The deck itself was great, but your finishing touches make it look like it's meant to be there and it's now a feature of the backyard, which is a terrific reminder that simple projects can be finished to great effect.
I’m so inspired by your videos, I’m all pumped to stain my 800sqft deck that’s 3 months old. I’ve been so overwhelmed. But I’m pumped! Thanks for your 👌 videos!
I just finished a small floating deck in front of my service door on my barn. First time I've attempted something like this. Thanks for the inspiration.
Love it. I just put my grill haphazardly on my front porch. We grill so much that I know my neighbors say to themselves "Clearly her stove/oven is broken".
Absolutely stunning Sam. It shows you don't need to build a complex piece of furniture to have something look this good! Now what was the first thing you grilled :)
Enjoyed the project. If it makes you feel better, here in central Texas, we are on day 13 of 105+ degrees in a row. Rest assured, no decks being built here.
The link to the Kreg Track saw isn't in the description or on your website. Is it because you didn't think it would be a good purchase? If so, what would be better if you already have a circular saw?
I always do outside stuff full sun and hottest days..!! 😮 idk 🤷🏻♀️ it’s torture and satisfying at the same time!! I get my dermatologist would hate it! No hat either!! 😂
I have to say, I have seen SEVERAL gas grill fires due to grease and it’s actually a nice safety feature to have your grill on a structure that is not connected to your house in case anything happens.
Hi great project 😊 im planning on making one at my backyard. When i seen that ur selling the package of ur books, i said that i want them, i would love for you to sign them. My name is Luis Rivera from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, do you sent them international, let me know anything before I purchase them before the time ends. 🎉😊
Yes, obviously it might leave an indent, and most likely the ground won’t be level so you’ll have to use shims and blocks to level since you can’t dig.
First 2 mins of thr video I'm watching your funny bone move ever so closer to miter saw😂😂😂 Sam, sadly that small deck will FAIL!! We all know how those flash mob Strong Island Dance Parties explode out of no where!! Bam!! 50 ppl. jumping up & down on that bad boyee is bad news!! Hoping all is well Kid, Dirty Jersey out!!! Oh I kill myself 😂🙏🤣
What would an instructional video be without someone actually walking you through the process? My goal with every project is not just to “entertain”, it’s to teach and explain. It took me a long time to get comfortable in front of a camera and comments like this make me second guess my progress and my vibe. Especially on videos like this one where I’m trying a new style of delivering my story. I’m trying my best here. Please be kind.
Shop my flash plan sale here! Sale ends July 28!

Me, right now, who just finished a bathroom remodel and garage clean up / workshop builds but missed the sale: 😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Ahhh! Thank you!

By the way , I start my weekend with You, DIYDanie, and Alexandra Gator
The Three Amigas
This makes me so happy!
This floating deck build turned out great! Love how you brought it all together with lights, plants, and the grill of course. Love your energy!🤙🏾💯
Thank you so muchhh!
Great deck, looks very sturdy. I like how this project is sort of a 'karate kid' practice for building a shed or a house!
Hahah - I love that!
Love the herb idea and everything
If you’re going to do outside projects you should think about giving yourself shade so you are not directly in the sun
We don’t mind the full sun in the backyard all summer. Once my shop is done it will be so much easier to build, period. Hopefully soon!
@@diyhuntresshaha, you are psycho! I MUST have shade! I’m always dragging around umbrellas and pop-up tents when I’m doing projects outside. 😅
You could put color changing led lights under the floating facia boards.
I LOVE THIS IDEA.

Loveee!
Love it. I just put my grill haphazardly on my front porch. We grill so much that I know my neighbors say to themselves "Clearly her stove/oven is broken".
Oooh so that is the issue my neighbours have! I thought it was a lifestyle choice (can't blame them)
This was just what I needed to watch. I'd love to see more of your projects. I'm in the process of building a dog yard with a floating deck shelter.
I love love love your floating deck!! You do beautiful work and I am looking forward to seeing what you will do next. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️❤️!
Thank you!
You are welcome! 🤗
I loved this so much on IG I had to come see the full video. Great job!!!
I love you so much.
Well done!
Nice station... Enjoy the space and the food... Happy grilling...
I love the way you sing when you work- a lot like Danie!
That’s why we’re bestiesss.
It looks great Sam!
Thank you so much!
Clever idea having the herbs in the slats
Love this, great ideas and inspo for a deck I've been planning for my front yard
WOW! Great idea and it looks fantastic..🙌👏😍
Absolutely stunning Sam. It shows you don't need to build a complex piece of furniture to have something look this good! Now what was the first thing you grilled :)
Steak, for sureeee.
So much work. So much fun.
Excellent grill station 😄.🥶🖤🔔👍🏻
Looks awesome, great job ❤❤❤
Thank you!
Love your video and explanations!!

Where and when 4:42 did you learn your skills ?
You’re incredibly talented
Thank you! I used to go to job sites with my dad as a teenager and then I taught myself more from there! 💓
@@diyhuntress
You never cease to amaze me with your skills and imagination.
Amazing thanks
This was incredibly helpful!
Love how the deck turned out
Thank you!
It looks amazing! And with the fence, bushes and privacy fence you’re more than secure to cook nekkid 🤣😂
I liked your well thought out design and build project!
Well done!
Thank you!
Amazing!
I just came across your channel today! Glad to have found you and I'm really looking forward to watching the rest of your videos!
SO happy you're here!
Oh gosh!!! This is so nice!!!!
Awesome project.👉🏻 💯👈🏻
Where do I get all the materials for that. 🤷🏼♀️
Not sure why privacy screen is needed over a grill but thanks for showing a nice diy decl
It just looks nicer. I wanted it to match and have a spot to hang things. ☺️
Great job!
Q: How many happy dance done in this episode?
Love this project ❤❤
Haha - not enough!
Looks great Sam!!
Thank you!
How did you do your privacy fence on the deck ? What metal post did you use ?
I LOVE it Sam!!
Thank you!

Another great job!!!
Hey!! Can you tell me which stain you used? I love the shade
Beautiful ❣️
Thank you!
Looks great. Definity trying it at home. Is the 2x6 boards the only size boards used in the whole desk?
I am interested in building one
Do ittt!
You said “If I can do it anyone can do it”. I don’t agree. You have a lot of skills! Keep up the good work.
I have to say, I have seen SEVERAL gas grill fires due to grease and it’s actually a nice safety feature to have your grill on a structure that is not connected to your house in case anything happens.
Floating deck, for the win!
This is awesome!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love it ❤
I feel so guilty sitting here in my air conditioned room watching you sizzle.
Love it sam❤
Thank you!
Love it😍💪
Where did you order the privacy posts? The black ones. What are they called?

Could I use 2x4's instead?
Trying to find the black posts you used and the planters….
It’s all linked on my website under my materials list!
@@diyhuntress Your website isn't linked though. Just says "Materials and step-by-step on my website: " lol
Looks great, Sam. Just one question. Where's you angle driver (lol)?
Bill
@@striketochill I'm the worst - ahhah. It's there now. Sorry!
@@diyhuntress Haha no worries, I found it on the main page of your channel.
Where do you get the privacy fence
Great build, but please don't make building decks in the summer sun a yearly thing
You’re hired for the job of reminding me to never do this again in the summer. 💓
What brand are the privacy fence posts?
what brand is the slat wall system? No link; sorry for the question
How do you do it? I am always surprised, Are you taking any students?
What size is it
💗
What color stain did you use?
I have artificial turf can I just set on top? Since I can’t dig holes for the post?
Yes, obviously it might leave an indent, and most likely the ground won’t be level so you’ll have to use shims and blocks to level since you can’t dig.
Stay Tuned - Next Summer - A small built in pool..........ya never know!

CUT THE MOZARELLA!!
Girl did you say 80 degrees.. 🙄... be for real. Try doing outdoor work in 114 degrees with a humidity index of HELL you can't breath.
Love your videos but you talk way to much lol !
