My ws-1040 has recently started to have low volume; I have to have the volume all the way up to barely hear it! I have tried resetting it, new batteries, AC power, and using amplified speakers. Nothing is working. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Why in gods name doesnt anyone know or talk about the SKYWARN button on this thing. When i press the function key then skywarn it says nothing enabled but has no way aparant way to enable one. Well kept secret only uniden knows i guess.

This scanner doesn’t receive phase 2, but does very well on conventional P25 phase 1 and non-simulcast trunked systems.
