Can Your Dreams Tell the Future?

  • Have you ever had a feeling that something big was going to happen, and then it does? A study by the American Psychological Association defines a precognitive dream as "a dream that seemingly includes knowledge about the future that cannot be inferred with by some prior knowledge.". In other words, they're visions of the future that do not draw on input from the five senses, memory or logic. How is this possible? Let’s learn the answer together.

Yes. The answer is just yes. I've had dreams about future events that happen where I get that de ja vu feeling during the actual real life event where I know exactly what is going to happen for a few seconds and this can be from a week or two in advance to months in advance which is nuts. Totally agree that us humans span across time and that we possibly re-connect with our past and future selves while we sleep.

i dreamed, when i was a kid, that i was near the front of my house , then a sudden
urgency/ dread feeling came from nowhere , and a motorbike crashed right infront of me. i woke up straight away as it felt soo real and awful compared to the rest of the floaty / chill dream, almost like the feeling inside is what really shows how real that part of the 'vision' is . when i woke up, i left out the front door to get in my mums car, a motorbike crashed in the same exact spot. then suddenly i got the same feeling inside and had a flashback to the dream. i told them about it, it was weird since it was instantly after the dream but also because i have no clue how my brain couldve predicted something like that. you could assume that our complex brain pattern seeking structure has routed out possibilities and plays them as visions, atleast that would be my guess, but there is no possible way my brain couldve predicted that, there was no correlative data whatsoever, completely random. ever since, i really believe that we can predict the future, for whatever reason, and theres alot more to this reality than most spend their lives believing. roll safe

I had a dream once while I was in rehab:
a girl who also attended the program came to me and said "Brian if you show people who you truly are, they will love you".
this was not something that was expected from that person in waking life, and I told my roommate about the incredibly vivid dream.
that day was her last day, and when we passed around notebooks, she wrote that exact sentence in mine.
    freaked me out.

Several times in my life I’ve dreamed things that happen in the future. Mostly it’s random things like vacations, or conversations… but I also dreamed I’d hit 100k on RUclips while at my parents house , while sitting on my bed (when I had the dream I didn’t even do RUclips) I completely forgot about the dream until I hit 100k, and it happened just like I dreamt. @znoppen 2 года назад +17

@@Stellar-Cowboy No, it would be more like eating pizza in a specific place, at a specific time, with the exact right lighting and position. I've dreamt things that eventually came true, things that are so complex there is no way they could be a coincidence.
For instance, I once had a dream that I was running around in a ravine in Minecraft, and then, as an intersecting ravine was coming up, someone came from the left and scared me. A couple weeks later, I was browsing a website for servers to check out, happened to find that exact one after an hour or so, happened to do the exact things required in order to be in that ravine at that very time. Those are some extremely low odds.
Another example is when I dreamt that my mother was pouring too much spice into the saucepan. At the time, I was also leaning toward the cabinet So, I just said "stop" and she immediately stopped, no questions asked or hesitation. Some time later and I leaned toward the cabinet, remembered my dream, said "stop" and she again stopped immediately, no questions asked.
Another one is when I was watching a RUclips video that had something to do with Jeff Bezos, clicked away onto the home button, and there was a RUclips video uploaded my Jacksepticeye and above that a video from Adam Ragusea. In real life a couple weeks later, those exact same chain of events happened. How do I know this wasn't a coincidence? The video from Jacksepticeye was uploaded minutes ago, at the time that it happened. Same general colors in there thumbnail, same order of events, same everything.
The one odd thing about my "future" dreams is that I never remember the main event, only what leads up to it. So, I can't affect what's going to happen unless I do so at the very last moment, such as not telling my mother to stop pouring spices.

What makes this even more weird is before this girl came into our biology lesson, I told my friend of this weird dream of her coming back because it felt so vivid and real and then like 15 minutes into the lesson the girl just came in and sat down and me my friend were so shocked. When I was 18 I was diagnosed with a special form of epilepsy. Ever since then I have had multiple "prophetic" dreams. The dreams always were negative events (I never dream about good things I only have nightmares but most don't really come true). The very traumatic ones became true several times. For example 7 years ago I was dreaming about catching my girlfriend with someone else in bed (The guy was very detailed, had tattoos and even his face was very detailed). In my dream I killed them both which shocked my so much that i woke up. I never was jealous nor was there any reason to be suspicious of any form of being cheated on. Two weeks later exactly this happens. I swear on my life It was THE EXACT SAME GUY. I'm a very impulsive person and certain things can make me snap and I enter a rage mode where I don't have any control about myself. Because I dreamed about this situation 2 weeks earlier It was like I got prepared for this moment .. so I wouldnt lose It and potentially hurt them. It really was like something was trying to save my life and their lives. Ever since then I had these kind of dreams multiple times ... they were less traumatic than the one with my ex but It still was the same pattern : "prepare him for something bad that is going to happen" ... its crazy because im a hardcore atheist and a science guy .. I never believed in any paranormal stuff .. but these dreams .. its not normal It is something supernatural. During my research I read that even hundreds of years ago people with epilepsiy were considered to be future tellers and even were asked about the outcome of wars ... its just crazy to think about ... do you think it might be that the brain is much stronger than we think? Is intelligence or brain diseases like my epilepsy like a enhancer for supernatural things?

Atheist here ,and it's the same with me. I won't say it might not be supernatural but don't really think so .it may be because we are intertwined with the universe. I kept one since I was in 5th grade. Things I picked up since then is drawing a scene and noting time indicators. Then I write what could be influenced by my residual day. I used to just write it as a story as a kid and today I pick it apart and dissect it as most do have advice and meaning. It is not just random images. It problem solves. Robert Moss wrote a book called Dreaming True, which I highly recommend. I share dreams I think are precog too. That way others feel DeJa vu too. I had recurring dreams that my twin was dead in a school shooting (she teaches) in her lab and told people as it upset me and then there was a shooting where her nearby school the teacher who did her counterpart job in that one, who she knew, was gunned down a few years later. People think that was a precog dream and I didn't for a while, but then I realized he could always had been accepted and enrolled into my twins school instead.

When I was 8 years old I had a dream that my mother committed suicide. This was weird for multiple reasons including the fact that suicide wasn’t something I thought much of as a kid and that I had no idea what my mothers true mental health was. That morning I awoke to what I thought was my older sister laughing hysterically, I thought very little of it and tried to go back to sleep. As I laid there it became more and more apparent that it wasn’t laughter but crying and begging my mom to wake up. When I finally got up and went into the living room I saw my mom laying on the ground and my older sister knelt over her with 911 on the phone. My mom had indeed tried to kill herself that morning. I laid with her and begged her over and over again to not make my dream come true. Luckily my mom was able to have her stomach pumped in time and did not die that day but the fact that I dreamed about it, as an 8 year old with a basically normal life up to that point, has always stuck with me. That was 30 years ago and I don’t recall having a dream come true since then but I’m always at a loss to explain that day.

But the night before last night, I had a dream that I was flying my kite, and it was really working. I looked up, and saw that the sails of my kite now had a gap that went all the way around, letting more air through than just the hole in the middle. So I did this modification, and went out to fly it. It just happened to be a windy day too, and when I flew it, it finally worked.

" Have you ever had a dream that came true ? "
    " Many. "
As a kid I would get these visions and could not explain nor understand anything . Gradually I started writing these visions and then I saw a lot connect .
There were times I said stuff based on these visions and it would come true , making my mom believe I predicted that .
Dreams are gateways to the future offering a sneak peak, a vision, leaving u pondering about the things you saw ( if you remember ) . Certain dreams stand out from others leaving you searching for answers .
Either or both of the following things happen after a precognitive dream : -
    The event happens ...
You make the meaning out of it and avoid it altogether (only if it's bad) ...
It's a lesson for you ... Only you to act upon .
Dreams connect us with our consciousness on a deeper level .

To me, it’s part of a much grander theory. In my mind, our souls (or life force) are all made of the same thing, part of a bigger body. While sleeping, we can peak into that “larger form” and experience other peoples lives, our futures and our pasts, information from throughout our existence, and abstract things beyond our understanding. It works because our physical forms aren’t occupying our minds attention, making the ego dissolve for a short while. And dying is what allows us to be part of that larger life body or “at peace”.
It’s hard to understand that larger body and bring back the knowledge it gives… it’s disorienting because we’re used to experiencing through our physical senses and operating on a linear timeframe. That being said, it’s exciting to think about the possibility of accessing this energy space, learning how to navigate it and gaining a better understanding of ourselves from it.

    • @117Industries
      @117Industries 2 года назад +3

I think we peer into some larger pre-cognitive world, sure, but I think that the soul is the property of the individual alone, and not a mere fraction of a broader shared pool of meta-consciousness or something. Your soul is distinct, and personal to you, in other words. And you *are* your soul, as much or more than you are your own body. For your soul is the spectating “I” within you; it is indivisible, distinct, bears its own unique history and character (and perhaps memory) and cannot be fused to other souls. So even if your soul returns to some source place after death, its distinction (or delineation) from that source, God, and other souls, remains absolute. It binds to and correlates to the body, but it is not identical to the body.
Your interpretation is a little like Leibniz’s ‘monads’ if I understand his idea correctly. Or take the architect from the Matrix. It would seem that you think the ego is an illusion and that at the fundamental level consciousness is an aggregated phenomena which splits at the level of ego illusion, or rather that it’s the illusion of self created by one’s personality. Nonsense. Incidentally, such a belief constitutes a convenient way to capture souls by breaking the sense of self. Perhaps if you do this frequently enough (undermine the sense of self), you surrender your soul to some elsewhere, leaving only a husk in the place of your body. But we don’t have a collective soul, we are not the same as or a part of God, and while we possess some of his ability, the self is *not* an illusion.
Just want to clarify these things. Stopping Vecna (or Satan) from stealing souls, one comment at a time. Peace. X

in 2017 I was 24 and arguably in the best shape of my life. I ate healthy, exercised every day, ran a few marathons and could cycle close to 100 miles in a single trip. I started having a strange recurrent dream where I was back in my childhood home living with my parents, but I was an adult. In the dream, I would always be with my mother and we would always be returning by car to our quiet neighborhood in the late afternoon. I was always the passenger. It seemed like I was suffering from some sort of illness in the dream and I had already accepted my new reality. I was depressed and resigned to this new reality. I was a fragile and dependent shadow of my former self in this recurring dream. Fast forward six months and I started developing a characteristic "butterfly rash" on my face whenever I went out in the sun. Soon I was tired all the time and started having issues with my joints. I developed random sharp shooting in my chest and almost constant headaches. I was diagnosed with lupus shortly after. My life was never the same.

It weird when it happens. I remember there was a UFC fight between Oliveira and Dustin Poirier and a day before I dream about how it's going to end. Before we watched the fight with my friend, I didn't want to say it was a dream so I said imagine if this end in the 3rd round and Oliveira submits Dustin while he hang in him like a backpack and damn that's what happened, it was really surreal when I saw it happen.

A few days before my daughter was due, I had a dream that I was showing her to my brother and his family and when I lifted her blanket, she was just a doll. After a few seconds she started breathing and crying and became a living baby.
When she was born (in real life) she wasn’t breathing initially due to swallowing meconium. The doctors whisked her away to get her cleared out and and everyone in the room was freaking out. I calmly said, “she’s going to be fine. I had a dream about it”. I was so certain everything was fine and I wanted to cry, not from sadness, but from relief that I was shown “something” beforehand.
    She was fine.

The best story that I have with this happened one time, when I was 6-7 years old. I remembered only something like 10 seconds and it was me, waking up from a bed I had never seen and going to the bathroom in a house I didn't know. Then, 7 years later, I went on vacation to Brazil and, one night, I woke up to go to the bathroom and I remembered this dream which had finally taken on meaning before my eyes. What a beautiful way to conclude this story.

I have had two dreams that have come to pass however this one stands out the most. The dream is of a school play, my eyes locked with somone whom i never met, somewhere i'd never been, seated 3 rows from the front and slightly left of the centre. Suprisingly i could feel my emotions in the dream. Joyous emotions filled me to a point i didn't know was real.
I awoke from the dream upset that this impossible high was no longer attained.
A year passes and i am asked what school i would like to attend. I proceed to tell my father a school name which i did not think about, nor did i even belive was a real school, followed up by the fact that i was informed that no one i knew had heard of said school.
A little google later and we discover it was a new school that started that same year, i then proceeded to become part of the group that joined on its second year of students.
A few months later through friends, i met said person from the dream. my first interaction with her i barely say a word. I was in scrambles trying to piece just how this is even possible.
They say you only dream of people you have seen before so how? How is this anomoly in front of me right now?
A year passes, we became close and i bought tickets to see a school play. you guessed it. she was a part of the play, not only that, she was one of the leading roles.
The day comes, i enter the room and am seated.... third row from the front. slightly left of the centre. The scene played out exactly how i had dreamed it, from the visuals to the emotions.
I could not belive i dreamt of my partner before i had met her in such detail years before ever laying eyes on her or hearing her voice.
10 years later and she is still my everything, she always will

‼️ Attention to ALL who live in VT, NY, MA, RI, NJ, CT, MD, DE, and DC‼️ I’ve had the same repetitive warning dreams and I truly believe that in November of 2024, a massive tsunami (idk what causes it, but it’s bad) will utterly destroy the East Coast. Idc how crazy I sound!! If I can save even one life, it’s worth the mockery from the blind, ignorant folks who are so programmed and closed minded, they can only believe what the TV or their phone/computer tells em. The date I keep receiving is November 11, 2024! I may not have interpreted it exactly right, but November 24’ is indeed the date. I’ve been having these warning dreams my entire life. You don’t have to believe me, but if you’re on the East Coast, I strongly encourage you to get out before November!! I fkn love you, and your families!! Please, do not dismiss this warning.

Let's hope my dreams do not tell the future. I have so many apocalyptical, realistic dreams that are down right terrifying. Normally Natural disaster related, or the sun and moon colliding with the Earth, or on another planet where one of our man made energy sources broke and we had a 50/50 chance of either fixing it or it exploding and turning into a black hole, it unfortunately turned into a black hole that removed gravity for a few seconds before warping and swallowing our entire planet. That was the most trippy dream I ever had. My heart races just thinking about it. They all feel so real.

I had a dream decades ago, very insignificant and random, but one image that stuck with me for years was walking out of the woods onto a ledge with a single small pine tree sitting on the edge, overlooking a massive canyon with mountains in the background. Not sure why this stuck with me but about 6-7 years later I was on vacation with my family and low and behold I walk out on that exact same ledge in that exact same manner with the exact same small pine tree chilling on the edge with the exact same canyon and mountainous background. Needless to say I did a double take. after meditation i realized that these dreams are my mind taking worldly or mental patterns to the next level.

I'm 27 and I've never experienced any weird dreams, but sometimes they are so vivid and the emotions they cause me to feel are so strong, that I can still remember them years later. I've probably had about 20 of these dreams in my life where I wake up in shock from what I've just seen/experienced and that feeling is so strong that it stays for the rest of your life. Most of them are fun and amazing experiences, sometimes it's just like some otherworldly unexplainable feeling, some are so intense and horrifying that they could give any weak-hearted person severe PTSD for life. I've never had a dream where I felt like it was a message from the future to do something differently, and I've never had a lucid dream either. It's kinda like watching a tv/film where everything just happens and you can't do anything to change it. The only difference being that you yourself are inside the show too

One thing is for sure, our senses block or are not able to fully process information from our world. When you smoke pot what others call paranoia, it's actually our senses being open to the signals around us such as noise or light. Now we know for a fact that sound and light waves are wider that what we can grasp. Psychoactive substances push our limit a bit, but there's still a lot we are not aware of. Think of what we're missing out not having dog smelling or eagle seeing capabilities

it started with me and my friends being at school. the school, however, was HUGE and looked more like an airport than a school building, it had elevators and long hallways, ceilings and walls made of glass, etc. once it was time to go home, we were all waiting outside, and a massive SPACESHIP came to pick us up. it was like the most normal thing at that moment. we got on it and it worked like a bus, took us up and out of that place and we were travelling through space to go to another galaxy where our "home" was. it didn't take long. i think i was so amazed i woke up before we even landed. that was one of the coolest dreams i've ever had. i really hope that's the future humanity is headed to.

This channel always has the topics I think about from time to time. A few weeks back, I asked Quora (the nerdiest cool app on the market) about precognition. Nobody really gave me good answers.
    -
I’ve experienced precognition in my waking life! During a run in Pittsburgh, up a hill I was going and saw a few older people up ahead working in their garden. For some odd reason the thought popped in to say howdy to these people. When I got up to them, I blurted out hi, the woman said howdy. I lived in Pittsburgh for a year, that was the only time someone said howdy to me. It was extremely strange, and tingles pulsed through my body as I kept going up the hill. Coincidence, instinct, precognition, or I’m just crazy? Who knows, is all good, just made me think about this topic since then.

The next day when I went to school this same friend had a fit of rage over a hotly debated topic between him and myself. Which escalates to him choking me by my hoodie. To which I hit him off of me, he tripped into a window, and slit his wrist on the glass. He needed 49 stitches and I got suspended for the rest of the year.
I told my mom about the dream that morning before school and when she picked me up she just told me she should have paid more heed to my dream and kept me home that day.

I have always had premonitions , never good ones. The anxiety that attaches itself to an event that you know is going to happen , but you cant stop it , is overwhelming.
My first big one was of my dad dying , I was 9 he was 38 . I screamed at my mother not to let my dad leave for work, but no one stopped it happening. I knew the exact time when my granny passed away and my eldest son . I have tried to convince myself that I am wrong about future bad events. but they often come true and I don't have the power to stop them. I have had 8 near death experiences and one death for 6 minutes. I do feel like I am not meant to be here , but something keeps saving me . When you try to explain to family and friends they look at you as if you're mad. When really , those of us who experience these things are open souls who feel everything and use more senses than the average human being , for survival. Education dictates how we should feel and what we should do and anything out the norm is madness. More people are waking up THANKFULLY

They had moved near me a few months prior and we had never gone walking to the store before. I remember pausing while we had been walking and I told her about the dream. I also had one in which my aunt and I were walking up a hill on vacation on a path through the woods and that came to pass. The last of these dreams that I have had has not yet come to pass, but in it, I am speaking to my nephew about how to tell if a storm is coming closer or going away.(lightning and thunder). Since this has happened enough times for me to feel somewhat convinced that this may be true, I've been keeping a dream journal and writing down the date of the dream and whether or not it happens while I am awake at a later date to verify it. It's a very strange phenomenon.

I had multiple dreams that predicted the future.
One was very random, of my brother, and in the dream he was crying which was pretty out of character for him. Plus he didn't appear in my dreams very frequently. I thought nothing of it, but the next day he got into a huge fight with his ex girlfriend outside of our house, like acting in a way I haven't seen him before, borderline crying and just completely unhinged.
The next was of this girl I had a huge crush on. I had a dream that I was talking to this unknown girl, we were having a great time, and then out of nowhere she disappears and starts ignoring me. Then, I wake up, the girl I had a huge crush on out of nowhere disappeared and blocked me everywhere.
Could all be a coincidence, but still. Weird stuff.
    Great video as always though!

I’ve had a couple of precognitive dreams. One was just a meeting with someone a couple weeks later and one was the night of someone close to me dying. I knew she was dead the next day and someone confirmed it. Actually, now that I think about it, there’s a third. I told a girl I’d dated that I had a dream I attended her funeral. She knew I had weird dreams so she actually paid attention to her next actions. She went camping with her new boyfriend on the coast. They were setting up their sleeping bags on a fishing pier when she remembered what I’d told her. She recommended they move to the beach, so they did. That night a suicidal personal drove their car off that very pier, which would have resulted in the death of my ex and her boyfriend. Damn, haven’t thought about this in a long time.

And I just felt it like a few hours ago which seems coincidental, the effects to me is my head vibrating and my eye tearing up. the feeling gives me goosebumps and always makes me want to move a lot.

Finally, I can comment this at an appropriate time in life where this phenomena has occurred multiple times, has been researched through several cases and seems to be more prevalent in life. Almost 4 years ago I had two precognitive dreams. One where I saw a woman who looked like someone that I later met in life and another was a small boy who I saw just a few days later in my hometown. During that time in my life, almost 4 years ago, I kept having VERY vivid dreams and still do to this day. I have been recording my dreams since then. I suggest anyone to do so whether they have personally experienced this or not. Who knows, maybe there is some bigger connection at least having to do with our minds. I don't know. It is very fascinating and interesting.

Searched this up because last night I dreamt my younger siblings and I were in the car, the car was on, everything was on, and one of them decided to sit in the drivers seat, thinking everything was off, so he could pretend to drive it. He then unintentionally started to actually drive the car, without any experience. The car started to go down a steep hill, ultimately leading to it crashing into something. The car was severely damaged, and when our parents found out what happened, they began to stress out over the car damage, not knowing if they’d have enough money to repair the damages. The dream ended with my parents stressing out. Hated seeing them like that. Thankfully, I woke up, realizing it was all just a dream. Just making sure that doesn’t happen in real life…

Im pretty sure mental and physical degradation to the body break down these capacities. Im of the opinion that the brain is a mix of analog and quantum computer, this would suggest that the brain in very niche circumstances is able to do quantum probability calculations outside of linear logic calculations but since we train for linear and its more practical in the everyday thats what the brain rewires itself to do.

What might be an interesting thought is that we don't live our lives in the present as all of our senses tell us things that have just happened not as they are exectly at that moment so what if the dreams about the future are just our brains way of thinking of the past but progecting our current thoughts onto a memory of the past

Although not exactly the same as the ideas in this video, this did remind me of something. About two months ago, I was driving to my school as I do quite often and, when I was roughly two or three away from it, I noticed the person in my rearview mirror. They were quite close to me, but it's nothing too unusual compared to the types of people I've already seen on the road, and it certainly wasn't as close as people have gotten before. Regardless, I had a passing thought in my head that was just the words "they're going to hit me" with a pretty high amount of certainty. I kind of just ignored the thought, because there didn't seem to be any reason at all to stress about it; it was just a thought. A minute or two later, there was a car in front of me taking a right turn, and I was slowing down to let them do so. The car behind me did not slow down, and it collided with me. Nobody was injured, but both cars suffered some damages (theirs much more than mine) and you better believe I remembered that "passing thought" I had.

I have these dreams too, even though I have less "visions" than when I was a kid. Back then I could see things years before they would happen. I have these flashes where I am in an hypnotized state, either by dreaming or being extremely creative while painting. These visions are always about a short and powerful moment, most of the time it is an exciting moment or a warning to manage my life correctly.
I experienced it again last time I was on mushrooms, it was surprising because I was not having hallucinations, so I was not delusional. It was as if the very perceptive state of mind I was in induced the vision.
(For me at least) There is clearly a correlation between these perceptions of the future and the "overflow of creativity", the flow (altered state of consciousness achieved by an absolute focus on an activity) and states of extreme well being (not happiness or joy, a total and absolute well being). But I don't know where we could get the signals necessary to perceive bits of the future..
As said in the video, maybe there is a link with other dimensions, where we could perceive bits of the future, but I really cannot say since I tend to be very scientific and careful.
If we follow my theory about having visions because of the extremely focused, creative or absolute well being state, it might explain why people tend to have less visions when aging (because the mind of a kid is way more perceptive and achieves easier these states of consciousness).

The beauty/mystery of most future-telling dreams is that they do not require the dreamer's physical input.
If you are a spiritual person, you can(arguably) participate in stopping certain events of your dream from physically manifesting.
I experience future-telling dreams uncountable times per year.
    Examples:
    - two separate times last month, I dreamt of a knock on my door. When I woke up, about 20minutes later someone was knocking on my door.
    - In two separate instances one in 2022 and another in 2018/19, I dreamt of my mentor that I haven't spoken to for weeks, jetting into the country and later in the same week, he physically jetted in.
    - I have dreamt about people I meet and then the next day I meet them wearing the exact same clothes as they wore in the dreams
    - I have dreamt of geopolitics and they happen.
Wierd how I had no physical input to any of the physical events.
In most of such dreams, the concept of time feels so ELASTIC. One scene in a dream may feel like 1000s of years ago while another scene in the same dream feels like a distant future.
Explaining the complex dreams to a normal/typical non-dreamer would make them think you are crazy so I just don't tell some.
We certainly see into the future and the PAST, however, my biggest desire is to understand how to invoke/trigger such dreams.
From my experience, I think writing notes of your previous dreams are some of the things that actually help increase the number/frequency of dreams.
The sad thing is you cannot decide which day to have a dream, it just happens without you triggering it.
One of the technologies I am watching closely is Neuralink, I hope they build it with an API for people to plug customizations into it.
I have this strong conviction that for dreams we have that we don't understand, they are still a reality bound to happen in someone else's physical world, hence if we work on technologies that curate all dreams and run recognition algorithms(face, voice, buildings, colour, aesthetic etc...), we could remap the future, and save lives. A giant dream cloud or dream repository.
The fact that we do not know how to harness our abilities makes me feel sad.

Ok here goes! This will be a long comment so I thank anyone or everyone that takes the time to read it in its entirety.
I have always had moments of Deja Vu that I never necessarily considered Deja Vu. I actually believe them to be Premonitions. The first real incident that blew my mind happened in 5th grade, but I dreamt it in 3rd grade. I remember when I dreamt it because the dream was so vivid, it was extremely clear when I woke up and made absolutely no sense at all at the time I dreamt it which is why it was so easy to remember it. I even woke up and told my brother, sister, and mom about it. In the dream, I was walking down a long wall in a large school and I was a new student carrying books in my hands. I was older but I felt the age I was when dreaming. I was walking at the end of a soccer field and there was a percussion band playing at another edge of the field, practicing with an instructor. Everyone was wearing green and white uniforms. As I walk down the long outer wall toward some picnic tables to take a seat I turn a corner and slammed into a young girl who was turning the corner at the same time in the opposite direction. We both fell backward and I dropped the books. It was supper embarrassing and I woke up with that feeling of embarrassment. This was so weird and memorable when I awoke because at the time we lived in Pennsylvania and I was in a public elementary school which was nothing like the dream. There was also nothing at the time that I had seen even similar to that. Your talking days before the internet and when all you watched was TV regular channels.
Then all of a sudden 2 years later we moved back to my hometown in Saltillo, Mexico, and the school my mom enrolled me in was COLMEX on my first day there in the middle of the day during recess there I was walking down that wall with the books in my hand. Everything hit me all at once the full dream. I was able to remember the details completely. So as I reached the edge of the corner I stopped and didn't turn and the girl walked right past me. We did not bump each other. The best feeling was nothing was embarrassing me. It was the craziest thing ever though. While at that school and in that city I had another dream that was a premonition.
In fifth grade, I had another dream that was ridiculously detailed and vivid and that made absolutely no sense at all. The same thing, as walking into a new school. This time the school was super small, everyone was wearing blue and white uniforms, and this assistant was walking me to my classroom guiding me there. This school was like a large hacienda-styled building turned into a school. When I arrive at what would be my classroom, the class had not started yet but there were students already sitting at their desks. The assistant tells me to take a seat at an empty desk and there weren't many to choose from. What stuck to my memory a lot when I woke up that seemed so odd was that the desks were so old looking like the ones made from actual wood that you can open and place books and supplies inside them, but even crazier was that they were all painted pink. In the dream, I see a group of kids some of that probably were from that classroom and they were just hanging out in the corner sitting on top of the desk talking with other students from my classroom. I end up taking the closest seat that was empty as I walk in and since I'm new I just sit there and stare forward and then almost instantly a kid walks into the classroom and sees me sitting there and says to me in Spanish "who the hell do you think you are sitting in my desk you stupid gringo" and everyone started laughing at me. Again very similar to the first dream in certain aspects and I was also so embarrassed and woke up feeling very badly.
A year later, we had moved to a super small town in central Mexico, Patzcuaro, Michoacan, and the first school I went to there was nothing like that school. But I had issues at that school with some fights and my mom found out that the other school had more prestige and so she enrolled me in a second school. This was the start of 6th grade or more a less a couple months in. When I began the journey to the classroom with the assistant guiding me I was shocked and could remember everything instantly. I was literally debating in my mind what I should do differently. I was seriously worried to go through that situation in the dream. I was thinking to myself should I choose a different desk, should I stand and wait until that boy walks in and takes a seat first? I seriously didn't know what to do. I decided I would test the premonition instead. Sort of like stopping before turning the corner except for this time I wanted more proof like involving others to see their reaction. I went into the classroom and sat down at the same desk and waited to see that boy walk in. As soon as he went into the classroom and looked at me right when he began to open his mouth I yelled at him and said in Spanish (Yes I'm a f*%cken Gringo and I took your seat, what are you going to do about it." Everyone started laughing at him instead a lot of them questioned how I knew it was his seat. Turned out this boy was the most popular kid in school and was the biggest bully there. For the rest of the year of my studying there he never once spoke to me EVER and he would avoid me all the time like he was so afraid and shocked that I would say what he was going to say first.
The premonitions became more and more frequent over time. Always with dreams always situations that were strange like confrontations or meeting someone new or experiencing something completely new. A lot of time there wasn't anything major like those that needed to change. But as I would tell people anything about this and explain it to them they all think I'm making things up and lying. So because of this, every chance I get to prove I'm having a premonition moment that comes to reality and I can say what's about to happen or about to be said, I immediately try to do so. In one of those types of instances, I was dating a new girl that I really like a lot before our first date. I was working as an English Teacher as a second language at a school much like Harmon Hall. While a teacher there I had a student (adult classes) that I really liked, but of course, since I was her teacher I found it impossible to try and make a move because it would be unprofessional. When I quit the job due to friction with other staff members, she convinced the front desk receptionist of the school to give her my number and she called me out of the blue and told me that everyone in her class really missed me and that they wanted to organize a reunion to have drinks and maybe go out to eat. I accepted of course. When that Saturday came to be I was thinking everything was ready to go as planned and she called me last minute to say that no one else from the class would be able to make it and that only she was available lol. So I had a BBQ invitation from other friends I invited her to join me and go with me to meet my friends. The attraction was so powerful we couldn't take our eyes off of each other and we were talking so much that we never paid any attention to anyone else. I was literally telling her about my premonitions and that I really like her a lot because I was sure I had met her before in a dream. She laughed and looked at me as cheesy and weird. At that exact moment, a premonition comes to reality and it hits me all at once. But this time I didn't remember when I had that dream it felt more like a deja vu but when it hit me I knew a few seconds forward what was going to happen and I told her "Wow in fact this is a dream I had and said to her my friend who invited me is about to walk up and I will stand, hug him and say hi to him and when I go to introduce you he will recognize you and scream out your name surprised that you are there because you both realize you already knew each other. As soon as I finished explaining it to her everything happened exactly like I said it would and she was so shocked she froze when my friend went to say hi to her. She sat back down afterward and just looked at me and said WTF how was that even possible. She thought it was some kind of prank. Those are just the most interesting and memorable experiences what do you all think? Should I try to learn more about it?

Please consider again what was said in the video: we have millions of dreams, bizarre or mundane, and pay attention to them only when reality, very rarely, somehow meets or repeats them. Just like with horoscopes, when you pick just the parts that you think fit you and forget the rest. I would agree that in our dreams our unconscious minds can bring up a lot of unrealized, internal facts or feelings (like the fact that a baby or cancer is starting to develop in one's body).
When you dream of a car crash and decide not to drive next day, you really do not know if that dream was prophetic in any way. Of course more drastic and emotional dreams are remembered better and more vivid. Therefore, I think that we can talk of some visionary, prophetic dreams only when we dream of something external, independent of our actions, and quite specific, which actually happens shortly after. Best if the dream was told to someone/written down before the event happened.
Not so easy now, huh? Share your stories.

My mother had one of these dreams as a young adult. She was at her very last exam to get out of college, and 3 days before the actual exam took place she had the dream. (For context, the exam is an oral exam where they give you a wide array of subjects to learn and prepare but they will only ask about one). In her dream her recently deceased grandfather came to her and told her which subject the exam would be about. (It was about Napoleon) So she only studied for that one, and low and behold the teacher asked her that subject out of all (possibly over 25 options). You're still free to believe what you'd like ofc, im an atheist so i tend to logically see things most of the time but dreams are something different for me.
