The moment this was playing, you just HAD to read it aloud to really make it seem like you were a part of the investigation / deduction. This was such a powerful moment where 2 best friends reunite after so long, only to just dance away. “Come Wilson. The game, is afoot!”
SPOILERS The Dance of Deduction with Yujin and Sholmes has to be one of my favorite moments in the games. You really see that Sholmes didn't get his title from some silly stories, but because he's genuinely a genius in his deductions, not to mention Yujin's exquisite tap dancing and his own sharp mind at work. Truly incredible.
@@TimBagels I actually had to use Story Mode to figure that one out. I figured out that the tattoo was numbers but I didn’t know the “e” was supposed to be a 2.
Sholmes deduction is OP. All the cases he was investigating separately happens to be linked to whatever cases you were playing which at first you dont see the connection.
SPOILERS ngl, this is kinda bittersweet in a sense that the first time Yujin got to do a case with a friend after a long time, this was also the "end" of another friendship. Damn Jigoku. Why you gotta hurt me like that
honestly the game doesn't dwell on it but mikotoba has had it pretty rough when you really think about it. he had to see two women die during childbirth without being able to do anything about it (one of them his wife, no less), he had to leave two daughters behind as he left for a different country, and he lost two of his closest friends in britain. man's been through some shit
@@naemissa7849 Oh my god now that you put it that way it's really sad and tragic. He's high on the list of the most traumatized characters of tgaa, next to Barok and Kazuma lol.
Similar to Jigoku, he also lost his friend Wilson/Watson, only to find out how he had deceived him 10 years earlier (Even if he didn't murder anyone, well directly that is). Sholmes might just be his only real friend left.
I thoroughly enjoy the idea that they completely perfected the synergy between the two. I don't know how the game did but by God, there is no possible way they could have honored more the legendary duo that is Holmes and Watson. This was one of the rare moments in all of gaming that is a true and undisputable 10/10 moment that makes games so great.

Who needs magatama, bracelet, mediums and a mood tracking device when you have an OP deduction. To bad evidence is everything, otherwise Sholmes would caught everybody on the spot.
Yeah this game was fucking incredible, probably the best Ace Attorney game yet. I would like to say "make another game with the The Great Ace Attorney cast!", but then the same would happen which had happened with the mainline games, developers having not much freedom because of the fact they have so much to consider from previous entries. But my god....all of the characters in TGAA are so fantastic, I would absolutely LOVE to see them again.

All right, Drebber's Workshop may be my favorite Deduction on a visual spectacle level. But THIS ONE? This one blows it out of the water. Nowhere near as VISUALLY stimulating as Drebber's, but everything else was sublime. The reason why Sholmes had a habit of getting his deductions wildly off the mark was because his ace partner was not there. It took Ryunosuke's corrections afterwards to reach the truth. But with the Great Detective's partner? First try, working together to crack the case. And I won't lie, I teared up a bit when Sholmes said "I never thought I'd get to do this with you again, old friend." If there's one thing Ace Attorney does fantastically, it's showing the bond of best friends. The setting being a callback to our very first meeting with Sholmes was also really well played. Referencing that first meeting with the updated rules about stowing away in luggage and hiding in wardrobes was a fun way to make a joke about it. Being on the ship also served to show just how far we've come. Working alongside Sholmes, investigating cases and bringing the truth to light in court, and the FINAL deduction sequence is in a nearly identical place to where that relationship began. With the brother of one of the crewmen from that same ship to boot. The music? YOU'RE LISTENING TO THIS MASTERPIECE NOW! Best soundtrack in all of Ace Attorney, and this final chapter doesn't hold back the beauty. Mikotoba's tap dancing? Hilarious and absolutely fitting with how whimsical Sholmes has proven to be. Of course his partner would also have a sense of "Do the job. But do it in STYLE!" This may just be The Greatest Ace Attorney.
This truly was one of the best and most epic moments in GAA2, and if you don't know which moment I'm talking about then well, trust me when I say this is a mystery best solved by playing the game blind yourself my dear fellows. I only remember Sholmes's appearance in court, which was probably the turning point in the last case, when listening to this. The feels were present right there: the way he formed his arguments against Stronghart, used the influence of the gallery to continue the trial and even prepared everything in advance as he had already predicted how the trial would go. Absolute brilliant. That also showed how he was only fooling around the entire game, since that was to help Ryunosuke. That as a motive is very reasonable. His whole character turned a complete 180° for me with the final case, NGL. And this music was the core of it all. Even though it only played a few times during the final stretches of the game.

I think they were planning on making it into 3 games at one point, but due to reasons.. they choose against it. That's what i remember reading at one point a few years ago.

It think it completes the melody
The moment this was playing, you just HAD to read it aloud to really make it seem like you were a part of the investigation / deduction.
This was such a powerful moment where 2 best friends reunite after so long, only to just dance away.
“Come Wilson. The game, is afoot!”
I did the exact same thing, how wonderful seeing that someone else did too!
SPOILERS
The Dance of Deduction with Yujin and Sholmes has to be one of my favorite moments in the games. You really see that Sholmes didn't get his title from some silly stories, but because he's genuinely a genius in his deductions, not to mention Yujin's exquisite tap dancing and his own sharp mind at work. Truly incredible.
And then there’s the Hologram and Lord Stronghart. That was seriously one of the best moments in the series.
The slowdown into Tchikens arm code at the end of the sequence is Sholmes using 100% of his brain power.
@@TimBagels I actually had to use Story Mode to figure that one out. I figured out that the tattoo was numbers but I didn’t know the “e” was supposed to be a 2.
Sholmes deduction is OP. All the cases he was investigating separately happens to be linked to whatever cases you were playing which at first you dont see the connection.

ngl, this is kinda bittersweet in a sense that the first time Yujin got to do a case with a friend after a long time, this was also the "end" of another friendship.
Fuck Jigoku
All my homies hate Jigoku
in hindsight, it was very obvious because why would they give him a name if he won't end up either a victim or culprit?
I thoroughly enjoy the idea that they completely perfected the synergy between the two. I don't know how the game did but by God, there is no possible way they could have honored more the legendary duo that is Holmes and Watson.
This was one of the rare moments in all of gaming that is a true and undisputable 10/10 moment that makes games so great.
I hope we get a game like "The Great Ace Attorney investigations: Yujin Mikotoba" that takes place when these two met and all the crazy cases they get involved.

this and Kazuma‘s theme are my favorite tracks on this ost. They’re just incredibly powerful
the plot twists in this game left me breathless man
Yeah this game was fucking incredible, probably the best Ace Attorney game yet.
I would like to say "make another game with the The Great Ace Attorney cast!", but then the same would happen which had happened with the mainline games, developers having not much freedom because of the fact they have so much to consider from previous entries. But my god....all of the characters in TGAA are so fantastic, I would absolutely LOVE to see them again.
this plays on that certain end of chapter....
and thanks to that, this is my best revelation scene i've ever seen in video game

But do it in STYLE!"
This may just be The Greatest Ace Attorney.
Herlock gets his deductions *wrong* to help Ryunosuke improve, tho. Not because he can't do it without Mikotoba lol
I don't think i've ever jammed so hard on a single song.
This truly was one of the best and most epic moments in GAA2, and if you don't know which moment I'm talking about then well, trust me when I say this is a mystery best solved by playing the game blind yourself my dear fellows.
DO NOT spoil yourself within the comments here because this is one of these kinds of games that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I've been replaying Professor Layton VS Ace Attorney, and I was just thinking how amazing it would be to see Layton and Phoenix do a dance of deduction like this.
The hardest part of the game is trying to figure out what number the e in Sholmes is
i thought it was a 6 and was so confused for a while ToT
I thought it was actually an e and put in 5 because e is the fifth letter in the alphabet
i would kill for a great ace attorney investigations game.
