The flexzilla hose comes with a quick connect which can be hooked to a standard water gun, Works pretty well, you can pick them up in the garden section of most Walmart stores or online.
Are you batch feeding your soft wash? I see you have that wye fitting from the SH tank. Is that a branch going to your surfactant? Are your mixing with that set up?
Lol, thank you my friend, I only do residential properties 2 stories max, this little package has been working out great. Honesty even though I didn't spend much and have a cheaper little set up, you could get by with way less to start. Take care .... HSPW
This set up is awesome! My set up will be very similar to this without a doubt. People are scared that if they don't have a huge rig that they will not get jobs and that is just not true. That swivel that you have on top of your large tank is genius. I may reach out to you when it comes time to put my truck together because I know nothing about the plumbing which is the scariest part and you just built a $2000 gen 2 soft wash system for less than $350 😯 Glad that I found your page can't wait to see your company grow thanks for posting!
This is awesome man! Currently trying to work something like this into my truck bed right now. Are you just adding surfactant to the bleach or not using it at all. Thanks for the awesome video!
Thank you very much, I am just doing small homes and driveway as a part time job so I am only using 10.5% sh with no surfactants added, I was able to keep everything right at or around 2000 but could have saved a bit more if I had thought it out better, it doesn't take a big set up to get going. Best of luck. Have a great new year . 🇺🇸
Using my 12 volt softwash system is taking way too long to pre rinse and rinse houses. Do you use your pressure washer for pre rinsing and finish rinsing?
I no longer have my 12v system hooked up as I found very little need for it for simple house washes and driveways, I get everything done just fine with the pressure washer, ... So yes I do everything with just the pressure washer, if I do need a stronger mix for some odd job that pops up only takes a few minutes to throw it back in the truck.
Why do I only see soft washing of roofs and not sidewalks and driveways. It seems to me cement tile roofs are about the same as driveways and sidewalks. But I see driveways and sidewalks being done with the pressure washer. What am I missing?
hey so nice and clear you video men but im still wondering to get soft a pressure washing you atelast need 3 hose or just 2 just like you because right now i dont understand the system how you fill it up your tank i really aprecciate if you can breck that doen for me men thanks a lot for this video.
Thank you very much, still learning and growing every day, I have updated a few minor changes to the set up but over all it is working out pretty well as it is.
Nice lean and mean set up. Is your pressure washer drawing water from the bulk tank or direct from customers water outlet? If so how is it working any starving problems with pressure washer?
Thank you, i usually draw from the customer, I have drawn water a couple times from my 35 buffer for a some smaller jobs without any problems but I try not to just incase, And actually probably won't do it to often in the future if I can avoid it, I need to get a belt drive set up.
I really enjoyed the video. I am looking to mount my 5gpm pressure washer in my truck bed with my hose reel and 200 feet of hose. How did you mount this to your bed? Thanks in advance!
For now the two reels and 12v pump are mounted on a 2x4ft plywood platform, I plan to mount the reels on the right side rail soon just trying to figure out how I would like to build it. I'll shoot another video very soon and go over a few additions and changes I've made since this upload ...
Yes, I just hooked them together using a double female connector. The double female connections allow the hose to roll up smoother and less leaking possibilities than using the quick connections that come on them. So far it has worked just fine .
Sorry I missed your question. One reel is for my high pressure pressure washer hose, one is for my 12v set up, the PW hose can only pull 10% SH, if I need a stronger mix of SH I pull out the 12v which allows me to shoot anything from water to straight SH. Hope that helped.
The tank is being used as a soft wash tank, and once hooked up a buffer for the pressure washer, I have used it a few times as a pressure washing tank without a water hook up, it is risky, you need to have the tank above the pressure washer water intake in order for it to flow if you have a pressure washer like mine, if you have a belt drive then it will just draw the water for you.
Lol, all good, we have a new vette now, the black one got totalled last month, we have a bright yellow one now. That Dewalt is a beast I love it, plenty of power for everything I am doing, Still a little slow as I am PT and with this covid bs it has everyone hiding, heck I'm showering in SH all day, I'm sure I'm well disinfected lol ... Take care my friend, be safe ..
Sorry slow response, I just go straight 10.5 sh, doing house washes and hard surfaces only. Haven't had any issues at all. Don't need all the fancy stuff. Just GET'R DONE.
Hey I had a question! What’s the black object that’s on the bleach tank for ? Do you drop in your sticks in there to pull your chemical or does it pull it from the bottom bulkhead? Thanks in advance
Looking for Insight and advice. I've been watching a lot of SoftWash videos over the last week, and I've got a glimmer of hope but I'm noticing many of the youtuber's have affiliate links, and or sell cleaners/chemicals/products, or systems, and I'm wondering if a Starter Upper can make money with the Actual Soft Washing of houses, or is the money coming from selling systems, chemicals, and youtube ads. I just would hate to invest into a truck, a system, and a year or two of my life for something that doesn't manifest into actual money and a career, I'd hate to put my loves ones and myself through that. I'm looking for honest answer from someone in the know. Thank you and I appreciate it.
Well you came to the right spot. I won't bullshit you. My goal was to do strictly residential homes driveways decks and such NO ROOFS, I was never aiming to do big business and go all out. I invested a little over 2500 into my set up and got the basics of what I knew I needed to get 90% of the PW work done I know I wanted to do, It was slow to start BUT ONLY because of my lack of effort in advertising as I was still unsure of my abilities. I had worked for a large PW company and knew I could do the work but didn't want to overwhelm myself and get over my head. I now have a few dozen jobs behind me Which is not much compared to many chasing the big bucks, my first couple dozen where all simple house & driveway knockouts which paid pretty damn nice for a couple hours work. I would say all my equipment was paid off in the first 8 jobs I did, several months ago I did a 25,558 sq ft 2 story hotel SOLO with my set up in only 6 hours that alone doubled what I had in my business ... So YES there is very big money to be made very fast doing just residential or smaller commercial jobs. But with PW you have to be constantly chasing the work the easiest way is just taking the time to put signs out which I failed to do several times and instantly saw the decline in calls. If you re invest off your jobs and keep those signs out often as possible you WILL make great money. And you do not have to do anything more than the basic residential PW jobs to make it.
Side note. Yesterday I received a call to do all the curbs in a very nice neighborhood. I DECLINED, I purchased a direct drive PW which needs to be hosed in limiting my abilities. If I would have purchased the belt drive for a few 100 more I could have used a water tank and done the job and likely picking up many of the homes in the neighborhood as well. But again I am ok with that as I have other things I do. Get a belt drive and a good water tank and THERE'S NO STOPPING YOU
The flexzilla is also 3 x 50 foot lengths, that way I only need to pull out and use the minimal amount needed to reach my customers water hook up. I no longer use the hose reel for my intake hoses I just grab a 50 footer or more as needed.
Why can't you just use the pressure washer to do it all?? Can't you just use a different nozzle to control the flow and regulate the pressure? Just curious. Seems like a waste of money on the soft wash set up,when you have a pressure washer. Nice set up by the way.Are could you just use the X-jet to apply and rinse with the p,w?
I use the 12v system mainly to pre soak driveways or odd jobs, Or soaping and rinsing the cars and other light duty jobs, also I can apply a stronger soap or chem when needed, And lastly the $100 12v saves chem from having to go through my $1000 PW as often. Ron J the ball valve is rated for 5000 psi, and is pretty solid, had a few Orings blow out but that's about it,
@@MDCF1565 If you put a plug(like the end that goes into the pressure washing gun) in the end of the ball valve it'll keep your o-rings from blowing out.
Hey, man. I was worried something happened until I saw you responded to a comment recently. Im starting a similar transition in business and wondered if you had any tips for us since this video was made, if you have you stayed busy this last year, and equipment experiences? 🙏
I do have a few other things I do so the pressure washing was always part time for me, however YES in the first couple months I was easily able to pay for all of my equipment, I knocked out a 25,558 sq ft hotel SOLO in 6 hours with the equipment I have in the video, to be completely honest I personally do not put the advertisement effort to draw more business but if YOU did, you can make an excellent paycheck in pressure washing and soft wash, the equipment itself still works as well as the day I bought it, the Dewalt 4400 Cranks right up on the first pull every time even after over a years use, just a week ago did 2 home/driveway cleanings for just under 500 each small places but it is still paying for itself many times over, ... As far as personal updates lol 😆, Welllllll .... A couple weeks ago ( Friday) I was rear-ended in my work truck, it knocked my equipment around in the truck, the following Monday still rattled from the accident my head was not in what I was doing and I went to check my equipment stuck my hand directly over the nozzle of my surface cleaner and blew a hole almost all the way through my left palm, I ripped a hole in my palm, ripped the Ulnar nerve completely through, ripped my hipotherior muscles, and the 4400 psi pressure cracked my metocarpal bone between the pinky and palm, the water pressure injecting into my hand blew my hand up like a balloon ripping the skin from the muscle tissue across the whole top of my hand, the ulnar nerves where hanging out the hole. Needless to say it hurt like Phuk. So between the car accident and followed by shredding my left hand I'm out of action for a little while. I need a desk job lol, I feel like I've been run over and blown up. ... Lol, maybe because I just was .... Be safe and keep you head in the game, Even that 4400 psi is enough to do serious damage my hand has lost most of its feeling and some use and will likely take a very long time if ever to recover fully Take care my friend. And be safe. Oh and LGB FJB 😉.
Goodness dude, that's rough. Hope you've kept your spirits up in the hard recovery. Also hope your future has developed to a more fun place. Good luck out there!
nice man we got like the same setup! I am runing a siamese kit that connects two 4gpm pressure washers into 8gpm way cheaper, and same effect. What size is ur buffer tank??
Sweet, you're a bit ahead of me, I am still just drawing from the customer with no buffer, I would like to get a belt drive soon then I will plumb a buffer. If you have some videos up I'll swing in and check them out. Always trying to learn.
Honestly I would have no idea, I'm a newbie as well and have not tried 3/4 inch on my set up to see the difference so I wouldn't be able to give you an honest answer on that, I would assume it would allow more flow as long as your 12v pump is a high enough gpm mine is a 5.5 gpm, I do not do roofs i only use my 12v for a hotter SH mix if needed for trouble spots.
Guess it would depend on how you have things set up and what pressure washer you are using, I no longer carry the large 30 or 35 gal unless needed, everything I've cleaned so far the small 5 gal containers have been more than enough SH to do the job, even the 50,000+ sq ft hotel i just did used under 10 gal of SH downstreaming through my 4gpm 4400 psi .
Sorry not sure what you mean by the question, but I do not fill up my tanks with water they are used to hold SH and the water is supplied directly to the pressure washer by the Flexilla hoses. Thank you for watching If you have any other questions feel free to hit me up.
Sorry it took so long to respond, I really don't have an honest recommendation I can give you as I have only used the one I have, I selected it based on my cost restraints more than anything else. I will get the name and link for you.
There was a "special needs" man a round these parts that would come by washing houses , he'd use his chemicals and he brought his own hoses and brushes, but used your water spickot and your water, Done a great job and was reasonably priced.
Sorry for the late response, I normally only use the water tank with my 12v set up, once I get a belt drive I will set up a small 35 gal buffer tank for the pressure washer.

Thank you very much, I still have a few more things I need as well, I'm fairly new to softwash and still figuring things out, I wish you the best of luck on your set up and new business. 👍
Good for you man, nicely thought out and lay out. You’ll do well. Sorry to hear about your injuries .
Thank you very much, trying to keep it as simple as possible ...
Less repairs and costs ...
Thanks for sharing and God Bless you sir🙏🏿
You are welcome, thank you very much for watching, and God bless you as well Sir ...
Great cid, what size soft wash hose do you use? I’m a little confused it seems like some guys use 3/8 and others 1/2”. I’ll be usi a 5gpm pump. Thanks
I like it. Nice set up.
Thank you very much. Trying to keep it simple, ...
thank you for watching, Stay safe.

Is that the flex holes Zillah nazzle kit locate to connect to the regular garden sprayer for the half inch Zilla hose For soft wash
The flexzilla hose comes with a quick connect which can be hooked to a standard water gun,
Works pretty well, you can pick them up in the garden section of most Walmart stores or online.
nice setup. would you mind sharing the parts you have on the drum?
Great hose reel
Are you batch feeding your soft wash? I see you have that wye fitting from the SH tank. Is that a branch going to your surfactant? Are your mixing with that set up?
Keping it simple.. i like it... The average joe can relate.. Subscribed.. Thanks
Lol, thank you my friend, I only do residential properties 2 stories max, this little package has been working out great. Honesty even though I didn't spend much and have a cheaper little set up, you could get by with way less to start.
Take care .... HSPW
Hey where did you buy the high pressure reel for $120 I can't find any decent one under $300. Nice setup by the way.
Nice video bud...very informative 👍
Thank you very much,
Still learning as I go and having a lot of fun with this new business.
Nice setup what be the difference if it’s a belt drive system
Genius set up. My only question is how does he measure the SH% going through the soft wash system?
If you had to use customer water, how do you connect it to your skid?
This set up is awesome! My set up will be very similar to this without a doubt. People are scared that if they don't have a huge rig that they will not get jobs and that is just not true. That swivel that you have on top of your large tank is genius. I may reach out to you when it comes time to put my truck together because I know nothing about the plumbing which is the scariest part and you just built a $2000 gen 2 soft wash system for less than $350 😯 Glad that I found your page can't wait to see your company grow thanks for posting!
@@MDCF1565 You're welcome bro!
This is awesome man! Currently trying to work something like this into my truck bed right now. Are you just adding surfactant to the bleach or not using it at all. Thanks for the awesome video!
Thank you very much,
I am just doing small homes and driveway as a part time job so I am only using 10.5% sh with no surfactants added,
I was able to keep everything right at or around 2000 but could have saved a bit more if I had thought it out better, it doesn't take a big set up to get going.
Best of luck.
Have a great new year . 🇺🇸
Great video
Thank you very much.
Is the soft wash hose just a regular garden hose? Does it have to be anything special?
@@MDCF1565 Thanks.
hey so nice and clear you video men but im still wondering to get soft a pressure washing you atelast need 3 hose or just 2 just like you because right now i dont understand the system how you fill it up your tank i really aprecciate if you can breck that doen for me men thanks a lot for this video.
I appreciate the content
Thank you very much,
Hopefully my cheap little set up can help someone else start out.
This video was very helpful man
Thank you very much, still learning and growing every day,
I have updated a few minor changes to the set up but over all it is working out pretty well as it is.
Nice lean and mean set up. Is your pressure washer drawing water from the bulk tank or direct from customers water outlet? If so how is it working any starving problems with pressure washer?
Thank you, i usually draw from the customer, I have drawn water a couple times from my 35 buffer for a some smaller jobs without any problems but I try not to just incase,
And actually probably won't do it to often in the future if I can avoid it, I need to get a belt drive set up.
Nice set up!!
Very good video! .. Do you have a link of where I can buy the hose reel? Thank you in advance!
Thank you,,
I am sorry I don't think I do have that link still, it is a General Pump Hose Reel
I may have ordered it from the powerwashstore.com
How do you get 150 ft of hose did you connect 3 50 ft together of the armor guard
Yes, I just hooked them together using a double female connector.
The double female connections allow the hose to roll up smoother and less leaking possibilities than using the quick connections that come on them.
So far it has worked just fine .
Why two different reels? Do both spray chemical and water?
Sorry I missed your question.
One reel is for my high pressure pressure washer hose, one is for my 12v set up, the PW hose can only pull 10% SH, if I need a stronger mix of SH I pull out the 12v which allows me to shoot anything from water to straight SH.
Hope that helped.
Where’d you get the reels at?
Just 1 question? How do you get the water from a tank using the power washer? As far as I know is bad fir the machine to not having flowing water
Nice Corvette! Lol off subject sorry. I am buying the same dewalt washer.. since it's been a few months how is everything going?
Lol, all good, we have a new vette now, the black one got totalled last month, we have a bright yellow one now. That Dewalt is a beast I love it, plenty of power for everything I am doing,
Still a little slow as I am PT and with this covid bs it has everyone hiding, heck I'm showering in SH all day, I'm sure I'm well disinfected lol ...
Take care my friend, be safe ..
efficient setup.
Can I ask how you regulate the flow of SH if you wanted a stronger or weaker mix. I might have missed it. Cheers
Sorry slow response, the black tube is just to hold my drop sticks out the way.
@@MDCF1565 thank you man!!!
Does your flexzilla say air on it? Can’t find 100’ of 1/2” without it saying air.
Yea I’m looking for the 100’ without having to connect them.
I now have a few dozen jobs behind me
Which is not much compared to many chasing the big bucks, my first couple dozen where all simple house & driveway knockouts which paid pretty damn nice for a couple hours work.
I DECLINED,
I purchased a direct drive PW which needs to be hosed in limiting my abilities.
If I would have purchased the belt drive for a few 100 more I could have used a water tank and done the job and likely picking up many of the homes in the neighborhood as well.
But again I am ok with that as I have other things I do.
Get a belt drive and a good water tank and THERE'S NO STOPPING YOU
We're do you buy the 200 ft flexzilla hose at?
The flexzilla is also 3 x 50 foot lengths, that way I only need to pull out and use the minimal amount needed to reach my customers water hook up.
I no longer use the hose reel for my intake hoses I just grab a 50 footer or more as needed.
Sweet setup man!!
Thank you very much, i was on a tight budget ..
Where did you find 1/2 inch flexzilla? Is it labeled as air hose?
Amazon Flexzilla Pro Air Hose, Bulk Plastic Spool, 1/2 in. x 250 ft, Heavy Duty, Lightweight, Hybrid, ZillaGreen - HFZ12250YW
Why can't you just use the pressure washer to do it all?? Can't you just use a different nozzle to control the flow and regulate the pressure? Just curious. Seems like a waste of money on the soft wash set up,when you have a pressure washer. Nice set up by the way.Are could you just use the X-jet to apply and rinse with the p,w?
xjet is fine for houses but for roofs, definitely limited. overall its mainly a convenience issue
Need a soft wash system for roofs. Xjet can do everything else. Downstreaming works for siding.
@@bol.8749 Appreciate the info, still got a lot to learn.
I use the 12v system mainly to pre soak driveways or odd jobs,
Or soaping and rinsing the cars and other light duty jobs, also I can apply a stronger soap or chem when needed,
And lastly the $100 12v saves chem from having to go through my $1000 PW as often.
As far as personal updates lol 😆,
Welllllll ....
A couple weeks ago ( Friday) I was rear-ended in my work truck, it knocked my equipment around in the truck, the following Monday still rattled from the accident my head was not in what I was doing and I went to check my equipment stuck my hand directly over the nozzle of my surface cleaner and blew a hole almost all the way through my left palm,
I ripped a hole in my palm, ripped the Ulnar nerve completely through, ripped my hipotherior muscles, and the 4400 psi pressure cracked my metocarpal bone between the pinky and palm, the water pressure injecting into my hand blew my hand up like a balloon ripping the skin from the muscle tissue across the whole top of my hand, the ulnar nerves where hanging out the hole.
Needless to say it hurt like Phuk.
So between the car accident and followed by shredding my left hand I'm out of action for a little while.
I need a desk job lol,
I feel like I've been run over and blown up. ...
Lol, maybe because I just was ....
Be safe and keep you head in the game,
Even that 4400 psi is enough to do serious damage my hand has lost most of its feeling and some use and will likely
take a very long time if ever to recover fully
Take care my friend.
And be safe.
Oh and LGB FJB 😉.
Goodness dude, that's rough. Hope you've kept your spirits up in the hard recovery.
Also hope your future has developed to a more fun place. Good luck out there!
The dewalt is a honda GX390 ?
Nice video nice guy
nice man we got like the same setup!
Where you get those fitting on the flexilla hose boss.
If you are on about the green nozzle, they come with the hose package.
They are garbage i threw them away ...
I am just starting to build my soft wash system. I was thinking of using 3/4 hose for better flow. Would that actually be better than the 1/2" hose?
Honestly I would have no idea, I'm a newbie as well and have not tried 3/4 inch on my set up to see the difference so I wouldn't be able to give you an honest answer on that, I would assume it would allow more flow as long as your 12v pump is a high enough gpm mine is a 5.5 gpm, I do not do roofs i only use my 12v for a hotter SH mix if needed for trouble spots.
Physics says if your pump is 1/2 inch, using 3/4 will have zero effect.
sweet
Thank you.
Where did you get that 2 way valve that connect to the pump?
The little black two way valve was purchased from home depot it is one of the plastic garden hose two way splitters.
Awesome simple set up (KISS keep it simple stupid) I always say ... definitely subscribe to you channel as I do the same work and Metal detect....
Where do you find this setup
does it matter if the water tank is gravity fed or not?
Guess it would depend on how you have things set up and what pressure washer you are using, I no longer carry the large 30 or 35 gal unless needed, everything I've cleaned so far the small 5 gal containers have been more than enough SH to do the job, even the 50,000+ sq ft hotel i just did used under 10 gal of SH downstreaming through my 4gpm 4400 psi .
do you take off the gun from garden hose to fill up your water?
Sorry not sure what you mean by the question, but I do not fill up my tanks with water they are used to hold SH and the water is supplied directly to the pressure washer by the Flexilla hoses.
Thank you for watching
If you have any other questions feel free to hit me up.
Hudson valve is a waste of money. Drill a hole in the top side of the tank and let the overflow discharge to the street.

Yes, Amazon. That is what I plan on using (1/2 Flex).
Any issues getting good pressure with gravity fed setup ?
There was a "special needs" man a round these parts that would come by washing houses , he'd use his chemicals and he brought his own hoses and brushes, but used your water spickot and your water, Done a great job and was reasonably priced.
