I'm not saying she has no right to be angry or feel betrayed or that she should be friends with Alicent again. But self isolating for so long and bottling things up is unhealthy. She needed a friend or lady in waiting imo.

Visery's actor legit gave me mixed feelings about him, he feels very authentic, like never overtly good or bad, just the grey areas that make a character a person.
He was such a contradiction. Mostly weak and arbitrary but showed great strength and courage at times. Made countless wrong decisions, but in private discourse would show far sighted wisdom. He’s one of the most complex characters I’ve seen in a show in some time.
I just wish Rhaenyra had taken the chance to choose someone. That’s the only time she pissed me off. Like she had 7 Kingdoms worth of suitors and all she had to do was choose literally anyone other than Daemon and she would have had a happy life.
Raenyra should listen to how Tywin talks to Cercei or how Balon talks to Theon then compare it to how her dad talks to her

Whom was depressed after all, and after that, he had two sons. One was an warmonger, other was an religious nut. After that it came to the Unworthy, then, Blackfire rebellions, and it takes all the way to the Ninepenny kings which Tywin fought.
The point is, Aerys (Dany's papa) would happen anyways, he would simply not have the name. Alas, Targaryens were always a bit half mad. I could consider Daemon to be kinda nuts-ish. And when the dragons started to die left and right, Targaryen power was gone. It was all pomp, circunstamce and inertia that kept them in power.
What Rhaenyra could have done to avoid all these fates was actually to teach her sons to like dragons. But he relates them to the death of his family. (Rhaenyra died eaten by Sunfyre, Aegon II's dragon)
Their dialogue made the show tbh both of them are phenomenal

Not necessarily. Remember what happened with Robert Baratheon? He wrote his will and intentions down and signed/sealed it. But the Lannisters/Littlefinger destroyed the proof, and thus Ned was arrested and murdered.
Now I’m not sure Otto would have been so openly vicious and risky- not with the damage Daemon could inflict, but then again, I’m not sure he wouldn’t have tried a similar scheme either.

All of that could have been avoided if Viserys had seen Otto as the manipulative one instead of Daemon. Daemon offered to marry Rhaenyra out of family loyalty. I don't remember if Rhea was already dead when that happened. But I don't see why Viserys couldn't annull Daemon's marriage to Rhea if she was still alive. She and Daemon had no children. And the attraction between Rhaenyra and Daemon was clearly, genuinely mutual. It would have even consolidated power and entirely avoided any rumors about their children's parentage...
Then again, we wouldn't have Aemond and Helaena if Rhaenyra had married Daemon and had children with him from the get go 😅

come on. daemon offered to marry rhaenyra because he did have a hankering for the throne. he had been grooming her all along. that necklace scene says a lot. he maybe did care for her, she was family after all, but there are priorities, and i don’t think love is on top of daemon’s list. he came to king’s landing with a plan. he purposefully destroyed rhaenyra’s reputation thinking that viserys will concede to throwing the defiled girl his way, the only one who would have her.
So if she so obviously liked Harwin Strong later on why not just say it and marry him? Doesn’t seem like a bad match. Jace, Luke and Joffrey would be legitimate and Luke the heir to Harrenhall.
Because that would be to simple, causing a secession crisis was more fun for her I guess.
@@IronCrawdadyWhat happened with Rhaenyra’s arrangement wasn’t on her though. She was arranged to marry Laenor before she got with Harwin. Because Viserys was desperate to not fall out with the Velayions. Laenor’s father and mother didn’t tell Viserys that Laenor was gay because they were ignorant enough to think he could grow out of it. Rhaenyra was clever enough to catch on and made a deal where they would perform their duty to the realm and then date those they actually loved (an idea instilled by Daemon when he told her they have needs and deserve to fulfill those needs). The only issue in all of this was Laenor’s inability to perform despite trying. To say that marrying Harwin would be too easy for Rhaenyra is taking out all the context of that plot and what made it so complicated

But her solution to openly go against the law of marriage and pass obvious bastards as legitimize hairs and then complain and even make threats when people call her out on it isn't great. And race switching makes it worst since white+black+Silver Hair does not equal white+black hair. Who she "loved" is irrelevant, you don't get to cuc k a family and lie about it and win. So sad the show completely erased tha happy Rhaenrya. Rhanerya was the realm delight she was in court at her father’s heel everywhere he went. She had her own group of ladies that follow her around court, she had friends and kept her distance from alicent because alicent was 9 years older than her.
They made Rhaenrya like alicent was her only friend and the same goes with alicent she had a whole court of Lords “green lords” faithful to her, she also had her brother and cousin in the keep. Viserys was a rotten thing. He was a man of 26 when he married a 18 years old Alicent.

Spoiler alert if you don't know what happens in the books.
Rhaenyra would have easily survived if only she went to White Harbor like her advisor suggested instead of Dragonstone. She would have had her dragon alive as well if it wasn't for a small child doing something incredibly stupid. In the canon timeline she barely survived. In a timeline without her bastards, she would have an easier time.
