I've made comments before about your use of specialized language, but I just want to say that I never meant them as a bad thing. I like your style and the way it forces me to think, even if it sometimes goes over my head.
I've had it relatively easy af, but take my parasocial UC empathy if you want it. Glad you made it, man. And glad you feel ok posting whatever the hell you want. It's been nice getting more informal videos from your channel lately.
This is good to keep in mind. I think it's easy to fall into the trap of trying to find someone/thing that has the answers to not feel so lost when the world is so chaotic/on fire, even if that person/thing really doesn't exist. No parasociality intended (though it is hard to avoid even when trying to be conscious of it -- brains are weird!)
We have this obnoxious 'culture war' that we've been 'suggested' into participating in by algorithms and mainstream media. After what happpened on that street of New York, it's at least apparent now that there is at least one or two things both sides agree on.
Mostly here to sit quietly and absorb and mull over these points, place them into the horrific collage of the present day, but the bit about knowing you've been through worse and embracing a rebellious earnestness hits close to home for me. I think sincerity is the way forward in a lot of ways, both pushing back at political opposition and just living one's own life. We've been conditioned as a society to be cynical, detached, and ironic for far too long, and I'm glad to see more people just deciding to be real, even that's being real about being cynical, but especially being real about thinking and feeling deeply
I agree with this "stochastic absurdism", philosophy, especially, as you put it, "embracing uncertainty". I kind of picture it like that wojak bell curve meme. Imagining it like a painter. "Hehe, my line work is wiggly", "No!! I need to draw in perfectly straight lines!", "Hehe, my line work is wiggly." I've been seeing a lot of pushback against postmodernist movements and the sort of just throw paint at the wall it doesn't even matter kind of approach. I get it, but that ironic, absurdist reflection doesn't need to fully lose a sincere approach. It can be both. Sincerity through foolishness. Foolishness through sincerity.
Ah yes, another totally concise 5,000-word ramble that could've been an email.
I always really appreciate listening to someone thinking out loud when it provokes introspection and analysis, like you do.

Ah, you have UC too?
“Don’t shoot me. Don’t shoot me with a gun while I’m walking around the streets of New York. I would hate that.”

I admire your wisdom and way of thinking.

sorry for last time where i asked a question and I seemed to bother you? yeah I feel bad about that
You don't need to be sorry. If I sound terse, it's usually because I don't have time to write a longer comment.
