You're completely right about their backstories being waaaaay more interesting than the plot of the movie. I think Alice's tale would be the most interesting one - but even the mention it got in the book, got lost in the adaptation process.

Just came to make the same comment. Literally every Cullen has a more interesting story than the one being told in this franchise. Like, Rosalie's backstory would be freaking fantastic as a movie. Edward's would be too, given he's basically, well, Batman... but literally, bat man. And mixed with Dexter.
The vamps have dark eyes when their hungry, amber/yellow eyes when they're "vegetarians" (like the Culllens) and have fed on animals, and red eyes when they've fed on human blood or are a new vamp :)
"He's hunting now" (all menacingly) lol that part cracked me up. Now I need to watch them watch ALL the Twilight movies!! I wish they'd read the books, the movies would make so much more sense

My favorite storyline in these movies is Carlisle's!
He was born to an Anglican preacher in the 1600's! His father hunted supernatural creatures! Carlisle hunted them with his father, found them in the sewer and they turned him! He's drank animal blood since then
He is honestly a story I wanted to see more of him and Alice actually I would’ve loved like a short series of him finding everybody their back stories were somewhat my favorite part I hate Alice has one of the most interesting ones and they don’t mention it.
@@shania991The reality is Stephanie Meyers is good at concepts and rough story outlines but make her have to flesh out the story beats and have dialogue and her lack of skill shows.
That's why literally every single one of the back stories for each Cullen is more interesting at first glance than Bella and Edward's. If they ever revisit this franchise.with prequels,my only wish is that Stephanie doesn't write the screenplay.

My favorite part of this movie would have to be Rosalie’s flashback when she was doing a lot of awesome stuff while wearing a wedding dress. Which to be honest actually sounds like a way better Twilight movie than this.

How do people say that bella is being manipulative about Jacob's kiss, while he literally is the one manipulating her into it, saying "I'm gonna go now and kill myself because you choose Edward over me". She literally tried saving his life in that moment. like how do people look completely over that?!?!? 😂
I was thinking the exact same thing, since the ending of the last movie she told him that it’s always gonna be Edward and he still pursued her and then in this movie forced her to admit what little romantic feelings she has for him which still didn’t change anything like Jacob just consistently hasn’t been able to take no for an answer. A lot of people want to try and blame Jacob’s actions on him being young, a werewolf and hotheaded and make exceptions for him but not the same for Edward when he’s 17, he still thinks like a 17 year old that’s just 1 year older than Jacob, he just been alive for 109 years stuck at 17 and all of his emotions are heightened, his jealousy, anger, sadness, etc. so his actions and reasons for protecting Bella from Jacob should be able to be excused too right? Yet Edward is the toxic boyfriend. In the second movie and this is just a personal opinion but when Jacob and Bella were hanging out more, Bella just needed/wanted a friend and I’m sure Jacob did miss hanging out with Bella but he also had interior motives of getting with Bella since Edward was out of the picture which is kinda messed up bc clearly she’s still very vulnerable from the break up and you’re trying to convince her to date you…..I’m just saying Edward can be toxic and controlling but Jacob has been the same way if not slightly more so imo.
Alice has a pretty compelling backstory and so does Rosalie but Jasper's is so badass it's my fave

I'm not familiar with Alice's, or else I forgot it (I have read the books YEARS ago; my wife started them so I joined in with her). I'll have to take a look and find out what it is because she was always my favorite character in the series.
Charlie is hands-down the best character in this series!
Jacob was being honest to Charlie about the kiss, but you should notice that Edward knew what happened immediately because he could read Jake's mind.

no, that's not the same actress cause Summit wanted someone more famous so they said Rachel lied about some job or took some job that took time of shooting for this movie, which is weird they couldnt give her 2 weeks since she is barely in the movie. but then they showed themselves for the next movie saying they wouldnt doubt on firing any actor who demanded more money (like, jasper, alice, rose, emmet, etc). so we all knew the rachel excuse was bullshit. the actress was pretyt mad too back then

The tribe flashback and Jasper flashback tied in so well for Eclipse. The woman’s sacrifice to save her husband from the vampire rampaging for her deceased lover, and Maria parallels with Victoria’s by turning a mortal as her vampire puppet guised as a lover to control newborns.
I knew she would love this one because it's so much more Jacob! 😂 You have to remember that Edward doesn't have to guess what will happen because he already knows everyone's thoughts except Bella. You'll find out why later. So he knew Jacob's thoughts already. Can't wait to get further along to see your opinions continue to morph!

Enjoying these reactions. I highly recommend checking out Cinema Therapy's series on just how wildly toxic the relationships in these movies are. Also, if you ever rewatch, I also VERY highly recommend watching the RiffTrax versions because very rarely have I laughed so hard.
The only thing I’ve taken away from the movies and the books is even being around her is extremely painful for Edward… and he has gotten used to everyday interactions… but intercourse he is terrified about hurting her

@@donovanepps1165 That is a complete lie actually...Bryce Dallas Howard was the initial pick for Victoria but turned down the role because she didn't think the part would be big enough for her acting career.
The original Victoria actress from the 1st 2 films, Rachelle LaFevre, FOUGHT HARD for the role and even wrote them a handwritten letter explaining why she really wanted the part. For the 3rd film she had another project that conflicted with filming this movie by 2 weeks if I remember correctly. And they refused to accommodate her schedule so they recast her. Suddenly because Twilight was a huge success it was now 'big enough' for Bryce to accept the role.
They basically pushed Rachelle out and she was devastated. The one in this scenario who felt they were too big for the role was Bryce Dallas Howard (the 2nd Victoria), not Rachelle LeFevre (the 1st Victoria).

From what I remember (someone Correct me if I’m wrong) but As newborns they all have red eyes. If they only feed on animal blood they have golden eyes.(as in the they’re vegetarians that don’t feed from humans) . And the black eyes mean they need to feed.

Why in this day and age do some women believe women are responsible for how men feel, those are the women that dislike Bella and can't see how all of these men are trying to manipulate her. Bella was honest from the beginning.

Such a missed opportunity not to have the final confrontation be between Jasper and Reilly. Considering their similar backstories of being tools to evil vamp mommies, it would've been nice for him to at least try and reach him instead of Edward or at least school the newbies with his experience to make them stop and think why they're all involved in this at all.
Ya that’s Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria in this one. I thing she did a great job. I would have preferred if they had given her loose curls like the original, instead of the right curls.

“This is manipulation”. Yes. Yes, it is. On Jake’s part. He threatened to get himself killed to make Bella ask for a kiss. He would’ve kissed her whether she asked or not. He isn’t a good person. And much like you said Jake doesn’t owe her anything because he isn’t her boyfriend, same goes for Bella. She never said they’d be more. A few will they, won’t they moments does not a relationship make. I find it really weird that you’re so against Bella when she’s the one being assaulted, manipulated, and congratulated Jake in the process? Are we watching the same movies? Maybe read the books for more context. Much was left out.
I really enjoyed the franchise especially the first two.

Okay so a few things because from the other video it was just a lot of biased people in my opinion and plenty who never read the books
1. Bella very much cares about her father I see team Charlie and I get it but let’s stop forgetting she didn’t live with her dad most of her life, but when she got to forks she literally was taking care of him dude couldn’t even cook for himself. Bella did it all and constantly worried about him when everything was happening with the Cullens and James all she could think about was Charlie.
2. I love Charlie but he’s biased asf especially in the book he’s so mad at Edward he basically gives Jacob a pat on the back for SA Bella 🤷🏾♀️ say what you want idc how much I don’t like one guy the fact he is visibly mad at Edward but wasn’t at Jacob is weird.
3. In the books when Edward speeds up and learns what Jacob did (forced kiss) he was so calm and cold Bella was actually scared for Jacob I wish they showed more of his cold moments even the family sometimes knew just to leave him alone.
4. When rose killed those men she didn’t drink their blood she didn’t want even a drop inside of her and in the WEDDING DRESS 🙌🏾😂 I love her everybody had a pretty tragic story but Rose and Alice story always stick out to me.
5. I don’t care how you spin it Jacob was wrong for both kisses one was SA the other was manipulation at its finest but everybody swears that’s Bella(bella literally admits her intentions in new moon and he stuck around) , even though Jacob shows that side even I new moon. He lets Edward believe Bella is dead to get the girl, when that didn’t work he pulled the “don’t go for me, for Charlie” bs, he then forced her to say her feelings by manipulating a kiss out of her even though she made it clear BEFORE it wouldn’t change anything. Jacob might be immature but he isn’t that damn young he doesn’t understand what he’s doing.
6. Edwards big thing is Bella’s soul and virtue he feels it’s to late for him but he still wants her to have some sense of the human experience he’s nothing if not traditional. I found it pretty sweet wanting to do it how he would’ve back in his time asking her father first, proposing with a ring that’s been passed down he’s old school lol.
7. Bella has a issue with marriage because of her parents she wants to be with Edward forever but she saw how it worked out for her parents, in the book she says a reason her parents didn’t work was because they were to young lol it’s not until Charlie says he still believe in marriage that she says yes.
8. It’s your opinion but I’d still trust being around Edward and his family vs Jacob and that’s not even including his family, if you watch every movie you see anytime Jacob doesn’t get his way he grabs on Bella in a rough way 🤷🏾♀️ and keep in mind Bella is choosing to be in all of this nobody is putting her in danger these are HER choices.
