I hope they can do Lilo and stitch right by having Elvis Presley as the soundtrack of this movie and the live action stitch dress up as Elvis. That's how I got into Elvis Presley in the first place.

If Disney wanted people to like this, they would have the trailer be just like the animated trailer, where stitch invades Aladdin, the lion king and beauty and the beast, but the live action versions, and the characters say “get your own remake”
I kinda feel like live-action Stitch looks way too cute. Original was adorable, but he also had to look weird and sort of ugly for the story to work. He was made to be a destructive superweapon and every human found him revolting except Lilo. It's a really hard character design that had to be both loveable and monster-like, and from the trailer I can't see the remake nailing it
yeah the CGI stitch just isn't as charming as the original. he's too polished and his colors look more muted, it's kinda sad. he's cute but not in that weird funky alien way, he just kinda looks like an animal
I think they did a good job. It's easy to say that looking at what you know to be CGI, but if I saw that on the street, it would definitely be a little unsettling.
Knowing that Chris Sanders is returning to voice Stitch and he is the Stitch creator, you'd think he'd be the first person on this planet to be torn to pieces if the remake sucks 😂😂
I will say this, compared to the other live action garbage we have gotten from Disney in the last few years this one actually has me intrigued based on Stitch’s design alone. He actually looks expressive and can actually show emotion compared to what happened with Lion King. Plus he actually looks kind of cute and of we’re going off the idea of him being called Lilo’s dog, I can buy it. I am still a little skeptical on what his design with four arms, spikes and antennas will look but I think it might look fine enough.

While it would be cool to see marketing of Stitch crossing over with other Disney movies like they did for the original movie, I don’t think it would work for multiple reasons. One, at the time Lilo and Stitch was marketed as a completely different movie than Disney’s fairytale movies, now Disney owns every entertainment genre including Marvel, Star Wars, and everything from 20th Century Studios, so that marketing tactic wouldn’t really work. Two, they would most likely crossover with the live action Disney remakes which most of them suck. Back then Stitch crossed over with the Disney Renaissance movies The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King and those live action remakes are terrible. That’s like Pixar saying from the creators of Cars 2 and Lightyear which no one liked. And three, if they did a promotional having 2D animated Stitch getting upgraded to CGI realistic Stitch would make people want Disney to focus more on traditionally animated movies than the remake.
