My theory on mammon’s revenge. Knowing Ozzie’s disregard for contracts, mammon probably slipped something in there with the fizzy robot designs so that mammon can have an instant clone army. The mix of “attack of the fizzies” and Ozzie’s confession will paint him into a possessive bf/villain that mammon can exploit. Lulu land showing just how powerful the robots are and last episode proving Ozzie’s disregard for reading contracts and emotional weakness
Crimson (Moxxie's dad) seems to have made a habit out of collecting trophies from certain members he gave the axe to. These are: imp horns, shark jaws, cubi wings, and hellhound collars. Also the imp horns and shark jaws seem to make up a super majority of these trophies. Which makes sense since the majority of Crimson's crew are sharks and imps. However, it is to be noted the reptile like demons are not represented, despite clearly being part of Crimson's crew, and certainly more so then cubi and hellhounds. This might just be the animators/Crimson didn't know what part to represent them. I also noted only sharks and reptiles have multiple eye rings, thus they could just be the same demon race. However, I think the biggest piece of evidence of the reptiles being their own race in the wrath ring is Striker himself. First off hybrids of the races certainly is already cannon, and Striker is highly suspected of being such a hybrid. Clearly at least half imp. He also has a lot of reptile like features, and most importantly eye circles. Add this to the fact that the wrath ring is his bread and butter means they have got to be there as a separate race. Having said that it is rather strange more of them on the greed ring then the wrath ring, but it would also be weird for the greed ring to be the only ring with two specific races rather then having the reptiles in wrath and the imps being the general low class demon. Similar to how the goetia are general high class demons.
I found it weird that Mammon is more like a spider compared to the Greed Sharks, maybe there was a clown species that isn't around anymore, or maybe the clowns we see aren't just other species in costumes
I think the spider do make sense. The idea of greed do make me think of "Collecting as much as you can and as fast as you can.". If Sinlords are the perfect "predator" of their own sin, a spider web is a good representation with my idea. Overall, Loan-sharks looks like hunters to me in a sense of actively chasing whatever prey they have in sight to rob them. Mammon must be on top of everything, so he must have some kind of control (=web) over the mafia + he try to make money in any way possible (=extended reach). Also, after seeing him in his spider form, I can't get over the idea of his "humanoid form" is just a cocoon ready to open... into a spider form or into another useful to him ?
@@deadlydingus1138 I just check the wiki and I may have a beginning of answer for him. To put it simply : Greed = seeking it, getting it, stockpiling it -> repeat it forever Lust = seeking it, getting it, enjoying it -> but no "total" repetition In the case of greed, the ultimate symbol is the money. In the case of lust, it depends... there are mains symbols, like THE penthouse at the 40th floor with swimming pool/jacuzzi, a garage full of nice cars,... but the form may change depending of who you asked : Some might prefer to have silver ornament rather than gold, some prefer to go out golfing rather than swimming,... Lust is "personal" and "finite" if it make sense (you can change your mind and destroy half of your castle to remade it to your liking of the moment, but it's still a big luxurious house). So anyway, it's far more subtil and indefinable compare to $$$. So with the idea of "ultimate predator over the sin", Asmodeus don't need to have a "threatening predator of the animal world"-form because he "achieved" his sin. Mammon is kinda "restless" and will never stop, so it make sense to give him a predatory form for his "hunt". And for the rooster/bird form ? Well I have some ideas : - Asmodeus has a solid link with the Ars Goethia dynasties, which is only composed of "bird-demons". - Magpie do steal object, but only to "decorate" their nest -> some kind of lust. - If you go for the "rooster-demon" idea, those are called "King of the barnyard"... a not so terrifying king BUT some speculate that Asmodeus is the weakest of the Sinlords. - I don't know why, but looking at his three feather as a tail... Why do I picture the french cancan dancers ?
0:17 ... 3 princes left... wait color palet of princes is the same as apps, so in envy we will see black and white demon, in sloth mostly pink with white spots and satan will be orange and brown mostly. Interesting.
Really Random Theories: 1. the Loan Sharks may be originally from Envy if its ring really is one giant ocean, Mammon most likely then bribed or tricked their ancestors into living in the Greed ring, all fine and good at first since greed has an ocean for them to live in but due to Mammon being Mammon, they were probably forced out onto land so that Greed could dump all of its crap in it which in turn would lead the Loan Sharks into the gangster lifestyle. 2. The Snake Demons may have been the natives of Pride due to Lucifer's connection with Snakes as a whole, they likely then moved to Wrath and Greed and why? IDK. 3. The Goetias may have originated from Lust, I say this mostly on the connection between Asmodeus and the fact that they all seem (so far) to be various bird-like demons.
I think that the dinosaur demons are another native species of the Greed ring because of two words: fossil fuels. Get it? *Fossil* fuels? Dinosaurs?? gOD this show is so frickin creative I can't---
thematically it makes sense for Glitz and Glam to be from envy, since that is their roll in the musical episode. they envy Fizzy's crown and are trying to take it for themselves. i picture Envy to be an entire suburb of keeping up with the Joneses
I think it'd be cool if the deep sea demons were called sirens. Also a neat detail I noticed? Glitz and Glam's behavior is VERY Envy, even right down to their personalities. One frowning more often and the other grinning more often, which is exactly how the NV app's logo looks.
One correction about succubi and incubi, the names are not distinction of gender, is a distinction of sex preference, succubus means "the one that lie beneath of" and incubus means the "the one that lie on top of", which means a female can be a incubus if she is a tops and male can be a succubus if he is a bottom.
@@LosferWerdsConcubis is the word I've been using for the species as a whole. It means "to lie with" instead of under or over. Figured it makes more sense 🤷
If Envy is a giant ocean, I wonder if the IMP gang will need scuba gear or some sort of magic shield around them to breathe.🤔 Maybe they’ll even use bubble travel and this leads to someone accidentally popping it.😉😅 Also, there was a really cool looking and unique demon in the crowd in the new episode where they had a snake for a tail.😊
So the greed ring has Loan Shark demons skeleton Jester demons Reptilian demons And dinosaur like demons Or I think it's the envy ring to have the most demons
The colors of the skies of the rings follow the color spectrum, using the old mnemonic ROY G BIV - that is, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet.
I'm wondering if the reptilian demons we've seen, like the cobra guy and the crocodilians/lizards seen in Oops, are the same species as the dinosaur demons, same green colour palette (except for one purple guy), and eyes, some have svirly like the shark demons and others "normal". On the Dino demons, I think it could be really cool if they turned out to be called behemoths in the series, to go with some old testatment lore about some ancient great beast, which fits dinosaurs quite well. Some other demon species we don't know much about: One of the reporters in the Sloth Ring in Western Energy was a pink-skinned demon with no visible mouth nor tail, four yellow eyes and a flame between her horns. Another, more iffy, type of demon, was seen in Oops as one of Crimsons' henchmen (visible at the 14.34-14.40), four red eyes, grey and dark skin, elongated skull with horns and spikes, small spiky feet and a spade shaped tail.
On the subject of Dinosaur demons, I feel like they could and can exist about anywhere in all 7 Rings since Dinosaurs in Real Life have been biodiverse for millions of years.
Happy Halloween, everyone! Also there are so many species in Hell plus Glitz and Glam are obviously from the Envy Ring since they have an aquatic appearance. Plus one of the demons in the thumbnail look like a triceratops.🎃👻
wow this explanation was superb! I really appreciate the research and delving into the origins and source of all these names and demons. It really helps understand the inspiration for the show and is fun to learn about!
I think that all of those special species that pop up here and there could also just be the sinners? Like Angel Dust who is a spider demon and seemingly one of a kind.
I really hope Envy Ring is just a massive Ocean with cities on back of giant sea monster, under sea cities in reef and a nearly bottomless sea with Leviathans Palace as the bottom of the sea sitting on one of the gateways into the human world.
Seeing hell actually has all sorts of species, is pretty awesome! I even noticed some that i don’t think deep cut mentioned. One of them was a “shark succubus” in episode 7 at the time 26:50
Wow 14 minutes ago Great video! I decided I will watch Garnet heart and I did. It’s amazing! Unfortunately I can’t donate to the patreon but I can’t wait for more episodes!
I said this in a few other videos. Glitz and Glam are from envy, but they're also part succubus. You can tell from their physique and their wings. Plus, if you ask me, they look a lot like Verosika Mayday. I theorize they're either her daughters or at least related to her, but either way, they are envy/lust species hybrids. I'm in love with their design for the record. Can't wait to see others.💚💙💚💙
Succubus hybrids have their wings visible at all times. Also other than their wings they don't have much in common with succubus demons. We've seen fish demons in the background of previous episodes that have the same body type as Glitz and Glam.
i think the deep sea creatures of pride come in different “species” in the same way the hell hounds can vary from wolfs like loona to poodles like that girl who called her “lunatic loona” at the party (and all the other dog types we saw), so while they look like different fish and animals they are still all the same species
very random comment to make, with zero elaboration? she doesnt seem to be having trouble designing new characters, so where is this comment coming from?
I believe that the snake demons are called Possessors. I believe this because the Crim and Mafia design sheet for Exes & Oohs shows that one of the shark demons that works for Crimson named Marcella is stated to be "half-possessor" on the sheet, though her design itself shows no snake-like features. I also think it has something to do with the cultural belief that snakes have hypnosis-like abilities.
I always thought the Goetia are the natives of Pride. They seem to be very prideful, and bird demons being from the highest ring just make sense. Edit: just noticed the comment below mine says the same thing... 😅
Was the hellhound with the Fizzy doll during the handshake event a Imp hound hybrid because his ears were in the same black and white pattern of a male imp but was discolored from the rest of his fur and was not in Fizz's colors to imitate his hat
thank you for this video. I saw a previous one where you talked about Envy being an ocean ring, and then I saw the episode with Glitz and Glam and I immediately identified them as fish demons ergo possibly from Envy.
As somone who is a dinosaur nerd I feel like the dinosaur demon would live both in the Greed ring and in the Wrath ring depending on the kind of dinosaur and the prehistoric aquatic reptiles would be in the envy ring
Like some other commenters, I think it's very likely that the bird demons that the Goetia are made up of are probably the original inhabitants of the Pride Ring. One of the only demons who is definitively part of both the Goetia and one of the Seven Deadly Sins that each rule their own ring is Asmodeus, and as the creator of the portal gems that let the succubae and incubi travel to Earth, he probably figured out how to quickly travel between the Lust Ring and the Lust territories that should be in the second circle of the Pride ring very early in Hell's existence. (Hah, the Hazbin Hotel is in the first circle, which is Limbo, a fitting place for those who could ascend from Hell to Heaven.) I've also been thinking about Alastor, and his takedown of millennia spanning ruling demons. It seems strange that Stolas has only been alive for less than four decades when he's been known in Christian Mythology for centuries. I've wondered if perhaps Alastor didn't just manage to kill a bunch of Overlords, but possibly also some members of the Goetia. At least two of the supposed Overlords look like Goetia themselves, and if the race was considered immortal until an incident that proved otherwise, it would explain why Stolas has to have a precautionary heir, but whatever prophet had his job before him (the original Stolas of myth) did not. Also, if Alastor did kill off actual native nobles, it makes sense that it would be covered up and all his victims claimed to have been Overlords in an effort to prevent the kind of assassination that Stella has hired Striker to commit.
I think the Ares Goetia ruled the Pride ring before sinners began to be dumped there, since, as far as I know, every Ares Goetia we've seen so far lives in the Pride ring. Both Stolas and Andrealphus's mansions are found in the pride ring, and it would make sense to since birds are often used to symbolize pride such as Peacocks or Bald Eagles. It would fit their status as nobles literally being above everyone else, and it follows the notion of noble families being closer to god with heaven literally being visible only in the sky of the Pride Ring.
It would make sense that these reptile demons (like the cobra and tyrannosaurus) would be from Wrath. Because as far as we know Striker is from Wrath and is also a mixed species, being half imp and possibly half snake because of his hissing sound.
I'm crossing my fingers here that they're might be more Hellborn species in Helluva Boss in the form of lion demons, chimera demons, ogres and minotaur demons, and maybe centaur demons if possible. I know I could just make fanfics for all that, but I don't exactly have the time to write down everything that pops in my head.
I feel like Striker is a hybrid of an Imp and a rattlesnake since he rattles like one with his tail. One of his parents must've been born in Greed and an Imp born in Wrath.
In Season 1 episode 3 (Spring broken) Blitz says "I should have known you'd be here I can smell fish for miles, witch is odd because I believe the nearest ocean is three rings down" So that would mean he was referring to the greed ring, if he would have said 5 rings down that would confirm on the envy ring being a ocean. also what would that make Veroskia , because I think she is a sinner, but she has traveled through rings or is she a different specie
Verosika is not a Sinner, she's a succubus from Lust. Blitzø confirmed there's an ocean in Greed with that statement, but it doesn't mean it's the *only* ocean, just the nearest to Pride. With Leviathan being the ruler of Envy and all the Envy demons having fish/aquatic anatomy, it's almost guaranteed that the ring at least *has* an ocean, if not *is entirely* ocean.
I just figured it out! Greed as a concept relies on ripping people off and leaving them with nothing. You'd have to be pretty hard hearted to do that to other people for a living so greed demons are all represented as cold blooded animals.
Birds are descended from dinosaurs a family of reptiles on Earth I’d imagine being that reptile demons including dinosaurs exist that bird demons are are part of the same family, or that they share a common lineage or something.
If a demon has rings in their eyes, I always assume they're part loan shark f. e. Striker. It could be they're all hybrids and loan shark hybrids skew more reptilian - that one cobra dude, Striker having a rattlesnake motif, and several croc demons in Crimson's group.
As a paleontologist, you calling sharks "sea dinosaurs", referencing "deep sea dinosaurs", and calling the Pterosaur a "dinosaur" hurts my soul. As of right now, all non-avian dinosaurs we know of were primarily terrestrial. Dinosaurs also lived in a huge variety of environments, not just deserts or arid regions.
I mean, both dinosaurs and sharks are pretty ancient, but come on. Also, there fact that his reason for associating the dinosaur demons with Wrath could also very well be “big stompy angry lizard go roar” doesn’t do much to help.

Greed would definitely have periodic acid rain from the pollution
@@simondemoulin5815 an interesting theory, but what about Asmodeus?
@@deadlydingus1138 I just check the wiki and I may have a beginning of answer for him.
To put it simply :
Greed = seeking it, getting it, stockpiling it -> repeat it forever
Lust = seeking it, getting it, enjoying it -> but no "total" repetition
In the case of greed, the ultimate symbol is the money.
Well I have some ideas :
- Asmodeus has a solid link with the Ars Goethia dynasties, which is only composed of "bird-demons".
@@simondemoulin5815 To me, it would make sense that sharks migrated from Envy and the actual original inhabitants of Greed were the spiders.
@@simondemoulin5815his demon form could be a reference to the word “c*ck”
I always thought Glitz and Glam were Sirens given the features they had. But, I never knew there were dinosaur demons in the show. That's awesome
0:17 ... 3 princes left... wait color palet of princes is the same as apps, so in envy we will see black and white demon, in sloth mostly pink with white spots and satan will be orange and brown mostly. Interesting.
"Sharks are basically sea dinosaurs" hurt my autistic brain on all possible levels
Really Random Theories:
1. the Loan Sharks may be originally from Envy if its ring really is one giant ocean, Mammon most likely then bribed or tricked their ancestors into living in the Greed ring, all fine and good at first since greed has an ocean for them to live in but due to Mammon being Mammon, they were probably forced out onto land so that Greed could dump all of its crap in it which in turn would lead the Loan Sharks into the gangster lifestyle.
I think Pride makes more sense for the Goetia. The entire nobility appears to live their, as well as the idea of them being prideful snooty bitches.
@@Gamer_G33k true, but hey ya never know until they tell ya.
Best part of more species means seeing more varied OCs from the community too
One correction about succubi and incubi, the names are not distinction of gender, is a distinction of sex preference, succubus means "the one that lie beneath of" and incubus means the "the one that lie on top of", which means a female can be a incubus if she is a tops and male can be a succubus if he is a bottom.
Or "Panccubus" if you're a switch.
@@LosferWerds"Yescubus" 😁
@@LosferWerdsConcubis is the word I've been using for the species as a whole. It means "to lie with" instead of under or over. Figured it makes more sense 🤷
If Envy is a giant ocean, I wonder if the IMP gang will need scuba gear or some sort of magic shield around them to breathe.🤔 Maybe they’ll even use bubble travel and this leads to someone accidentally popping it.😉😅

I'd put the dinosaur demons and reptile demons in the same category, since dinosaurs are reptiles, but yeah

I heard stolas will be going to court in a future episode, so the envy ring might be a huge courthouse. Just a hunch.
On the subject of Dinosaur demons, I feel like they could and can exist about anywhere in all 7 Rings since Dinosaurs in Real Life have been biodiverse for millions of years.
A mention of Leviathan being the demon of envy comes from Thomas Aquinas, who described Leviathan as the demon of envy as did Peter Binsfeld
Hmm…dinosaur demons? I’m intrigued.
When he said that demons from envy seem to be more “alluring and mysterious” and I was like SIRENSSSSS
Leviathan is actually said to be the deadly son of envy outside Helluva Boss
I still want an episode where Imp goes on a mission/ adventure/ trip to the envy.
Sinners can only exist in the Pride ring
I really hope Envy Ring is just a massive Ocean with cities on back of giant sea monster, under sea cities in reef and a nearly bottomless sea with Leviathans Palace as the bottom of the sea sitting on one of the gateways into the human world.
So incredible to see so many cultures and diversity in this version of hell
Seeing hell actually has all sorts of species, is pretty awesome! I even noticed some that i don’t think deep cut mentioned. One of them was a “shark succubus” in episode 7 at the time 26:50
Wow 14 minutes ago
Great video!
I am glad they are expanding the world further but it is making character creation a but rough
very random comment to make, with zero elaboration? she doesnt seem to be having trouble designing new characters, so where is this comment coming from?
loved the video as always Deepcut!
YES!!! I have been wanting a video about this!
I personally don't think we will see envy until we get a leviathan episode
I always thought the Goetia are the natives of Pride. They seem to be very prideful, and bird demons being from the highest ring just make sense.
Edit: just noticed the comment below mine says the same thing... 😅
The only thing that i hate about Viv is that she gives background characters amazing designs but little to no importance 💀
Never thought I'd learn so much about hell from this channel
Was the hellhound with the Fizzy doll during the handshake event a Imp hound hybrid because his ears were in the same black and white pattern of a male imp but was discolored from the rest of his fur and was not in Fizz's colors to imitate his hat
thank you for this video. I saw a previous one where you talked about Envy being an ocean ring, and then I saw the episode with Glitz and Glam and I immediately identified them as fish demons ergo possibly from Envy.
I’ve got an obsession with dinosaurs so the idea of dinosaur demons is thrilling to me omg
Once I saw Glitz and Glam I thought they were the kids of a shark/fish demon and a succubus/incubus
I really want to see more dinosaur/Reptile demons, it would be so cool to see a Demon T-Rex or a Demonic Dragon.
There's a bunch of reptile demons in the background at the clown pageant, they didn't appear here for some reason.
As somone who is a dinosaur nerd I feel like the dinosaur demon would live both in the Greed ring and in the Wrath ring depending on the kind of dinosaur and the prehistoric aquatic reptiles would be in the envy ring
i js realized. The Gluttony ring has a bunch of animals/dogs cause they’re a bunch of party animals.
Leviathan was also a demon prince too, in fact, it was said inside his body was hell itself, so kinda like the Tartarus of the bible
I was JUST catching up on your videos and boom another! it judt keeps going
As a sea nerd the glowing is called bioluminescent
From what I heard, the dinosaur demons live in greed as a reference towards Fossil Fuel. But I agree that dinosaur demons would fit more in wrath
It’s so cool too think about hell having a Mariana Trench.
What if the dinosaur demons were originally from Pride but were kicked out when human sinners showed up.
i think that those clown like characters are meant to be insect themed like Mammon is so perhaps there is a whole species of them
At the risk of being pedantic: spiders aren't insects.
According to the model sheets for Exes and Oos, the fish demons from Envy are named “Possessors.”
I'm just realizing that clowns/jesters are popular in Hell because it's literally a Fool's Paradise.
I just noticed something: the Karen, her child, and Glitz and Glam all have green eyes. Maybe it’s to symbolize “green with envy?”
didnt blitz mention that "the nearest ocean is three rings down" which makes alot of sense for the envy ring theory
I can't wait to see the diverse population of the Greed ring.
It’s from Envy which are fish, reptiles, Dino’s, and amphibians
Birds are descended from dinosaurs a family of reptiles on Earth I’d imagine being that reptile demons including dinosaurs exist that bird demons are are part of the same family, or that they share a common lineage or something.
I love videos like this that mention the real life mythology of demons. Please make more! ❤
I’m so excited to watch your new show!
HELL YEAH I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT ALL THE SPECIES IN THE SERIES
💙💪💯🔥
IS THAT A FUKIN DINOSAUR?!
The reference is actually kind of fitting, all things considered.
If a demon has rings in their eyes, I always assume they're part loan shark f. e. Striker. It could be they're all hybrids and loan shark hybrids skew more reptilian - that one cobra dude, Striker having a rattlesnake motif, and several croc demons in Crimson's group.
That would mean that every reptile demon we've seen is part loan shark, that seems very unlikely
I'm so glad you noticed this I was so interested in their new designs and wasn't sure if they were supposed to be a new demon or not!
Maybe the serpent species were in pride “with the whole garden/apple of eden vibe” and they were chased out?
Has anyone pointed out that Striker seems to be a hybrid as well? Since he looks like an Imp but also has many loan shark features?
It is confirmed that he is
It is? @@Gradestar10 Because I've never seen anyone talk about that o:

The clowns that we are not sure what they do are seen at 11;46 in season 2 episode 7
