Great real world video! My last day at my “job” is tomorrow. Truck paid for, all equipment paid for. 5.5 gpm belt drive PW. Getting affordable signs on truck Monday. Hopefully I’ll be ready to rock and roll by Wednesday. I already have about $2000 of work lined up.
LFG!
Good luck you’ve got this dawg
How is it going for you so far?
How has work been so far?
A month later how's it going
Great video! I’ve been doing this for 3 years now. I started off bery small. I’m now building a 6x12 trailer.
Knowledge of your equipment and chemicals and MARKETING will build a successful business.
Have a great day, Tristan!
Appreciate you fammo!
Spot on what you said. Let’s get it🔥🔥🔥
great video again my man. this answered a lot of the questions I had and also helps give me and probably a lot of others that use you tube as a great resource and you have been nothing short of amazing helping us.
Amazing fam,
Glad it helped.
Appreciate your comment, made my day!
Thank you brotha🙏 most helpful video I’ve found
My G!
You’ve got this✊🏼
Good video man I remember when I was trying to figure everything out lol!
Dude it was a foreign language!
The hose going from your water hose reel to the tank . I installed a inline 40 mesh before the water storage tank I noticed well water customers could put dirt in the tank . I also have a inline filter before the pressure washer leaving the water storage tank . I've noticed my water is cleaner for sure in and out the tanks
Like it!
Awesome video thank you for the information
Of course my G!
Great video son and I looking to start presher washing in California. Done a few jobs need to upgrade a few things. Thanks
Amazing, you've got this G!
Great information
My G
birds and bees lesson cracked me up
Nice video very informative for beginners appreciate it just wondering what type of battery would you recommend for an electric start pressure washer thanks
My G!
And I use a marine battery from Walmart
thank you so much for this information it really helps us out alot more than you expect. God bless you tristan thank you for sharing info worth millions for free. can you do a starter kit setup since you mention one like this is not needed to start? with 1000 budget?
My G!
Love it.
Yeah I’ll make an extreme budget build video!
Hey Tristan you’re the goat, man! Do you recommend using the Dow streamer built into the machine or is it better to buy an injector so the solution isn’t as watered down? I don’t have a lot of money to get started so I was thinking of using the one on the pressure washer for siding and then just using a pump sprayer for concrete.
Try it out!
If it’s effective keep it,
But if it’s not, I’d definitely go the injector route👍🏼 (my personal fav)
Good luck my G🤝
@@Tristan.Kalina thanks for the response. One more question…by using a down dean injector right next to the gun, do you pull a higher concentration of SH or is the ratio going to be the same as pulling it from the pressure washer injector?
@@codycunard5589 it would be the same, if you want to pull a higher concentration look at a x jet, (Im not a fan lol)
What’s up Tristan love the vids! And I was recently thinking of doing gutter cleaning, pressure washing, etc. But I live in a community of about 200 square miles and I was doing research and someone around the area is doing exactly what I want to do, any tips?
Brutally Honest Truth: There will be competition everywhere. Eat or be eaten.
You got this homie. Get in the game and shoot, maybe you guys will collab on a big project. Don't be afraid of other people in your market.
@@Tristan.Kalina Thats great, will definitely try to make it happen, do you have any links for any equipment you use, especially what type of ladder you have.

What short gun would you suggest for a 5 GPM pressure washer.
For oil / grease stained driveways, dumster pads, fast food drive through, service stations use 8-10 Parts of Super Clean to one part Instant Power Heavy Duty Drain Opener (has both NaOH and KOH) - x-jet it (64 oz to 5 gallons). If you want to save $$ buy bulk then mix 9 parts NaOH (sodium hydroxide) to 1 part KOH (potassium hydroxide). Add 3-6 of the mixture cups to 5 gallons of either water or Super Clean. KOH is 3X the cost of NaOH. Using a product which contains 90% NaOH & 10% KOH is like getting the best of both, you will be get a lower in price product with a better exothermic reaction than with Potassium Hydroxide alone, but you will have a faster penetration and better rinsing product than if it just had Sodium Hydroxide.
One thing I am confused by....You have a water tank on the trailer...are you pulling from the tank through the pump? I thought the pump needed pressure from the hose to work properly! I understand the downstreaming chemicals but the water is confusing to me.
Hey Tristian! amazing video! I'm 18 and starting a pressure washing business. I already have a truck and a 4000 psi 3.5 gpm pressure washer. I am soon a surface cleaner and the chemicals. Any recommendations on what size surface cleaner I should buy? i already have 2 customers interested in my services. Thanks!
Lets GOOOOOO!
Proud of you bro. Id grab a 16 inch.
Lets get it!
@@Tristan.Kalina thank bro i appreciate the help!
@@angelambriz5519 I got you dawg!
What state u in
I heard that running water through the hose reel restricts flow to your tank by the inside diameter of hose reel connection points. Also it reduces the life of your hoses because they will still expand while on the hose reel when water goes through it. “The fresh rinse" on RUclips has a video called never run through hose reels or something like that. Can you check it out and give us your thoughts?
Never had an issue with it. I love it for organiztional purposes and keeping everything in a designated spot.
Also do you have a soft wash system?
How do you pull high percentage SH, or do you just pump up spray when you need to go high?
Pump up sprayer👍🏼
What's total cost of things needed for beginner
When your washing and let’s say 100 foot from your truck how do you stop shooting chemicals? Especially when working 2-3 story homes.
I go back to the truck and pull the spa hose out of the downstream injector
Im just learning this so this might be a dumb question but, Do I need 2 hoses? Why not just use the pressure hose instead of a garden hose if im just pressure washing, what would i need the extra hose for?
Garden hose connects to pressure washer so it makes sure it gets water.
Without the garden hose it wont get water.
Pressure hose is how you use the machine.
No such thing as a dumb question!
Hey bro just bought my dewalt 3600 psi machine it has an onboard down streams but says “no bleach” should I just buy a downstream injector to minimize it going thru the machine ? And have it go straight to the gun -Thanks
Not a bad idea at all!
@@Tristan.Kalina thanks bro appreciate you always replying to the comments it’s going to help many people
Of course fam!
I bought dewalt 3300 psi 2.4 gpm and a dewalt 18in surface cleaner and some other accessories to get up and running, wanna get my feet wet, I have a car and I’m pulling it out of my backseat lol, gotta do what I gotta do 🤷🏻♂️. Would you say Facebook ads are the way to go ? I’ve made a brand/logo for the business and business cards and working on door handles/mailbox flyers, any suggestions on marketing?
1. I Love It.
2. Roll through some of my previous vids for sure.
3. Door knocking/ boots on ground. Is a great way to get started. Plus that will give you a ton of skills with people.
4. Flyers are solid too
Tristian, real quick question, I’m setting up my LLC, any recommendations on Insurance ?
@@sammakri7653 general liability
Ahhh I see, I’m assuming that ranges from $38-$70 a month
Thank you btw
Can we start with a small 60 gallon water tank? Why having such a huge water tank (like the one you have)?
You definitely can.
Im pulling about 15 gpm and water tends to leave quicker spurting that much water out.
But if you were to plumb a 4gpm or even a 5gpm that should work.
I notice you don't have a softwash system, other than the inline injector. Why?
I do run a 12v, but I dont need to use it that much
@@Tristan.Kalina I'm just starting up in this, got my 4.5gpm today. Just about to buy the 12v system with the mixer etc. Have you done a video on your setup that I've missed?
Good god😅
Go get it!
@@Tristan.Kalina I already do haha this video is in good heart but bad at the same time Like there is so much wrong. Then again if it works it works but doesn't mean it's a good way.
@@joshlang4660 you’re trolling….
@@Tristan.Kalina how's saying if it works it works and if it works for you. And then giving my subtractive view of this overall video trolling? Sounds like you might not have the mental capacity to be doing this for long if that doesn't change. I didn't say you didn't know we were talking about but I did say there was a lot wrong. maybe the question should be what do you believe I did wrong or what was wrong about the video or in the video and have an engaged conversation. Your reply says everything about you. Yo girl and be successful when you're ready keep moving forward and keep doing you.
If you’re a beginner you absolutely don’t need a trailer or tank. Use the customer’s water.
Sometimes they don't have good pressure and you can't do the job. Ive ran into that.
