.

      Well…
      1. Don’t start off the conversation by saying I’ll be taking the book back permanently. That put Blitz on edge real fast. So much so he started begging Stolas to not lose his livelihood.
      2. When Blitz didn’t realize the confession was for real and eventually asked to confirm that Stolas was being for real, Stolas immediately decided that was the answer he was looking for and decided not to continue talking anymore. Man took over how the conversation went (and Blitz’ choice when he decided for Blitz what was an answer and what was not.)
      3. Not expect it to go like a romantic fairytale where it can get resolved real quick and people know what they want and be able to express it properly when they need to. He knew his audience so he shouldn’t expect the emotionally constipates Blitz to be able to be vulnerable off rip and give him an answer right then and there. Blitz needed time to think and process something he felt came out of nowhere (as Blitz even stated in the episode). Yeah Blitz shouldn’t have been so mocking but Stolas shouldn’t have walked away and refused to listen to Blitz once he realized it wasn’t roleplay.
The guy who runs away from his problems, when given the crystal and already informed on what it does, had the first instinct to say I can do better; running after Stolas when he leaves the room and basically tells him to turn around, stop trying to dismiss him, and continue the conversation.
Also, the “I’m hurt your first instinct was that it was about sex” lines. Who proposed the arrangement and started trying to seduce who over the phone when the other was clearly in distress (being chased in e woods by someone trying to kill him)? Who brought who over to Loo Loo Land just to ogle them? Who asked for something in return after saving the other AND called them a plaything right before?
Blitz had many examples he could have given to be like “uh this is why and you’re a hypocrite for walking away because of that.”
Blitz messed up massively with the mocking and escalation but you can’t look at Stolas and be like “there was nothing he could have done better”.

@@chetarisin3035 Yeah, I definitely feel like if things are going the way I think they are in 'apology tour', that for them to move forward any apologies can't just be one-sided. Stolas needs to acknowledge how he may have played off of Blitz's insecurities, if even unintentionally, and how in his own emotional outburst he wanted to be listened to, but basically refused to listen to Blitz's side.
Stolas makes assumption about Blitz's attitude as one that holds Stolas in low regard because Stolas holds himself in low regard. Blitz likely holds Stolas in impossibly high regard, thinking that Stolas is essentially untouchable, and only recently even found out that he can actually be hurt.
Even if you don't hate yourself, can you imagine how hard it must be to contemplate such a being having honest, romantic feelings for you? Blitz's own feelings of unworthiness, and the past of their relationship largely just being about sex, it's no wonder that that is what he fell back on in his first instinct rather than trusting that Stolas' confession was honest.
There was hypocrisy in Stolas not immediately getting the answer he wanted, and kind of putting Blitz on the spot, only to avoid listening to the rebuttals and then pushing Blitz away and being just as dismissive as Blitz accused him of being in the end.
I like a little phrase, "you have two ears and one mouth. Listen twice before speaking once."
They need to truly listen to and acknowledge each-other. If things go to "Oh, stolas, I'm sorry about how I acted, and I want you to know... I do care." and just "Oh Blitzy, I'm so happy to hear you say that!", it wouldn't truly acknowledge both sides and the feelings that cause the underlying issues.

I've gotta say that I'm Team Stolas here. I see all of the comments saying he didn't give Blitzo any indication things weren't about sex, but the signs were popping up mid-season one. Harvest Moon he invites Blitzo and his employees to the festival with no expectation of sex, he comes to Blitzo's rescue in Truth Seeker (where Blitzo turns things to sex), he tries to have a nice date at Ozzie's (not realizing Blitzo is just using him again), and after everything he does try multiple times to at least start a conversation but gets shut down. Then he starts giving Blitzo an out, which Blitzo clearly took every single time.
It's hard to indicate something to someone who has serious issues, especially when you also have serious issues. Stolas should have given him time to process, but Blitzo also shouldn't have avoided the issues for several months...or lied about why he was avoiding him.

    • @kaileychambers6969
      @kaileychambers6969 4 месяца назад +16

I gotta disagree with you on the points about the harvest moon and truth seekers. Although he does invite Blitz to the festival without making it a sex thing, he keeps using the demeaning petnames for Blitz constantly. Blitz has good reason to not see that as any indication of genuine feelings. As for truth seekers, stolas literally asks something to the effect of "Am I going to get any thank you for the rescue" which prompts Blitz to initiate sex, and Stolas accepting makes it clear that's what he wanted. Also keep in mind that while at Ozzie's although Stolas was acting more romantically interested, he did seriously reject the idea of being seen with Blitz when called out. That kind of rejection would definitely contribute to why Blitz feels that Stolas couldnt possibly love him, especially with his issues. I get why you would take Stolas's side, but you're blatantly ignoring his actions. They're both seriously wrong in how they handled the situation.

    • @FullMoonDeria
      @FullMoonDeria 4 месяца назад +8

@@kaileychambers6969 I disagree with the demeaning part of the pet names, at least intentionally. I'd wager that Stolas thought it was romantic pet names, because he literally dials it back following Harvest Moon after Blitzo insists on using his name right. And intent does matter. As for Truth Seekers, we literally don't know what Stolas was asking for so him accepting Blitzo's offer literally doesn't mean anything no matter how Blitzo took it. And one of the things no one seems to take into account is the added pressure at Ozzie's of being confronted by images of his daughter while also being in a state where he was questioning his decision to pursue Blitzo...which Blitzo admittedly didn't know but we as the audience do.
But following that Blitxo denied Stolas any chance to clear things up and explain himself, took every out that Stolas gave him because he'd rather keep things simple, Stolas would be dead with Blitzo being his last thought if Stella hadn't been convinced to call Striker off, and then Blitzo didn't even visit him once after that while sticking to his "Stolas doesn't actually care"" mindset. Then in Full Moon his first instinct when Stolas mentioned it was time to give the book back was to lie about being busy, which Stolas likely doesn't know but we do. And his first instinct after Stolas confessed wasn't to need a minute, it was to reject the idea that Stolas was serious and instigate a roleplay and then to get mad when Stolas took that as his answer and lash out at him. They may both be wrong, but just the fact that Stolas has been trying puts Blitzo way more in the wrong for me. But agreed they are both in the wrong.

It's gonna feel sudden when the guy yu've been refusing to talk to wants to have an actual conversation.
And he was pretty quiet during blitzo's tirade so clearly that WAS the moment to let him take it in...and what does blitzo do? instead trying to actually think and talk things out or absorb anything, he DOESN'T do that. No does he offer any olive branches.
instead Blitzo LASHES OUT. He berates stolas for wanting to cut things off, to make the relaitonship mroe serious. Hell Stolas wans't breakign up with him, he only took away blitzo's excuse to be with him. But Blitzo's first response after unintentionally mocking stolas' feelings is to SHOUT at him, to scream and insult him, offering nothing but hostility.
Blitzo's anger comes from a place of fear, because a serious relaitonship is scary to him. Without the book he has to actually face his feelings for stolas, and rather than do that he tries to act like stolas is somehow wronging him for taking the book away. Which jsut leads to him saying things that confirms Stolas' fears, that blitzo never respected him let alone loved him, only slept with him for the book.
its also theorised that Blitzo acting so hostile was reminisent of stella, and its possible that stolas didn't want to see the man he loved act like the woman who made his life hell, resulting in him suddenly casting Blitzo out. But that's just a theory

I am not really sure if cherubs have powers and if they do, not sure if they can create portals. They were told on earth that they were banished from heaven so maybe at that point, that couldn’t create a portal to bring themselves to hell and thought they were stuck on earth?
Idk it’s weird for sure but ultimately it’s a question of whether they knew they had powers to make a portal or not.
could also be that they just simply didn’t want to go to hell and decided amongst themselves to stay on earth?
      just my thoughts 😅

he took the confession as a joke because of how his trauma shaped him to believe it was a joke. and at the same time you can't expect him not to think stolas was serious when his entire life he was hated for causing nothing but pain for the ones he had relationships with, losing the only person to show him affection unconditionally (his mom) and believing someone with a higher status would truly choose an imp than any one else, even hell hounds get more praise than that. stolas has his rights to be upset but it seems like most people forget blitz also has a reason to think someone like stolas wouldn't truly love him even with his advances to prove otherwise. trauma affects people differently and generally I've seen people ignore that and assume he straight up doesn't care for stolas even when moxxie confirms he pushes people away in FEAR of losing them yet he craves the affection he's pushing away. and in the latest episode where blitz speaks before thinking on how it would affect stolas it was clear he was regretful. they both were. now just to remind, both are valid for what their trauma has forced them to see the other as but people dumb the situation down so much to where it seems like blitz has no reason to be upset when he does. it isn't okay for what blitz did but his trauma is never brought up like stolas . stolas not being able to grasp on why blitz feels what he feels isn't his fault but is blissfully ignorant when others point it out (Asmodeus) and the fact he got EMBARASSED when it was pointed out by him.

I’ll admit that when I first watched this episode I was so desperate to be 100% on Stolas’ side because he’s my favorite character. But I feel like the HB fandom tends to forget that Blitzø and Stolas are way more similar than we realize - the biggest difference is that Blitzø pushes and over reacts when it’s reciprocated while Stolas pulls and over reacts when it’s resisted.
Stolas did a good job at first. Maybe he could’ve done some things different but he was really good at explaining his feelings. But then Blitzø pulled away like he always does. So Stolas over reacted to the resistance and tried to run away, which triggered Blitzø’s over reaction, the fault doesn’t solely lie in either of them - I don’t even know if I’d say it lies more in one than the other. The issue lies in the fact that neither of them know how to communicate with the other unless they’re using some sort of script they plan beforehand.

This might be one of the best episodes of the whole show. I like seeing the CHERUBS and the DHORKS agents working together and how they work together despite being relatively naive. That moment between Stolas and Blitz is truly one of the best scenes of the show and brutal with how real it felt. Stolas having true caring feelings for Blitz yet realising that he's outgrown the lustful desire of their relationship and in his time of self reflection he's come to realise Blitz doesn't care about him in the same way. What's even more real is how Blitz processed the "break up" as Blitz deep down inside does care about Stolas but he can't express that love and ever since he's constantly felt like burden to others he loved thus his mind goes into an impulsive defensive state where he thinks all he needs is sex and lust with Stolas when he truly wants more than that and in a way the sex with Stolas was closet thing hes had to an intimate emotional relationship in years. Damn the writing in this episode was great 👍

stolas actually told blitz what their relationship was going to be in episode 1. "You bring the book to me every full moon followed by a night of personification". To blitz it just seems like a transaction stolas even alludes to that fact as well in the new episode in their conversation. We as an audience know that stolas has these feelings towards blitz but other than episode 1 they have not sat down and talked about being in an actual relationship. The flirting just comes along with the package. To blitz it feels as though stolas just threw this at him and thus his response thinking it's a role playing cause that's all they've done. Stolas doesn't even give blitz time to process before walking out on blitz. Even as blitz tries to talk to him (which he spoke no lies in that speach) stolas only hears what he wants and instead of talking and giving him that choice like he sung about. He shoves blitz out. I am completely on blitz side and I believe stolas is a hypocrite because of one line " and for you to think this was all about sex". The relationship WAS about sex in his own words you can't fault blitz for stolas's miscommunication.

During the line “you sold up life for a thrust, now that’s the spirit of lust” Stolas HID basically rejecting Blitz (in his eyes) and saying all that’s between is lust. Personally if I was publicly humiliated and my date (intentionally or not) joined in, I would withdraw too. I also would want to avoid talking about that as well. In Blitz’s case, that’s the equivalent of his Boss. If he upsets him in any way that could be the end of his business. He made light his relationship with Blitz, calling him a plaything and holding his status over him (unintentionally). When kidnapped by striker, he made light the situation AGAIN and made it seem like the situation wasn’t dire. His Texts made excuses for his behavior and made light the severity of that night. Blitz isn't wrong about Stolas. Throughout season 1 Stolas treated Blitz very poorly if not intentionally. When he rescued them from the agents there was a very demeaning tone then he demanded a reward. At Ozzy's he hid behind a menu when Blitz needed him. Stolas waiting for the full moon to spring this on Blitz wasn't the right time. While Blitz isn't fully right himself in how he originally manipulated Stolas to get the book he did have feelings as he could of just left stolas instead of sleeping with him. When Blitz begins chasing him he's reminded of Stella, who abused and chased after him. He doesn't get ANGRY in a fight, he shuts down. He doesn't have any recourse when someone is unkind to him. I think it's unreasonable to act like Stolas removing himself from the situation as it began escalating. Stolas was hugging himself, trying to self soothe. It was not in fact him trying to continue the power dynamic by dismissing him. They BOTH can't handle strong emotions, Blitz explodes or avoids. Stolas buries his feelings deep down after he is hurt, but he HAD reached out and told Blitz what he wanted.

I am so sickened by the beginning scene of their break up, where Stolas let Blitz believe he was losing the book permanently. Stolas let him beg, grovel and cry because he needed the book, and said he would do absolutely anything, which confirms Stolas knowingly or not used his power to pressure a lower class man into sex. Blitz opted out of sex when Stolas gave him the option to.
Also Blitz ending rant was right about Stolas, Stolas has never treated any imps with respect, not M&M, his butler or even Blitz. We haven't seen him improve.
It was also toxic to teleport Blitz out after making sure he got the last word, proving their toxic power imbalance and Stolas willingness to use it to his advantage.

I am sorry but BOTH Stolas and Blitz messed this up. You can't change my mind that Stolas had the power in this scene and he abused it. He KNOWS that Blitz needs to get into the human world for his job. So WHY did Blitz have to start begging and crying before Stolas showed him the crystal?!
Blitz was freaking out there! And after Blitz messed it up with that fake "i love you" Stolas didn't even listen to him properly anymore. No, yelling at Stolas like this was not cool. But Stolas had the power here and at least for Blitz, this confession came out of nowhere. We all know that he believed that this was just a deal.
I can see how people see Stolas as ..... softer(?) but he messed up here. Blitz did have good points. He didn't have the time to think and react to it. All that was on impuls. And stolas playing with his feelings is also true looking back to Blitz crying and begging.
This whole conversation was doomed from the start for both of them.

That's the big thing that people forget some times, I think - WE see Stolas being sad, anxious, how much he thinks about Blitz, and even the looks he gives him when Blitz isn't looking, but the *characters don't know about stuff that happens when they're offscreen*. From Blitz's perspective, even if Stolas thought he was being super obvious, Blitz hates himself SO much, to the point of scratching his own face out of all the pictures he has hung up at his place, that it'd take a nuclear bomb going off (like the one that Stolas dropped on him in this episode) for him to notice someone having a genuine interest in him. And then add to that the fact that when given the opportunity to display more genuine feeling previously, Stolas has also dropped the ball in MAJOR ways, like being embarrassed to be seen with him at Ozzy's, and of course the mercenary, forced nature of the start of their relationship that, while recontextualized in later episodes, did still happen.

Blitzø and Stolas's relationship is a flaming dumpster, and has been from the start, with a wadded up five, and a slim fit condom. Stolas for all his trying, is cognitively unaware of the fact that Blitzø knew from the very start of their relationship that he was a 'bought commodity'. Even though they did have fun in the end, Blitzø always knew his role as a 'bought commodity'. This oft overlooked point keeps Stolas from actually seeing Blitzø's own trauma, naively believing that their friendship was genuine with reciprocal emotions. Blitzø is very much not that, due to his being aware of being a 'bought commodity' at the time. Blitzø is in fact a survivor of a mild form of 'child trafficking' and neglect and devaluation by his money hungry father, Cash Buckzo. Blitz has had the blame for his family's break up, including the death of his mother, and maiming of his best friend (prospective lover) and possibly sister, and consequent failure of the family business loaded onto him. This was seemingly done by his father, who is also responsible for the rift of misunderstanding between Blitzø and Fizz, and the other survivors of the circus fire. Worse, Blitzø seems to have accepted that regardless of what measure of blame may rightly be his.
Stolas, for all his genuine benign intentions towards Blitzø, is utterly unaware of the background trauma that keeps Blitzø from seeing their interactions as anything other than 'transactional' as would be expected from a devalued (possibly disowned), blame ridden, survivor of 'commodification of another being'.

No wonder why Blitzo said all that, everything he said was right. Stolas has never explained. Oooo I hate the miscommunication trope.

what an interesting episode, i really hope that the show acknowledges they both need to do some work. not just blitz, cause stolas while i sympathise with him he ironically didnt give blitz much of a choice in full moon (for understandable reasons ... but still! XD)

In my opinion, there were multiple chances on both sides to turn the conversation to something more productive, right up until Blitz raised his voice.
As much as I love Blitz, he was completely out of line in lashing out the way he did. I understand why he did it, I know he has deep-rooted trauma, but that doesn't excuse you screaming at someone you care about.

Just throwing shots in the dark here but, I believe that Episode one of Helluvaboss is in fact from Blitz's perspe ctive; an interpretation instead of what might have actually occured.
    1. As we can see immediately from the episode after, Stolas is shown as much more sympathetic as he subverts the initial impression we had of him from the preceding episode.
    2. The villains of that video, so far we get to see every and I mean every villain return in some way with the only exception being Martha and the cannibal family from that episode, and before you think otherwise, it's not specfic to demons as we clearly see the Agents return in the most recent video, this further reinforces the idea that episode 1 was fake.
    3. Returning back to the theory, we know that Blitz has a plethora of broken relationships and 'enemies' and this is shown through numerous episodes having one of these past relationships become the titular theme of the respective episode.

I hate how everyone is mostly on stolas side in this one. Blitz was in the right. Their relationship was just sex at first. He has the right to feel the way he feels and stolas didnt listen. He was so caught up in his own head and only listened to the bad parts Blitz said. Not where he was coming from

9:25 I don’t know if somebody noticed but in the background of this scene, covered by a red cloth, it’s that chandelier with glowing gems that appears in the episode Stolas and Blitz are kids and were having so much fun together
Now it’s the background for the massive break up moment of their toxic arrangement
Vivizipop always putting sour details to catch

I mean theyre both toxic as hell lol but blitz is way worse. Blitz is afraid of being used or someone being ashamed him , which stolas proved that at one point he was. Blitz is emotionally distant to the point of self-destruction. TLDR... They need therapy.

I felt like the Episode was too little too late... Coming out over half a year later after the last Episode in November, then only being 23 minutes long and then spending too much time on the subplot with the cherubs but the most important aspect, being Stolitz feeling rushed and Just crampt into the last 7 minutes of the show... That truly rubbed me the wrong way. I mean the ending even is one of the saddest cliffhanger endings i've seen in a long while... It's mean to end on such a note.

Maybe it's for the best Stolitz ended up being broken. Their relationship wasn't healthy at the start especially with their communication problems and with Blitz being really harsh to Stolas. Blitz will end up dying alone now.😞💔

I feel like even if Blitz was asking for a second chance, even if he was trying to pull him back, it didn't matter. That's not *what* he did. And that's more important. He could be right in how he feels about the situation, and he's right that Stolas set up the toxic relationship to begin with, but "sure it's a little insulting" doesn't equate to what he did. He hurt Stolas and the response was to treat it like a breakup.

  • @milenartmeire2588

One thing I have to say is that their conflict (demon royality and sex contracts put aside) is very realistic! What I mean is their actions during the "fight". Stolas shutting down and not listening to Blitz after he mocked his confession and Blitz yelling and insulting Stolas to get his point across, while it instead made Stolas even more hurt to the point he wanted to end the conversation right there and kicked Blitz out. Like danm!! As someone who has friends in a somewhat toxic relationship(they're trying to figure it out) this was exactly how their arguments usually go! Relationships can be very messy!

I strongly feel that Stolas is dumping Blitz for the right reasons, he wants to start over wants to be in a normal relationshipwith him , but Blitz failed to look at it like that. I believe the two are going to copy Fizz and Ozzie later on.
