    I've been watching videos on how to set up a pressure washing trailer for hours and your video was very unique and helpful! You made points that no one else talked about like where and why to locate components. Awesome job! Thank you!!

    Excellent video about some of the idiosyncrasies of setting up shop for pressure washing. You mentioned a lot of things the average “newby” might not think of initially.

    I live in Nicholasville, I'm a lawn service and I'm adding pressure washing to my services to pick up some more work, I would love to pick your brain with a few questions so I could have a head start. I don't have the equipment like you, I just plan on doing residential.

    I’m working on setting up a trailer now. Would you happen to have the model numbers of both of those hose reels. That’s exactly what I need. Mainly the supply line hose is that the hundred foot or the 250 foot reel ?

    Noob question, do you use a water tank because you’re using a high volume pump that could draw more water than the customers source can supply and don’t want to run the risk of damaging the pump with a low water volume source? Very curious to know this.

    • @kingofpressurewash
      @kingofpressurewash  5 лет назад +1

      WouldntChaLike2Know ! So we can do use a water tank for that reason but you can run a hose straight up to about 5.5 GPM .
      The biggest reason we run a water tank is so it don't over heat when running but not flowing. With a water tank it will dump back into tank and not overheat
      Here is a video I talk about it

    If I have a 4gpm 4200 psi machine should I not even consider soft washing or have buffer tanks? Since it’s not belt driven

    I had a residential pressure washing company in Florida for 10 years and never had a big water tank. I always used the customers water. What is the big water tank for? Is it water only?

    • @kingofpressurewash
      @kingofpressurewash  4 года назад +1

      It is for water and you are correct. I use a lot of small tanks now

      You may need it if a well or water main is super slow.35-50 gallon is plenty for a 4-5.5 gpm

    I’m setting up a buffer tank now. I put my Hudson float valve through the lid to give me more water volume. Shouldn’t I also put a vent on the top of the tank?

    Hi Mike, thanks so much for all the great videos. I'm setting up an enclosed trailer for part time house washing. Been washing for about 3 years part time with a northern tool 4000 psi 4000 gpm machine with the X jet. I'm thinking of going to a 5.5 gpm minute machine with a buffer tank. My question is, will I be selling myself short with a 2500 psi 5.5 gpm machine? I do 99 percent residential homes. I would like to start down streaming instead of X jetting. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Thanks for the video, you say you go from garden hose reel , to tank, to pump, would you do the same in a urban area where water is available or would yo go directly to your pump & bi pass the tank. Also want are the hose reel$ worth? Thanks

  • @nickcandiano9638
    @nickcandiano9638 5 лет назад +2

    Some nice points, except the point about the size of the pressure washer. You can still get a lot done with a 3 GPM machine and it's much more affordable to start out that way. Doing this on the side I've invested a very small amount of capitol compared to what you have there - flat bed truck (overkill for anyone who doesn't do this every single day), water tank, hose reels and the whole bit. Maybe you should specify in your title "Basics for a Commercial Setup" - so you don't have this confusion in the future.

    • @kingofpressurewash
      @kingofpressurewash  5 лет назад +1

      im not confusing nobody. Set it up as a professional with hose reels and stuff so you can do house washing more efficient. Not saying you have to but this is how you do $1500-2000 dollars days

      Power Washing hey let me ask you. Is the tank your main water source? Or do you the tank to buffet and get the water from the location. Is it professional to use a water source at the owners house

    Hey Michael, What size flatbed is that W'xL'? What gallon tank is that? I have a 7x14 enclosed trailer that got me by the last 2 years but im going the flatbed route this year. Im looking at a F250 7.3 diesel with 8ft flat bed right now. I have 2 cold water units right now(8 and 6.5gpm). I watched all your videos probably 2 or 3 times each as I am a up and comer and look up to your success. Seeing all your videos and all the neat little tricks and new/different types of equipment... I was wondering what ones you stuck with and use to date??(aka dual feed your pump, down streaming setups, caged tanks vs legged tanks, downstream bypass, jrod vs mjet, etc etc lol). Again, I am just curious on a overall look of all your instructional and experimental videos which ones stick and work for you today. Thanks and Happy Holidays from DLC Power Washing Goldsboro NC!
