People love clowning on these movies because it’s YA and a lot of it is corny but I LOVE the vibe of the first movie. It has like small production vibes but is still decent quality. The filter. The costuming and makeup. Idk how to explain it it’s just such a cool movie vibe.
The colour grading, the music, the cinematography, it's got incredible vibes. As long as you don't look at the plot and the *tons* of alarms ringing too closely, it's a fantastic movie. It had so much potential, but Meyer just had to write the most Mormon of stories and relationships. One red flag after the other. The premise and the characters honestly could have made for a great story.
I feel like so many channels just make fun of Twilight, and very few just let themselves relax into the absurdity of it all and just love it unironically😂😂 I'm glad this channel is just enjoying the ride!

He lucked out to have that song and another track Never Think on the album after sharing a CD he made with costar Nikki Reed, and she shared it with the Director. These films, soundtracks, and books will hold a special place in my heart because it was a bonding experience for me and my sis-in-law. IMO the movies get better as they go along. The lore for this franchise is vampires are cold and solid (compared to marble) so they break and crack during fights. Their eyes change color based on feedings (amber when full, black when hungry, and red when eating human blood), so Bella zeroed in and questioned his eye color in their first chat. His eyes were black the day she first went to the chemistry class, so he was trying to hold his breath for the whole class, but Rob didn’t quite pull that scene off without looking possessed, lol. Also Jacob is sharing his tribes history with Bella because he thinks it’s all just myth and stories, not truth. He also just wants to talk to her because it's something she's showing interest in.

also idk about outtakes but the DVD commentary was pure gold. roberts pattinson and kristen stewart and the director where funny and tried their best (for better or worse what was happening on screen xD ) describing each scene and what their internal monologues were or how ridiculous something was, its worth a watch honestly

Well in the book it took months and multiple encounters of the two of them the pull and push relationship so it’s kinda make sense that she trusted him, he saved her multiple times and tries so hard not to hurt her. In the movie everything happens too fast so that it doesn’t make sense.
Vampires are suppose to replicate beauty and allure and whats more beautiful and alluring than skin that shines like diamonds, so it kinda makes sense.
Bella whether she realizes it or not is forcing Edward to take responsibility for his actions when she tells him, "I trust you." Now it's on him not to attack her. Of course he could any time. He tells her to stay away from him because he can't control himself, but she turns it around and places the responsibility on him because he's the one with superhuman strength and speed -- it really is up to him to control himself.

I find the glitter skin interesting because of “buckyballs,” a flexible form of diamond. If their skin is that diamond tough, and it appears to be, then each pore would refract sunlight the same way diamond does. And in most vampire lore, their chosen human and they have an intense emotional connection; in some stories, the human can actually die if the vampire leaves. I think the author drew on all of that.
Fun fact: The song that plays during the scene when Edward sucks James venom out of Bella is actually Robert Pattinson singing. its his song. its called "Let me Sign"
I kept tearing up from laughing so hard. This reaction is like a role reversal with Jaby being Achara and Kristen being Jaby (also him not noticing the irony of it all). At times, Kristen's reaction to the movie and Jaby was very reminiscent of Truman's boiling point reaction to Meryl's final product placement in The Truman Show.
Is interesting because I was just like you guys about Edwards mood swings but after reading the first book that is about his point of view… I understood him…
I used to avoid him somewhat because I thought of him as "that douchey guy who gets a different woman in every video to clickbait horny people", but he seems to have mellowed out somewhat and even has a level of self-awareness saying "when I was an asshole".
Great reaction to this movie. It's mad how we see Edward hesitate many a time but we never see Bella hesitate about him. I personally hate her character in the franchise but for what the movie is it works. Looking forward to your reaction in part 2. PS the disco ball with Edward is so true and many people also did not like that about the vampires.

Made me realize how good it is. Everyone gasped at the same time; every time. The end had everyone in a chokehold. The room was very reactive. It sparked the “monster” inside of him and couple that with he can’t read her mind it was literally a first experience for him in 100 years of being a vampire. I find the glitter skin interesting because of “buckyballs,” a flexible form of diamond. If their skin is that diamond tough, and it appears to be, then each pore would refract sunlight the same way diamond does. And in most vampire lore, their chosen human and they have an intense emotional connection; in some stories, the human can actually die if the vampire leaves. I think the author drew on all of that.

I kept tearing up from laughing so hard. This reaction is like a role reversal with Jaby being Achara and Kristen being Jaby (also him not noticing the irony of it all).

The way I think about Jaby is "that guy who hates everything" (I don't remember why 😂) so it's VERY surprising to see how much he loves it lol
I used to avoid him somewhat because I thought of him as "that douchey guy who gets a different woman in every video to clickbait horny people", but he seems to have mellowed out somewhat and even has a level of self-awareness saying "when I was an asshole".

Twilight will always be a favorite. My family n I when to the movie theater to watch the last one, and when I say everyone in the room all had the same reactions n was thinking the same things while watching. Made me realize how good it is. Everyone gasped at the same time; every time. The end had everyone in a chokehold. The room was very reactive. I’ve never seen a movie where the whole room reacted like that. Ppl was crying. Ik I shed some tears, and was so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!

He wasn’t offended by her smell he was thirsty for her. Him being “vegetarian” it went against everything he stood for. It sparked the “monster” inside of him and couple that with he can’t read her mind it was literally a first experience for him in 100 years of being a vampire. The books goes more in depth about that first interaction..

Edi Gathegi, the actor for Laurent, was born in Kenya and grew up in California, so the accent you were picking up on was probably Kenyan-American (unless they asked him to put on a different accent for the character, not sure) 🤷
