    UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust ruclips.net/user/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.

    I’d strap down any hard line hoses. The primary blue hose going to the buffer tank up top, the feeder line going to the machine, the high pressure line going from the machine to the reel. They seem fine just hanging out but during drive time and site time running, the vibrations can cause the low pressure lines to jump around enough to crack their connection to the pvc which could either destroy your pump if they leak and you don’t notice while working or even if you do, that’s now down time to repair it. The high pressure line I would distance it away from any metal that it can rub against then blow the line. The fuel tank I’d ratchet strap down for the same reasons as the pvc, the bungee cord allows it to shift back and forth while traveling and with the tank hitting the eye hooks or frame it can create a crack. If when strapped down it touches a hook, cut a large pool noodle (blue since it’s a relatable color for this line of work ;-) ) down the center and wrap it around the hooks then zip tie it. Fuel line, I’d wrap it with a larger size fuel line if it lays on anything so the larger line takes the rubbing. With that small job drop tube, flush it out with fresh water and leave it in a small bucket with a lid, I see it damaging your deck already. Last thing I’d like to say is take full advantage of your ramp, keep it in the upright position and add painted 2x4’s to the top and bottom with short pvc tubes attached to it and insert brooms, wands, extensions, flat shovels, whatever you may need. It’s a Great Wall for skinny items. None of this is said with insult to the build or any negative way, just some things I noticed so I thought I’d mention it to a fellow cleaner to hopefully help make your life a little easier when cleaning. #WashOn

    New to this and just have a few questions. Why do you need the 12volt system if you have a down stream hook up? Can you soft wash with just a power washer if so what is the advantage of a 12volt pump doing it? When you soft wash do you just use the 12volt to spray chemicals and power washer to rinse off or do you rinse off with the 12volt? Thanks the trailer looks great !

    • @ExpertPowerWash
      @ExpertPowerWash  3 года назад +2

      You will get a lot of different answers depending on who you ask. The power washer is used for downstreaming and rinsing. You will only at best get a 1% mix from this way. Downstreaming is best for pretreatment of concrete and house washing. You can soft wash with a power washer if using the proper tips to lower the pressure. At this point it’s more about volume than pressure. At 8 gallons a minute, you can shoot around three stories high. This keeps you safely on the ground. A 12 volt is used when you need a stronger mix but won’t shoot as high. I use the 12 volt mainly for roofs and post treatment. Hope this helps. I would recommend search on PWRA for more info. Make sure to be very careful with FB groups. A lot of new guys on there proclaiming to be pros. Rob Anderson is another great guy to follow on YT. I appreciate the comments.

    For that drop stick, the way you set it up allows for no chemicals to run through your engine?

    • @ExpertPowerWash
      @ExpertPowerWash  4 года назад +2

      Correct. It pulls after the engine and the pump. Most big box store pressure washers have the injector attached to the pump. That’s why the pumps fail. Chemicals corrode the pumps quick.

    Great content! Building my first trailer right now. I'm wondering why you and 2 others guys I have seen have 8 gpm and went with the 19" whisper wash classic. I have read the rule of thumb is for every gpm 4". 4x8=32. Wouldn't even going with 24" speed things up for you?

    • @ExpertPowerWash
      @ExpertPowerWash  4 года назад

      Thank you for commenting. The rules for surface cleaners are more relevant to the smaller machines. Example, you wouldn’t want to go over a 16 in for a 4 GPM. The 19 in whisper wash has been absolutely perfect. It goes fast and and does well in smaller spaces.

    I didn't see a battery charger anywhere. Do you drag a charger out to the trailer each night or haul the better in? Also, the Flexzilla hoses - I cannot stess how much I LOVE THOSE HOSES! Highly visible - if a lawn service comes to mow while you are working, I seriously doubt they will hit this hose - it just stands out loud and proud. The color is so loud it needs a volume control knob! They are pretty much 99.9% kink free, drinking water safe, about 30-40% lighter than most other hoses which matters if you have a ground person hauling a hose around rinsing all day while roof washing/Soft Washing. As my other hoses die off, Flexzilla is the only replacement for me. You can also buy Flexzilla hose in a 1,000 ft. reel (I think?) and make custom lengths. Instead of a drop stick for the chemical tank, why not put in a bulkhead and permeant draw tube and leave it connected full time? If you do this, plumb the fittings on the TOP of the tank. This way you won't ever end up accidentally hitting the bulkhead and breaking it, and leaking your SH in the customers yard/driveway or driving down the road. If you have an issue with the connections with top plumbing, you're not at risk of leaking anything. You can put in a 3-way valve if you ever have any issues priming the pump. This will allow you to keep the tank lid capped so you don't collect leaves and other debris in your tank in the fall which could run through your pump. I personally like to mount my 12 volt pumps with the pump head down so if it ever develops a leak it cannot run into the pump motor. Love the addition of the vice - great idea! I'd use the trailer gate in the rear to put some PVC piping to hold things like rakes, brooms, etc. And the back can be used to mount a sign for advertising while driving down the road. Cheap advertisement! I'd also strap the PW gas tank down more securely. The existing strap will allow it to move while you are driving and it may damage the tank and cause a leak. The bungee cord will weaken over time , heat and sunlight, and probably gas fumes too. Home Depot has water tight lids for normal sized lids for your 5 gallon bucket. I think I paid $5 to $7 for mine. It snaps in securely, and has an easy spin top with a gasket which seals a lot better than you think so you don't need to empty your 5 gallon bucket before traveling to the next job. Also great for keeping gutter brightening chemicals in for storage between jobs. They keep these with the 5 gallon buckets at HD. I would personally put something under the Titan reels to boost their height so the bottom reel is easier to wind up. Winding up the hose is the worst part of the day for me. I'm tired, and my reel sucks, but then again my hose reel is old and overdue for a visit to the dumpster and I'll be replacing it with a Titan 18". Overall though, a rather impressive trailer build. Nicely done!

      Thanks EPW - Not so much as how I have mine set up as just things I've learned along the way from reading, watching video's and being observant, and being more than a touch OCD about everything. Even if I do something 180 degrees different, I can still find something to learn in a lot of videos. I'm finally at a point that I can start putting my profits back into the business now that I have that financial monkey off my back. I'm a Soft Washer that is currently one-batching on an old trailer and my hose reel and stand are badly in need of replacement. I have had great training, so I still win most jobs I compete on. I just got a new to me Silverado 2500 HD Crew Cab and will be rebuilding my system to mount in the back of my truck piece by piece with a metering valve blended set up, booster pump, and a mid-range 4 GPM pressure washer for the time being. This is a side job that I'm growing, so I am primarily doing roof cleaning. Every Tom, Dick & Harry with a pressure washer thinks they can do professional cleaning and lowball jobs all over the place so I'm perfectly content at the moment on roofs, plus I enjoy roof cleaning more than house washing. The TD&H group seldom try to compete with me in roof cleaning, and even if they lowball, my training allows me to talk circles around them all day long so I usually get the job at a higher price anyway on the trust factor. Being OCD makes me excel in this line of business. :0) One day down the road I may splurge for a trailer build similar to yours though. There is no denying how fast you can do a house wash with a rig like that.

    • @ExpertPowerWash
      @ExpertPowerWash  4 года назад +1

      Appreciate the comments. As long as you have a belt drive pressure washer, it will suck water. A direct drive pressure washer is the most common type. They can also work but must be level with the tank for the gravity of the water to flow to the pump. Stick with a belt drive and you will be better off. Hope that helps.

      William Coley, thanks for watching. I have never used a foam cannon, I’ve heard of it and seen a few videos. Downstreaming is the way to go for me. I use the General Pump high draw chemical injector. I can dilute my 12.5 SH 2 parts SH 1 part water with 1 oz of Elemonator per gallon if that makes sense. This works 95% of the time. Very rarely I run it straight if the house is really bad.
