- Today we dive back into Norwegian Band A-HA and their single "Minor Earth Major Sky". This was the second single from the bands sixth studio album of the same name (2000). Amazing video in which the band wore reproductions of real lunar suits that had been originally used in the film Apollo 13 !
What Do Ya'll Think ?!

Love love loveeee that song. I was born in 1991 and a big a-ha fan❤
Uma das fãs mais atuantes, você Ilse nos presenteou com as músicas do álbum "Brother", em "avant premiere"
That's a great album from them. I love I Wish I Cared from that album most ❤️
Love it! I, as a huge fan, will admit I had to hear it a couple of times before I TRULY appreciated it. A lot of their newer stuff is like that for me. Once it hits me, I’m absolutely SOLD for life, though! I’ve had this album and the Lifelines album in the car for the past month or so. 😎 I’m so glad Ty didn’t hate it! 😘
Yeah,i understand you.Felt same way too 1st time i listened to the album. But now it's an "established" choice in my mind.
Yes Ty is coming around 😎. I totally love those two albums; Minor Earth & Lifelines, Pure Legends A-Ha !!
Have you heard forest for the trees, off the new album, only the live version around on RUclips. Typical a-ha. Chorus sticks in your head after one listen
I am so glad Ty liked it.
It's always nice when young people like "our" music. With this album, a-ha went back to their original sound, synth pop. Since then, they have stayed there, more or less. As far as I remember, leaving Morten on the moon was a greeting to him, since he is in the habit of arriving late for appointments.
that's pretty funny of them if that was the analogy, leaving Morten on the moon ha😎😎
@@reactionextraction I am sure I have read it in one of the books about a-ha, but I can't remember exactly which book and where. So I am pretty sure it is right. I remember laughing when I read it.
This song is a grower, I like it more and more. "Forever not yours" was my fav from this album.
bit of trivia for ya, the suits they wore in this are the exact suits worn by Tim hanks Kevin bacon and bill paxton in Apollo 13
One of the suits was too small, and
gnawed on the shoulders. The solution was Paul's son's diapers. I guess it is Magne wearing diapers on his shoulders, under the suit, to ease the pressure. He is the tallest of them.
Twas a quite good comeback album after 7 years of hiatus.Personally apart from 2 songs that i wasn't keen on that lp i like all the rest.At first this mature work sounded rather strange to my ears but it was a good grower album. In USA i think it wasn't released at the time.It was really big in Germany/Norway(No1) and did also well in the Eurochart(top 3).I loved this song at once and enjoyed the cool video too.I also liked the albums artwork.Eerm.....Dad are you sure you are American?!lol!I like your wider range of music taste that many of us have here in Europe! And I got so amused watching you enjoying this like a teenage child!.I do feel/act same way each now and then while revisiting past songs.ha!ha!...P.S.Btw since you did the "Nordic ones" do some Swedish acts too. It's time to do some Abba stuff even for just once, don't ignore them. Here, they were/are still super huge.I feel their "S.O.S." classic, will be fine for both of you.
Totally agree with you, its time for some ABBA, Ace of Base and the amazing Roxette to be on the show 😎! (RIP Marie Fredriksson) ... Thank you for noticing my affection for Music from across the pond! In America there are many fans who preferred UK / Scandinavian / European Bands over stuff here in the US like Bruce Springsteen, Journey, Hall & Oates and Billy Joel. I was buying imports of Erasure, The Smiths, Wet Wet Wet, Blow Monkeys, Roxette and Deacon Blue. In short yes our show will probably be liked more outside the US (already is) than here where we live and that is totally cool with me, Ha 😎😎✌🏼
@@reactionextraction Now watch it with Hall & Oates - I left MTV to work for them! 🤣 LOVE them. 😇
Rgis is my favorite aha song. The music just draws me in.
Great a-ha song, you can real hear a amazing creative sound a-ha make to their 2000s era.
Hope your your guys react to a their song, "Forever Not Yours"
from their Album "Lifelines" from 2002.
The keyboard sound is insane briliant from Mags, and Morten's vocal is in his classic styl of modern
Yes, more a-ha coming on the show 😎😎
Didnt know this Aha song. Only familiar with their first 3 albums. Need to get the rest. I really like them.
Summer moved on was the come back single
That was a significant song to their career second time around.Such a great song and Morten's voice still incredible.
You shall check out Summer moved on. The single before this who was the first single in 6 years. Thats their best song of. And it has many suprises
It’s on our list, that will be our next a-ha 😎😎
Hi guys, love aha, one of the better later aha songs is summer moved on. Well worth a listen. :)
Agreed & its on our list, great tune 😎😎
An underestimated music group, to say the least. They are so known for their earlier music and being ”pop boys”. Mårten rocks and his voice just touches my heart and they are super talanted.
If you feel like it, react to ”Mando Diao”, Down in the Past. Quite a famous band in Sweden and we happened to go to music class together in upper secondary school.
The comback song was definitely summer moved on.)
But nevertheless it’s a great choice to react to!
Clip com inspiração do filme "Solaris", de Andrey Tarkowiski.
love it! Just wonder why they left Morten astronaut alone in the moon...
IKR 😳 ha
Leaving Morten on the moon was a greeting to him, since he is in the habit of arriving late for appointments.
give your son Manhattan skyline , scoundrel days, don’t just pick the singles either. I’m sure you have heard sycamore leaves live from the nrk studios ?
