Can't wait to see your ride with Phil Gimmon, also don't forget to give the cookie monster, his cookies. Great job in the race and not calling it quits after the crash and even after getting lost.
When you just had a few hundred subscribers I remember I made a comment on one of your videos saying you were a gifted Rider. You can be much better then you think. 👍💛 ..
The BIG BIG problem with courses are the proximity of cyclicts to each others. I should be totaly avoided. Next time, you could have all your teeth glued on the tarmac... It's a shame. It's said. But I love cycling. Thank you a lot for your NATURAL way your make vids and share datas so much transparency. Those infos are a treasure for amateurs! Be careful and continue!
I only recently discovered your channel. Dutch races are insane! I would flee to the safety of any American crit if given the choice. Impressive riding on everyone's part.
Hi Jasper, even een vraagje over de siroko brillen. Ik vindt het egt mooie brillen, alleen heb ik geen credit card of paypal is er een optie voor met ideal te betalen?
Great dedication and motivation to get back in the race JV, as Greg LeMond once said “It never gets easier, you just get faster”. Hows the trusty Canyon? hope there isnt to much damage, maybe a short vlog on the bike and what you have to do after a crash i.e. bike inspection / maintenance would be a good shout for a new video?
No native english speaker here, but i think, some one you thought you could rely on but turns out to be a bit of an backstabber. As with many dutch stuff, it somewhat depends on the context..in which it is used...
Damn bro you got your ass kicked. Good work man. Super strong being able to get back into the race brother. Inspiring. I need to get some racing in next weekend and will remember how much easier our races are vs these your doing with pro guys :) keep the head up your going to be winning one day.
How is riding behind your team car regulated? I get there were some issues that had you behind the main group but can anyone just hang behind their team car to sandbag energy?
That's a shame about the crash. I think that took a lot out of you. I know when I go over the bars I just want to go home. Hope you get a chance to recover well and get your bike repaired before you have to do battle again.😏💪
Maybe look into a different camera with longer battery life. I mean the finish is the best part to watch... good job with the race....way to hang in there.
Wow,man,....that's o.k.,...you did great man, based on what happened,😯😉,hopefully the Canyon is o.k.,man,...that's 'crazy' you're right brake lever/shifter broke, cause mine broke too,When the car hit me on the DA3,😯😫😟😧,......
Good thing you had on full fingered gloves. At 12:00 there is a violation #6 don't have his right bar end cap ;0p ha ha ha Was he in the crash with you?
how did your other team mates finish/place? Can't wait for your video with Phil. You and Phil should make a good video, both of you have a certain rapport with the audience. Phil is funny!
Jasper Verkuijl good! How's your nail? I hope that your bad luck streak will break it seems you have what you need for much better result but something always happens and you loose positions. Also it's a bummer that you couldn't use your best weapon - sprint finish. Don't waste yourself with too many races! 🤘🏻
Do you have a coach? Your strength is that monsterour 20-30 sec sprint power you shown in other vid. I saw in the vid that you were using your precious energy, isn't that supposed to be your teammates' job? These days breakaways rarely are successful, especially the tougher category. Eventually they get caught up by the main group. Which means patience, and depending on the race the last 20km peloton teams attack each other, that's when your teammates are your windshield and help you to preserve every ounce of that precious energy so the last 1km you position very nicely and BAM 2-300 meters you crank out that pro level 1500-1600w to get on the podium. At least that what I see how it always happen in the multiday stage races I enter in my age group.
Shitty organization, as far as security is concerned. There are a few races where I live and the traffic is under control at least for 15-20 minutes *after* the last cyclist has passed.
OMG what a scary ride. Your footage gives a good inside of riding in a peleton. Petje af Jasper.
Great job Jasper! Guts and Determination at its finest!
Great video Jasper! Insane race, so sketchy!
Can't wait to see your ride with Phil Gimmon, also don't forget to give the cookie monster, his cookies. Great job in the race and not calling it quits after the crash and even after getting lost.
I watched the long version, you did well! (and it was good to watch for a trainerroad session!)
Vette shit, Jasper! :) Heb er de ballen verstand van maar vond 'Maatennaaier' wel vet haha! Keep up the good work :)
Road races are dangerous! You have to have your wit about you and a lot of skill! Well done Jasper!!
These are the kind of brutal races Tim Krabbe writes about in The Rider. Awesome footage.
i would have died like ten times in this race
Looks crazy, but also a lot of fun! Well done for getting up and finishing after the crash.
Very good Documentation and Cut!!!!
Sorry to hear about your crash man. Kudos to you for making that huge effort and finishing the race, keep it up!

Wow!!! I'm amazed that you could do a FTP test and then turnaround the next day and do this crazy hard race. You're Animal/beast!!

Hi Jasper, even een vraagje over de siroko brillen. Ik vindt het egt mooie brillen, alleen heb ik geen credit card of paypal is er een optie voor met ideal te betalen?
Great job on the race despite the crash. If you are going to be in LA with Phil, please ride Piuma Road climb so I can see how it is done.
Great work, looking like it was en really big effort getting back in the peleton, good for your mind in upcoming races.
Wow dude, brutal effort!
@Jasper Verkuijl What Sirokos hare those? I can't seem to find the white ones on Sirokos page.
Excellent Effort!

Also Phil Gaimon! Yay I thought Vegan Cyclist had the monopoly with they but turns out there's enough Gaimon for everyone lol
Awesome footage!!👍👍
how would you translate "matineier"?
Jasper Verkuijl matenaaier sounds a lot beter though 😁
Mutineer- as in rebelling against the captain of a ship and taking over maybe?
someone who screws his mates...
No native english speaker here, but i think, some one you thought you could rely on but turns out to be a bit of an backstabber.
As with many dutch stuff, it somewhat depends on the context..in which it is used...
literal translation, "mate fucker" so yeah the meaning is pretty straight forward
Brilliant vlog!
Goed resultaat ondanks de crash Jasper!
"In holland we call this a matennaaier" Hilarisch :P
Damn bro you got your ass kicked. Good work man. Super strong being able to get back into the race brother. Inspiring. I need to get some racing in next weekend and will remember how much easier our races are vs these your doing with pro guys :) keep the head up your going to be winning one day.
You definitely are leaner. Keep smashing.
wow what a crazy race.. well done, would have been huge effort

Great result considering the carnage. Well done mate.👍
cool shit dude! epic race. have fun with phil!
15:44 why would you drop your bottle into the peloton and not throw it on the side!?
Maybe look into a different camera with longer battery life. I mean the finish is the best part to watch... good job with the race....way to hang in there.
Snelle Jelle! The power of Holland!
As always positive mindset 👍😎
Hope the car owner wasn’t too upset after you lot hit their car, they might be asking for your insurance if they see this vlog!

Really cool channel!
Jasper like this race is dengerese i think do not do it again !
Wow that just looks incredibly sketchy can’t believe the race is run on roads like that
Why u do the test before the race? It is angersous in the peloton
Jasper Verkuijl it is better to skip the test
how did your other team mates finish/place?
Can't wait for your video with Phil. You and Phil should make a good video, both of you have a certain rapport with the audience. Phil is funny!
Dang bro that was a tough one
Nice one again.
What a terrible course/traffic control :(
extreme racing :)
I'm going to ask only one thing: was that drafting legal?! 🤔
Jasper Verkuijl good! How's your nail? I hope that your bad luck streak will break it seems you have what you need for much better result but something always happens and you loose positions. Looks like this race needs some improvements :))
very nice VDO

Cycling fanatics!!!
What do you scream at other cyclists? "keep your line", "I'm here" or something like that?
Wat even beelden!!!
Shitty organization, as far as security is concerned. There are a few races where I live and the traffic is under control at least for 15-20 minutes *after* the last cyclist has passed.
Whats up CYCLING FANATIC!!!! want me to kiss that lil finger all better??!!...HAHA!!!!!!..:D good job bro!!
I notice that your bad habith is going on right side of road. Its wrong side for passing troug cyclist.
more street furniture than the ENECO Tour
You mean Brinkbank?
DundonianRider something like that
Terribly organised event...
