Just a tip for a new indie pilot on youtube called ( Godspeed), its Well animated and Good voiceacting but it has not been getting that much off attention.
I think only Greed and Envy are truly terrible places to be. Rest are sins of delusion or indulgence so their demons/Sins represent these aspects. Asmodeus is clearly lustfull, kinky/perv, but not malicious. Bee loves to drink, have big parties, but likely kicks out people who bring bad vibes, so maybe she ignores bad vibes/darker places in her ring too, like Loona's orphanage
But does that technically make it awful or is it truly what it is? Greed and Envy go hand in hand cause they are both selfish sins that pride on feeling depraved while the others enjoy sharing. If anything this just shows wanting too much always has consequences when you never feel satisfied. Bees world may be all about sharing but she does too much and if you can't keep up you'll fall. She has powerful drugs that aren't for the faint of heart and she is all about taking it higher for the thrill which in itself is scary.
Ignoring the problems of your society is a pretty big deal. Sure, we saw the fun aspect of the ring as it was a party, but when your society is all just one big party, nothing prodictive ever gets done.
I'm starting to wonder why or how Bee's parties have not had bad vibes every now and then, not just when Blitz came in. People may come to her parties to have fun and be happy but that doesn't mean any and all baggage that they have goes away. Maybe Bee's had time to perfect and act on these vibes as best she can but still I doubt that the case between her, Loona, and Blitz is the only one. I do agree she ignores certain problems that hellhounds have gone through, like the adoption centers, but it begs the questions why no one has ever blamed or hated her and how much of a hands off rule does she really have.
One thing I like about the hazbin Hotel/ Helluva Boss's petrayal of hell is that it doesn't really have what we normally expect. The suffering, for the most part, isn't things like endless burning or endless torture. Instead, it's simply the worst parts of humanity run rampant. It's like the world Senater Armstrong wanted to create in metal gear. Where you can do anything you want if you have the strength to do it. A world where morality is dead and empathy is for weak, nobody's. A hell for humanity maintained my humanity.
Iirc thats actually pretty close to how Hell is IRL (no Dante, Hell is not all brimstone and a cage for the people you dont like so that Virgil sempai can show it to your self insert) A place of despair were those who are evil are left godless and without orientation nor guidance, to self destruct just like they did in life
I always viewed it as most people thinking of hell to be a place where you are physically tortured for all eternity, where in the Hazbin verse, hell is based off psychological torture instead of the physical torture most people often associate with hell
I love how just the sheer fact of immortality is one of the biggest punishments of pride. You have to suffer there, and there's almost no escape so you can keep suffering eternally. Except for the one time of year where the chance you die goes up 100% and the subsequent leftover weapons that can lead you to a fate possibly worse than hell except you don't even know what it could be. Plus there'sa giant clock that constantlyupdates how close that day is.That's eternal torment and eternal anxiety rolled into one. There's literally no comfort or security even for the overlords
@@bukva28 Right? Like you would think many would welcome a 2nd death to escape the torment, which kind of defeats the point of Hell being endless suffering if one can simply escape it all
Honestly the concept of the Gluttony Ring being more an extravagant cage went to contain Beelzebub is definitely an interesting concept especially with her part in the circus being “Animal Shows”. If she wasn’t contained and kept calm in her personal paradise she could get irreparable and cause some serious damage
And that's with the leviathan did Lucifer just see that thing in there and ask God who answered "I fucked up and now it's locked in there, don't worry you'll be fine my child" before fucking off again (if ya can't tell I love the mental image of God seeing Lucifer as his rebellious child who wanted a kingdom so God gave him one, just the idea that actual heaven is not too bad oh sure there's dicks but plenty more are nice people and God is a complete dad and dork to everyone around him to the point of it being annoying to Lucifer know that this man is his father)
I'm not really convinced Bee is dependent on her Beelzejuice or her subjects having a good mood to preent her Monster form. All the Sins have a monster form that they are in full control of and only use when angered. That scene with Bee going beast mode was just her finally losing her patience with Loona's bad attitude.
I kinda thought it was her emphasizing to Loona that Blitzo needed help because she is aware of people’s feelings, and Blitzo’s vibe was throwing her off. I mean I can’t blame him after the night he had
i think the way envy's people suffer is constantly trying to measure up to others and therefore they constantly feel inadicuate. i imagine envy to be a measuring contest. they would also try sabatoge in order to bring others down to make themselves feel better
That would explain Glitz and Glams instant personal dislike of Fizz. They didn’t even know him, but their competitive nature went further than simple rivalry.
also if the demons can indeed only survive in their own ring then they just have to constantly watch the others from the distance while envying them and not being able to do anything about it (like go other places and make something of themselves)
I think there is a split between the dogma of Lust and how Asmodeous lives his own life. In the "House of Asmodeous" song, Asmodeous heaps mocking praise on Stolas for destroying his marriage and endangering his relationship with his daughter to chase some imp tail. "You sold your life for a thrust. Now THAT'S the essence of lust!!"
Is it possible that the reason Stolas visits the Wrath Ring is because the Goetia actually own all the farmland and the imps are just sharecroppers/serfs? I wouldnt see any other reason for him to bother showing up otherwise.
It seems like that was more his own job duty as a member of the goetia. IIRC the magic he performed at the festival was some sort of facilitator to the agriculture in the wrath ring, maybe it's not that the goetia outright own the land as much as that they control the means by which the imps are able to farm at a level above bare subsistence if even that.
Funnily enough you're not the first person I've watched bringing up the fact that the envy ring might be an ocean that only envy demons can live in but that guy added on top of that, that the polution from the greed ring seeping down may have caused envy's ocean to turn toxic/poisonous to its inhabitants which may be the suffering they have hence them being envious of other places to live in a " grass looks greener" type situation
But that’s the thing Ozzie can’t enforce that everywhere in the lust ring I imagine the farther away from ozzys district the more disgusting the lust becomes Ozzie gives the demons a outlet for lust but not all of them will have access to
@@Lumberjack_kingWell Ozzie rules the entire ring, similar to how Lucifer rules pride, and Mammon rules greed. More likely that the depraved lust sinners go to other rings because Ozzie wouldn't have it in his ring.
I always thought Ozzie made the factory for succubi who don’t want to do s3x work. That way they can make an income without being forced to put their bodies out there.
Uh, just a note about wrath and the farming: There is quite literally an entire district in the pride ring where sinners eat each other. Also, the pride ring is the only one that is subject to a yearly culling. The imps of wrath may be the lowest of the natural-born demons, but it's the sinners who are systematically squeezed for all they are worth before being left to die during the purge.
I think the ring that is least suffering is wrath. most demons in wrath have a good life even they are poor and they even gather every year to do festivals like the moon harvest festival
I believe that the Wrathians work out their aggression when something bad happens to them. I would find more healthier methods of getting over the suffering and make amends for my actions
No one is more wrathful than people who lead relatively carefree lives but who feel that they are the victims because people won't cater to their entitlement. The most rabidly hateful people are the ones who are least discriminated against.
Ask a farmer if their life is easy. Its not. Its not that the citizens of Wrath arent suffering, they just have a culture of "endure through it". Satan is the "Strong Man" act in the circus, so his people believe in strength and enduring through suffering.
It's essentially what it looks like. The wild west. It's lawless and violent but it's not so surface level. Sure, bad people every now and again but the local community keeps things in check and they live good enough lives as farmers, ranchers, etc without the intervention of other hell rulers aside from the occasional festival or so if the episode we saw was to be believed.
This is just a thought, but what if the ring of sloth also has Lovecraftian influences? A big part of Lovecraft's mythology was the concept of dreams and the dreamlands; which also fits with the lifestyle of the demons from sloth, who seem to sleep/dream almost all the time. Perhaps this also implies that there is some alliance or relationship between the rings of envy and sloth, as they both embody those Lovecraftian elements of the deep sea and dreams.
And the two sins are compatible. Envy is to want what others have; you lack combine that with sloth, which also includes in its threshold despair and apathy. The despair part is what connects to envy. The consent lack of something will slowly drive someone to despair and eventually sink even deeper into sadness in tell it becomes apathy
The Envy Ring? One sentence to sum it up. If you know, you know. "Karens and lots of them." I also just realized something; The Pride Ring sounds a LOT like the Pre Fall Eldar worlds from Warhammer 40,000.
I wouldn't be surprised if they have a ton of Karens as well as some famous internet/social media influencers (considering how Glitz and Glam were like, as well as their app looking the most like TikTok). Since each of the Rings are also circus themed, I also wonder if Envy would be themed to have a lot of tightrope acts (something that can attract a lot of public attention, but at the cost of their lives if things go wrong).
The mom in the waiting room definitely gives Karen vibes, and not just any Karen, but a HOA Karen! I wouldn't be surprised if the Envy Ring is just a bunch of suburban neighborhoods with envious & competing neighbors, pretending to live their best lives to make others envy them, while also envying everyone else. A "The grass is greener on the other side of the fence" kind of place.
Most of the suffering isn’t physical like in Zoophobia. The suffering in Hazbin and Helluva is psychological. Whether it be positive, trauma, or any other stimuli, eventually, you’ll grow desensitized to it all. Soon, you wouldn’t be able to get a kick out of anything. Drugs won’t have an effect on you anymore, sex wouldn’t sound as exciting as you think of it happens so often, your alcohol tolerance would grow too strong, etc. All that, and you’re immortal. Living forever until you can’t feel anything anymore. At that point, you either willingly give yourself up to the extermination to end it all, or your fear of permanent death takes over and you continue to suffer, unable to go through with ending your life to escape it all. That is the true effect of this version of Hell.
I would say to some extent. I think the Pride Ring is based on the movie Escape from New York. Just one giant city prison that nobody is allowed to leave from but all manner of sin is allowed to happen.
I'm starting to wonder if anyone really lives in Gluttony at all. It might be a vacation and/or party spot but I get the feeling that no one, other than Bee, lives there. While Bee may be in charge of Hellhound adoptions, I get the feeling that none of the centers are in Gluttony, if what Loona saying in episode 8 says that she's never been in Bee's home and if that applies to Gluttony as a whole. At the same time, are there any other parties in Gluttony aside from the ones that Bee runs herself? While she may be the best partier in all of Gluttony, i wonder if she even allows or has other places for parties that she doesn't run that may or may not contribute to her Beelzejuice, or any other products that she may have. Part of me thinks that a she's a hands off type of leader in a sense that she lets others do whatever they want in Gluttony without really knowing the details so long as it does not directly impact her mood.
Or maybe her mansion is like Verailles and she is in denial of in what a dire situation are her subjects. I think the verse "let them eat only cotton candy" is a reference to Marie Anotoinette
But difference between 18th century France is that her subjects are not hungry just malnourished due to lack of microelements in their diet and due to how much sugar, alcohol and fat diet of an average citizen has. She promotes such livestyle as she knows weak body means mind and lower chance of rebelion. Also children may have grudge to their mothers that they left them in orphangages.
Another thing I wanna point about the Lust Ring is as Ozzie said himself in his debut episode about his Promotion on Consent as well as actively disliking Love Potions, so he also doesn't approve of being fake and rape, which also adds that Lust Ring is a better place to live.
Also, I'm pretty sure Fizzy said at somepoint that Lust has good healthcare, probably better than the healthcare that Sloth provides, which would mean that the residents have access to more accommodating healthcare than Sloth does. But it might be difficult for those who don't live in Lust to get that healthcare, which may be why Blitz has to take Loona to the Sloth Ring for her shots.
Envy is probably luxurious beaches and underwater cities. But the citizens are raised as self absorbed and self serving, constantly always encouraged to throw others under the bus to elevate their own livelihoods. They probably also have lots of shopping districts to capitalize on obsessions with looking better than everyone else (Also I still think the pound is in the greed ring because of its color scheme and how buying/selling living things seems more like a greed market with how crappy it is there. But there might be pounds all over hell anyway)
Personally, I find the Sloth ring to be the scariest jsut because of how real it is. The Helluva Boss team did an amazing job portraying the mostly overlooked side of prescription drugs. I applaud them. 👏
Several people agree, having head-canons of Belphegor being the laziest/most depressed/most drugged up demon in all of Hell and delegating all the administrative duties to her right hand demon Baphomet (assuming they exist) or a candle head she highly trusts.
I think it would be really funny if the ruler of Sloth isn't even doing any of the work of ruling over the ring and just outsources the resources to another ring. That's the absolute EPITOME of sloth
I feel like the most dangerous Rings are the Greed Ring, the Pride Ring, and the Wrath Ring for obvious reasons. The Greed Ring is full of mobsters and it has lots of toxic wastes everywhere, the Pride Ring is where the Exterminators cleanse all the Sinners every year, and the Wrath Ring has a great Western Theme, but it has a lot of volcanoes and it has the most dangerous assassin ever: Striker.😨
I mean, if you're just a regular imp farmer in Wrath. It's probably the safest place to be in the entirety of hell. The community is okay enough for a bunch of wrathful demons. The most danger you'll have is the Pain games and from what we see, only those who want to compete enter the games whilst the rest stand and watch like it's their favorite sports game
That's a unique take on Bee. I never thought of that because I just like Bee too much. Hmm... can Bee actually understand her hounds? Can she get pregnant like them, have pups that need caring for? Oh gosh, dad Vortex would be awesome.
It may depend on the Sin, of course, and Luci IS a fallen angel... but Charlie is proof that at least some Sins can get children. The Goetias are also proof that the immortal lot of the Hellborns can, for that matter. Dad Tex would be wholesome and rotting teeth inducing.
I feel like Ozzie doesn't use his ring to fuel the sin of Lust as others do with their rings like Mammon. The sins, like sexualities and medical conditions, have a spectrum to them, with Ozzie being on the lesser side of his and Mammon being on the stronger end. Ozzie found love with Fizz and seems to try to make his ring like a safe place for beings to go, yeah he makes sex toys for Mammon, but it seems like the sins all have to work together somehow. I have a theory about the rings and the heirarchy, but I need more evidence to see if its possible.
I think with Lust, Asmodeus believes that the most passionate Lust is consensual and so keeping relationships healthy aligns with such ideology. (I’m not good at phrasing things) Love the Video and keep up the good work! Happy holidays!!
It's unfair, this situation. The humans getting punished for their actions in life is one thing, but being condemned to all of the problems of Hell simply because you were born there isn't right 😟
An idea I have for Envy is that it's the biggest place where the beauty and cosmetic industry is the highest. Envy takes into people's insecurities and offers to get rid of them along with plastic surgery. Kinda like in South Korea who has a high beauty standards
Gluttony sounds like toxic positivity. Like, everyone there has to act happy, but never takes times for their own issues, bottling them up, which one day might kill them
Impcut forgot the most important bit about suffering in Hell, having really horrible people in a condensed space leads to conflict by nature. Hell is other people.
if I had to take a guess the suffering for the hellborn is probably separated into suffering through neglect vs intentional suffering. Like Lust and Gluttony I think they are suffering through neglect. Lust does commercialize sex with everyone in lust being part of that industry but at worse Asmodeus isn't forcing it but likely isn't doing anything for anyone that wants to live in the lust ring but not be in the sex trade in some kind and the same goes with Beelzebub, she probably doesn't see the long term consequences (despite how old she is) of what she is doing and thinks that Hellhounds being seen as basically sentient pets and thus can be adopted into any family as a good thing, you can even consider Sloth as a Suffering through neglect because instead of treating the source just continues to treat symptoms of problems. At the same time places like Wrath and Greed probably actively make the hellborn which is probably why their native populations leave which is why there are imps everywhere and why there are so many shark hybrids running around.
One of the best things about this interpretation of hell is that it shows how evil self perpetuates and destroys itself as well as how the idea of hell and acts as an excuse for the people in it to continue to be horrible as because they know they are in a world of objective morals and because hell is were evil people are supposed to be they would accept that they can act any way they want because there supposed to be evil and never think about bettering themselves. It really makes you realize how pathetic Lucifer is in an odd way he rebelled because he though he knew and could do better than god but he made his domain a land of subtle psychological torture to “on” punish people based on gods morals which makes you realize he never truly rebelled and is still just a puppet as if he wanted to spite god he could have made hell a place of peace and rehabilitation for sinners who god punished to find happiness like what Charlie wants but instead he let it fester and in doing so is OBEYING god and form what we have seen of heaven god is likely no better than Lucifer mammon and Stella.
*So far, the Gluttony Ring and Lust Ring seem like venial places of Hell (although I'm sure Queen Bee-zleBub, aka Queen Bee, the beautiful, benevolent, spunky, vibrant, charming, magical, talented and compassionate party girl hellhound princess of Gluttony can find a way to stop the injustices of the Hellhound Adoption Center as Asmodeus, the Demon Prince of Lust can also find ways to deal with the persecution and prejudices towards different kinds of love!) *Sloth is somewhere down the middle. But other than that, better be very careful with the Pride Ring, the Wrath Ring, the Greed Ring, and the Envy Ring, as well as wish the best of luck for Hell's denizens, both Hell-born and Hell-bound alike to their survival, resourcefulness and resilience in their lives in Hell!* 😅🤗😇🪽🪽⚖️😈🔥🌈
I don't think she's a hellhound. Just a demon with a candid form. Otherwise hellhounds probably wouldn't be the lowest class of demons. Also you'd think Bee would try to have hellhounds be seen as a more favorable species of demon, but she might not care so much about that especially if you look at the hellhound orphanages.
@quentinking8469 *1. I'm pretty sure Queen Bee is a hellhound. And2 Second, don't forget Queen Bee revealed in the popular and beloved eighth season one episode of Helluva Boss ,"Queen Bee," that she has superhuman empathy power ,accompanied by her alchemy powers! Of course, she 💯 % genuinely cares! It 's Lucifer Morningstar, aka The Devil, and a fraction of the bad Goetians, such as Stella and Andrealphoulus, for examples that 's the problem!*
@@TenochtitlanIsDaBestServant yeah, only hellborns should be deserving of sympathy, and even then it's when they themselves don't exhibit further harm onto others
your analysis of the gluttony ring makes me wonder if some inspiration for gluttony and beelzebub was taken from dante's The Divine Comedy. In the divine comedy, the denizens of Gluttony are described as crawling on their bellies in freezing rain and slush primarily because if they ever rise from their places the ring's guardian, Cerberus, will lash out and hunt them down
ah, so thats why Luna seemed so angry with Belz. i always assumed it was cause of jealousy, insecurity, etc. but because Luna understands that Belz is taking advantage of everyone around her, that she was main cause of Luna's suffering.
The gluttony one makes sense. They get wasted on Beelzejuice, get pregnant, have litters of pups, and then can't afford to take care of them, so the litters wind up in the pound. Sad as hell.
So, Hell punishes you not by physical and/or mental torture (ala Dante's Divine Comedy), but by having you suffer through making you victim to destructive choices you made in life, for all eternity? That's...a pretty unique idea.
I imagined Beels Problem to be that she mirror emotions. She reflects the emotions she consumed 1:1. that’s why she wants to calm everybody down and habe them up with good vibes so she doesn’t mirror their bad mood and wreck the place. In all her scenes she seemed to always have the same mood as her opponents. That’s why Vortex is the perfect partner for her because he is always cool and calm. Whenever she focuses on him, she mirrors his vibes and comes back to the „cool“-status again.
I imagine Envy as the true incarnation of the worst of the worst from the Internet and mass media offered: Tiktokers, OF models but that one can be Lust too, Influencers, FB celebrities, Tumblr people, MySpace unhinged people, Social network managers, reality TV "celebrities" and many other examples involving TV and radio. Also well the insufferable nagging entitled people like the Karens and Kens that tormented so many souls during their miserable lifespan haha
Beelzebub's part seems a far fetched since she's still responsible for the _whole_ Ring and she realistically can't be partying 24/7 plus wouldn't that undermine her as Sin of Gluttony if she was some uncontrollable monster unless sedated wouldn't that fit better for Satan as Sin of Wrath?
That's a very unique insight on Bee and how she rules. Especially since she seems to display the most empathy and niceness as an image compared to her ring which could have half the population living in cages. I hope she gets explored more by having this be pointed out then finally exposing herself as a real sin she is, a gluttonous mood swinging monster
Honestly, all the masses in the Living World and Hell deserve better than what the establishments bring. This would need the help of Friedrich Nietzsche as a start
Possibly an accurate depiction of hell where you suffer for all eternity from the very sins that sent you there and as time goes on becomes more torturous as those addictions become less and less enjoyable that virtually you have to go through great amounts of suffering to even get a percentage of it.
You forgot 1 very important thing that give the sinners more advantage over hell born, They get super powers based off how they lived there lives and how they ended aswell. For example alastor he lived as a radio host and a serial kill (as well as more uncleared aspects yet to be uncovered) then died for being mistaken as a deer. Then angel dust who lived in a crime family with a web of industry and illegal activities and thus the spider motefe.
I think Allastor had gift of seeing different creatures before and the fact tht he worked as radio host made vodoo spirit he worked with take shape of a microphone.
Hey I think that the overlords have their own way of suffering. Overlords such as vox and Alastor as they are considered the most powerful might have a lot more power than their physical body can handle (as we see Alastor bleed out while fighting sir pentious ) and their want to us their power gets in the way of not wanting to suffer. As per the other overlords such as valentino their want to be at the top through unsafe ways.
Your entire description of the wrath wring may as well have read, "I have a deep and fearsome contempt of anyone not living in a city, and I do not value labor of the rural working class." Like... there are people that like living outside of cities. Millie's family seem content to me.
Also assumes the people there are all stupid, when in actuality most farmers are very mechanically savvy and have a far better understanding of chemistry than your average person because they need to understand how the soil will best produce crops. I hate this interpretation of farmers being a bunch of rednecks who are just dumb and tough. Granted the show is set in hell and magic is a thing, so they may not need to be as savvy. Plus the show doesn't give much flattery to rural individuals, but if you're going to try and make a point about real world behaviors, you might want to, I don't know, actually get some real world experience. I can agree though that farmers are absolutely exploited, but that's not some secret cabal ruling class or flat out dictators, it's ignorant people living in cities throwing their votes at people who make things harder for farmers.
Loves Art23 said that Leviathan (ruler of the Envy ring) has an app where pictures of the city/cities in the Envy are posted to make the other beings in Hell jealous because they cannot live there themselves.
My top level of happiness in hell 1:wrath It seems that the imps who live there are quite happy 2:Lust and sloth, as for lust, I think everything is more or less clear, but as for sloth, it’s already more interesting, judging by what was shown in the series, I can assume that the residents there are quite happy, so far we don’t Show the horrors of laziness, But I can assume that almost all the inhabitants of the ring of laziness are addicted to happiness pills and drugs, but we have seen those who in that ring are not very lazy and are passionate about their work, for example, like that goat 3: envy, I think the ring of envy is ruled by a dictator (Leviathan) who controls everything and every action of its inhabitants and I think there are a lot of racists there 4: gluttony Apparently Beelzebub doesn’t care about her ring and apparently most of them live in prisons and wait until someone shelters them 5:greed I think everything is clear here, Mammon doesn’t care about his ring 6: Pride All of the above (I apologize in advance for grammatical errors, I translated this through Google as I don’t know English well)
I know this is random, but has no one noticed when angel dust’s drugs get stolen and he says “MY DRUGS” ,there is a drug shop with a saying”we couldn’t think of a pun for our shop but we sell hard drug!”This sign is to his right and there’s a sign to his left saying “BEGG SLUT”.The time stamp is 15:38
Does this confirmed that Hell as a whole is basically the proto-Sith Empire? From the way how this video described it, it clearly does. After all, we all know that Sith Lords can come in multiple shapes, forms and personalities. So why not the demons and the sins in Hell? I see why not at all.
I think Glottony, while having a bit of a temper is actully the a pretty decent sin. I think her main thing *IS* the honey/mead. And she doesn't want it sour. Also her temper being lost was at somebody who was hurting themselves and using a party to numb the pain, not have fun. I also have a theory that Asmodeus got kicked to hell because somebody in heave is a prude
I know this video is about the rings of hell and their individual suffering, however its nice to see Zoophobia being mentioned. I love the change Viv had done on her depiction of Hell for Helluva and Hazbin. However, i would love to see references to Zoophobia in either Helluva or Hazbin. Maybe see Damian and his father, Satan. A reference to Charlie's old design. Or maybe an idea of letting Angel and the others escape to the part of Zoophobia, like how we saw.
If I designed Envy, I would imagine the leviathan body would be a sort of noodle city in some fashion, either as lev’s actual body or something it shed or built in its image, organized as a police state communist society. A real world example is the proposed line city, which has been observed to be terrible for natural transit, making travel to one spot in particular difficult. Everyone is provided for but can only advance through exultation through exceptionalism. They’re not behind an iron curtain, but the media exposes the truth through tinted lenses, allowing the population to become just satisfied enough to see themselves as better without becoming prideful in the face of their lack of freedom. The perfect environment to breed hidden resentment that can’t boil over into greed or wrath or lust but discourage falling to one’s own sloth or gluttony
i'm gunna be that guy and say that you're fully underestimating the intelligence of farm workers with your approach to Wrath. They're not there because they're "unintelligent", they're there because their families had been there and that land and its value to their bloodline is something they honor. Farmers solve complex problems most days, and the modern people taking on homesteading for the aesthetic mostly don't understand the issues they're facing or outright causing, like the tiktok user that keeps a single cow calf in her house. Meanwhile, my grandfather had fashioned a system to our family's well growing up that would blow a train whistle if the water level got below a certain point to be able to ensure the survival of the family and animals. Being rowdy bastards is just a treat after working your ass off.
addiction runs rampant in all societies it doesn't matter if its capitalist or communist or fascist. It's a sign of a decaying society. Addiction hits harder when society goes downhill. Now provided addiction is usually worse in communist societies and they also have other problems like for example zero trust communities in the soviet blocks where the walls of apartment blocks were made thin so you could hear your neighbors and you were encouraged to report them to the police for wrong speech. Those who did were rewarded with luxury goods candy pop fresh food flashy watches better clothes etc. Addiction was also rampant in said societies.
I personally think lust would be the best ring to live in. While yes, it appears the succubi put their bodies out there for sexwork, ozzie has said to stolas that he is against forcing lust. "Lust isnt something to be forced, lust is to be earned, and enjoyed on both sides. Its all about that journey to pleasuretown" so yeah. I think the succubi make the descision to do that work. I also love the aesthetic of lust ring.
While I'm sure needing to take more and more pills is a thing in the show, since it is a thing in real life and also feeds into the themes, I feel like Stolas taking that handful of pills was more to show us the decline in his personal satisfaction with life more than anything
I wonder if any of the kings of the circles of hell were/are/going to be in a relationship? It would be very cool if Belphegor and Leviathan ended up in a relationship and maybe they would have a beneficial effect on each other, while Levi stimulates Belf to make important decisions, Belf may have helped Levi with self-esteem and raising the attitude of envy towards the upper rings
I gotta tbeory for envys industry: they make all the best luxuries and the dark side is they not just use those people who arent deemed worthy enough for them as labor to make them, but also, as the materials themselves. What better material for a fine handbag or purse than sea-demon skin? Whatd be worse is the thought that sea demons model the clothes as well, so its a VERY screwed up system. It might be the envy of the rings, but its also probably the darkest in its depravity.
Little does he know that according to the lore, sinners can not leave the pride ring meaning that they are spawned there when they die and can not use the hell ring elevators, this also means that all living creatures in other rings are born in hell also known as hellborn... The only non hellborn are the sinners and the overlords
I have a theory regarding the asmotin crystal if there are asmotin crystal for lust then who's to say there aren't other crystals that other sins can make and because of that crystals made by othe sins would have different affects along with the basic things like human descise portals but my theory is that what if leviathan made crystals when distributed to none envy rings demons they would be able to travel to the envy ring with out the risk of dieing by growing a fish like tail and gills.
Ok I actually feel like I have an idea of what the ruler of envy might look like. I was looking at the overall color scheme of the envy demons we’ve seen so far and kind of collected the colors and mixed a few of them together to get what I think will be the overall colors. Maybe their skin would be purple? I feel like their hair would be similar to seaweed or maybe just a small underwater ecosystem in the shape of hair? I have a few general ideas of the overall look but other people might disagree with me. I once read about this one species of bat which eats fish as their main meal, and for some odd reason, this was the first thing that came to mind. Mostly because of the concept of farming the hellborns I guess. I also thought of a betta fish because of their reclusive nature and extreme aggression. Also because you know, giant flowing awesome looking tail. My next thought was of alligators because they’re extremely powerful and respected by those they live around, often building symbiotic relationships with other creatures. Also I know it seems strange but I don’t think the envy ring is entirely underwater? I feel like yes, a very large portion is, but I also feel like some parts wouldn’t be, like islands or one big island in the middle with the ocean just kind of lining it? One main reason I think of this is basically just because of the sin itself. People usually cause others to envy them by showing off desired qualities that the other person doesn’t have, which is now mostly done through social media, aka phones. And what’s a phone’s worst weakness? Water of course. So I feel like yes, a large portion is water, but not the whole thing. Anyways back to discussing the ruler, outfit-wise. I’m not sure if anyone else has heard of it but I once heard of this one large body of water that’s bioluminescent when the water is disturbed and once again, was another thing that came to mind rather quickly. When I thought of that as an outfit, I thought of dark clothing with spots of glowing bits made on it, the light growing and spreading when it moves or is touched by something. I feel like this could be a cloak of some kind, or some other part of the outfit, the rest being fairly casual. Because what is something that a lot of people wish they had? The ability to simply not care. I thought of their main home and immediately thought it would be at least partially submerged in water, maybe left a bit above the surface where the entrance is so others of importance from outside the ring without gills or the ability to breathe underwater would be able to enter. I think that’s all of my thoughts on the ring, still thinking about it all the time, so I’ll probably update this later.

So there all awful…😂
Ignoring the problems of your society is a pretty big deal. Sure, we saw the fun aspect of the ring as it was a party, but when your society is all just one big party, nothing prodictive ever gets done.
I doubt that
I'm starting to wonder why or how Bee's parties have not had bad vibes every now and then, not just when Blitz came in.
Iirc thats actually pretty close to how Hell is IRL (no Dante, Hell is not all brimstone and a cage for the people you dont like so that Virgil sempai can show it to your self insert)
A place of despair were those who are evil are left godless and without orientation nor guidance, to self destruct just like they did in life
Making the mother of all omelettes here Jack. Can’t fret over every egg!
*portrayal
Yup it’s just the worst aspects of humans amplified a lot
Really took the words right out of my mouth
I can imagine community of sinners waiting for THAT day when their sufferings will be over
being stuck in an endless loop because you are too prideful to admit your flaws seems exactly what that place is about.
Well that is the only "hell" ring, everywhere else the people could leave and do something Else If they wanted to.
A good point!
You can also interpret the honeycomb motif present literally everywhere as something like wire cage mesh when you think about it that way...
I actually have a theory that she's effectively bipolar and gets stuck in a depressive episode when lacking the positive emotions of others.
A literal party animal locked in her playpen
I do so love comedic irony
Plus, she was pissed AND drunk
I kinda thought it was her emphasizing to Loona that Blitzo needed help because she is aware of people’s feelings, and Blitzo’s vibe was throwing her off. I mean I can’t blame him after the night he had
i think the way envy's people suffer is constantly trying to measure up to others and therefore they constantly feel inadicuate. i imagine envy to be a measuring contest. they would also try sabatoge in order to bring others down to make themselves feel better
So Envy is Instagram and Twitter then
@@mysticpumpkin8520It's defi also Tik Tok
That would explain Glitz and Glams instant personal dislike of Fizz. They didn’t even know him, but their competitive nature went further than simple rivalry.
also if the demons can indeed only survive in their own ring then they just have to constantly watch the others from the distance while envying them and not being able to do anything about it (like go other places and make something of themselves)
Well seeing that Glitz and Glam's whole song was about how they're sooooo much better than fizz, yea that tracks
I thought it was "Spirit"-
Stolas: Says you hippocrite! You literally risked the economy of lust to save your boy-toy.
@@Inkys-tenatuous-channel-hub YUP!! I risked ruining everything just to dat ass! THAT proves I truly deserve to be in charge of Lust.
@LocalXPLRfanboy it's spirit
@@nirvallasparadise I knew it-
Is it possible that the reason Stolas visits the Wrath Ring is because the Goetia actually own all the farmland and the imps are just sharecroppers/serfs? I wouldnt see any other reason for him to bother showing up otherwise.
I always thought that's what it was
He also has a strong interest in plants. Maybe he likes their agriculture!
It would have to go through Lust before it reaches Envy.
small correction: the lust ring itself doesn't force you (Ozzie is openly against it)
Yeah
But that’s the thing Ozzie can’t enforce that everywhere in the lust ring I imagine the farther away from ozzys district the more disgusting the lust becomes Ozzie gives the demons a outlet for lust but not all of them will have access to
@@Lumberjack_kingWell Ozzie rules the entire ring, similar to how Lucifer rules pride, and Mammon rules greed. More likely that the depraved lust sinners go to other rings because Ozzie wouldn't have it in his ring.

Idk they die during the pain games
It'd be cool for sure
And the two sins are compatible. Envy is to want what others have; you lack combine that with sloth, which also includes in its threshold despair and apathy. The despair part is what connects to envy. The consent lack of something will slowly drive someone to despair and eventually sink even deeper into sadness in tell it becomes apathy
The Envy Ring?
One sentence to sum it up. If you know, you know.
"Karens and lots of them."
I also just realized something; The Pride Ring sounds a LOT like the Pre Fall Eldar worlds from Warhammer 40,000.
Good Lord, a whole ring of Karens xD Imagine that.
@@GoikuchanA true hell indeed.....
@@greenhat8978even leviathan would probably fear that
Most of the suffering isn’t physical like in Zoophobia.
They probably also have lots of shopping districts to capitalize on obsessions with looking better than everyone else
(Also I still think the pound is in the greed ring because of its color scheme and how buying/selling living things seems more like a greed market with how crappy it is there. But there might be pounds all over hell anyway)
Personally, I find the Sloth ring to be the scariest jsut because of how real it is. The Helluva Boss team did an amazing job portraying the mostly overlooked side of prescription drugs. I applaud them. 👏
You know, it would be wild if Belfagor wasn't even running the Sloth ring themselves.
@@Comet346 Yeah, that's horrible.😬
@@X-SPONGED Yeah, you're right. I just don't want to end up like that poor girl imp when Striker kicked her in face and got beat up by the other imps.
That's a unique take on Bee. I never thought of that because I just like Bee too much. Hmm... can Bee actually understand her hounds? Can she get pregnant like them, have pups that need caring for? Oh gosh, dad Vortex would be awesome.
Help don't give the fanfic writers ideas- (that would be cute though)
(I’m not good at phrasing things)
Love the Video and keep up the good work! Happy holidays!!
It's unfair, this situation. The humans getting punished for their actions in life is one thing, but being condemned to all of the problems of Hell simply because you were born there isn't right 😟
That's how Hell works. It's torture and prison not just to damned souls, but to native demons as well.
It doesn't seem very fair, no.
Stella ain't even that bad
@@tobsonasanya4765 true she nowhere near as bad on a large scale due to her incompetence but on a personal level she’s just as awful.
Also you'd think Bee would try to have hellhounds be seen as a more favorable species of demon, but she might not care so much about that especially if you look at the hellhound orphanages.

your analysis of the gluttony ring makes me wonder if some inspiration for gluttony and beelzebub was taken from dante's The Divine Comedy.
In the divine comedy, the denizens of Gluttony are described as crawling on their bellies in freezing rain and slush primarily because if they ever rise from their places the ring's guardian, Cerberus, will lash out and hunt them down
I've heard it said that the depiction of Cerberus there could be why Gluttony's ring is where the Hellhounds are from.
ah, so thats why Luna seemed so angry with Belz. i always assumed it was cause of jealousy, insecurity, etc. but because Luna understands that Belz is taking advantage of everyone around her, that she was main cause of Luna's suffering.

Hey bro thanks for putting this out I know it is near Christmas so anyone watching this right now merry Christmas
The gluttony one makes sense. They get wasted on Beelzejuice, get pregnant, have litters of pups, and then can't afford to take care of them, so the litters wind up in the pound. Sad as hell.
No different than real life
So, Hell punishes you not by physical and/or mental torture (ala Dante's Divine Comedy), but by having you suffer through making you victim to destructive choices you made in life, for all eternity? That's...a pretty unique idea.
I imagined Beels Problem to be that she mirror emotions.
She reflects the emotions she consumed 1:1. that’s why she wants to calm everybody down and habe them up with good vibes so she doesn’t mirror their bad mood and wreck the place.
In all her scenes she seemed to always have the same mood as her opponents.
That’s why Vortex is the perfect partner for her because he is always cool and calm. Whenever she focuses on him, she mirrors his vibes and comes back to the „cool“-status again.
I imagine Envy as the true incarnation of the worst of the worst from the Internet and mass media offered:
Tiktokers, OF models but that one can be Lust too, Influencers, FB celebrities, Tumblr people, MySpace unhinged people, Social network managers, reality TV "celebrities" and many other examples involving TV and radio.
I imagine heaven would have it's own forms of suffering too. Even if it's just, growing bored with paradise.
So instead of burning in lakes of fire or being frozen, the torture is being around humanity AGAIN.
Or simply being around literal embodiments of the worst aspects of humanity.
I feel bad for the hellhounds. maybe in the cartoons I wanna make with heaven, hell, and purgatory, I can have the hellhounds have usually good lives
greed ring = late stage capitalism
And he's named after a drug so there's that
I think Allastor had gift of seeing different creatures before and the fact tht he worked as radio host made vodoo spirit he worked with take shape of a microphone.
Theory: Envy, I'd imagine its people are stuck in a perpetual state of insecurities and paranoia.
Makes you wonder what would happen if the other Sins tried to use sinners for their own benefit, like Mammon.
Loves Art23 said that Leviathan (ruler of the Envy ring) has an app where pictures of the city/cities in the Envy are posted to make the other beings in Hell jealous because they cannot live there themselves.

2:Lust and sloth, as for lust, I think everything is more or less clear, but as for sloth, it’s already more interesting, judging by what was shown in the series, I can assume that the residents there are quite happy, so far we don’t Show the horrors of laziness, But I can assume that almost all the inhabitants of the ring of laziness are addicted to happiness pills and drugs, but we have seen those who in that ring are not very lazy and are passionate about their work, for example, like that goat
3: envy, I think the ring of envy is ruled by a dictator (Leviathan) who controls everything and every action of its inhabitants and I think there are a lot of racists there
4: gluttony
Apparently Beelzebub doesn’t care about her ring and apparently most of them live in prisons and wait until someone shelters them
5:greed
I think everything is clear here, Mammon doesn’t care about his ring
6: Pride
All of the above
(I apologize in advance for grammatical errors, I translated this through Google as I don’t know English well)
“To live is to suffer” damn straight.
I know this is random, but has no one noticed when angel dust’s drugs get stolen and he says “MY DRUGS” ,there is a drug shop with a saying”we couldn’t think of a pun for our shop but we sell hard drug!”This sign is to his right and there’s a sign to his left saying “BEGG SLUT”.The time stamp is 15:38
To quote blitz from the pilot "this is h3ll millie nobody cares about cars being clean here"

Bro I was already thinking abt Fizz and Angel singing "I'm just like you You're just like me" while holding hands earlier😭
cool theory about some of the rings being a prison for the sins never would have thought of that.
Christianity: “We’ve been saying this for centuries, why are you only just NOW catching on?”
Suffering....in Hell? Can't imagine.
What else is new?
Does this confirmed that Hell as a whole is basically the proto-Sith Empire? From the way how this video described it, it clearly does. After all, we all know that Sith Lords can come in multiple shapes, forms and personalities. So why not the demons and the sins in Hell? I see why not at all.
I would assume that everyone in hell is suffering to some degree.
Since, IT’S HELL.
So...hell is basically Earth 2.0? Sounds about right.
No
Earth 2.0 if some of the basic laws were not followed or enforced.
@@shadowwriter4538so the 3th world or earth in 18th century all the way to cavemen.😅
yes and no, its earth 2.0 just without the ability to weed out the most horrible of people.
"Every ring of hell is a prison and people there suffer"
NO FUCKING WAYYY 😮
This is probably my favorite video of yours. Blew my mind completely. I never thought of the Rings/Sins in such a way.
Everyone's a prude in heaven 😂

I know this video is about the rings of hell and their individual suffering, however its nice to see Zoophobia being mentioned. I love the change Viv had done on her depiction of Hell for Helluva and Hazbin. However, i would love to see references to Zoophobia in either Helluva or Hazbin. Maybe see Damian and his father, Satan. A reference to Charlie's old design. Or maybe an idea of letting Angel and the others escape to the part of Zoophobia, like how we saw.
To live is to suffer but so is to die and go to hell
-not even 10 secs in and I just got the jist of the vid already
16:19 Never noticed Blitz there before.
8:44 In fact, he only appears kind but in reality he is:
1)Arrogant
2)Superb
3)Irascible
addiction runs rampant in all societies it doesn't matter if its capitalist or communist or fascist.
Awesome video as always. Thank you for doing this, especially before Christmas. Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!
That sounds accurate
i thought we already knew this 💀 its. its hell.
To also support your theory of ozzie being less harmful than the other sins: crimson also called him the least threatening of the sins in 'OOPS'
Interesting…
Instructions unclear. My phone is now a block if ice
I JUST NOTICED JACKPOT HOTEL AND IT HAS HUSK ON IT! 5:22
I really like your videos
Helluva Boss fans when they discover that hell is made as a punishment:
Little does he know that according to the lore, sinners can not leave the pride ring meaning that they are spawned there when they die and can not use the hell ring elevators, this also means that all living creatures in other rings are born in hell also known as hellborn... The only non hellborn are the sinners and the overlords
It's funny when people realize that Hell is actually eternal damnation
7 Deadly sins are all Fallen Angels Asmodeus comfirned when he say that he know Mammon from start of hell.
Merry Christmas!
interesting how everyone thought it was weird how beelzebub was nice but your explanation makes her sound like a deadly sin again!
That did not feel like 17 minutes 😨
Man I was hooked
So beelzebub without her juice is like big mom during her hunger pains
It's hell so suffering is pretty normal to some degree
Farmers aren’t ignorant or stupid and we don’t run out of food
We don’t mind work we enjoy the freedom we have out here
Yeah it's a stupid stereotype that should disappear
