Excellent video. I have a similar set up minus the kids. I'm with you on the permanent drawer setup. It limits you. Also cooking on the tailgate? Always wonder how much grease floating through the air Finds Its way to the inside of a Jeep. I start my 3mo overlanding trip in May. Keep the videos coming, very informative and gives different ideas other than what the Joneses are doing.
What an amazing adventure! 3 months??? Hope you share some pics/vids of your journey. We too were nervous about cooking off the tailgate, and in fairness we do sometimes use the prep table (usually depending on wind), but smells, etc getting in the Jeep really hasn’t been an issue. We do wipe do the tailgate every night too keep things from building up. Wet wipes FTW! Thanks for watching!!
Great stuff.... But a Critical Piece of the puzzle missing. Recovery Gear and Safety Equipment. First aid? Where do you keep ropes, soft shackles, engine oil, etc etc etc..
So true. Totally agree. I didn’t include any of that..it was kind of a noob vid if I’m honest. We’re shooting a full walk around that will cover all of that this weekend.
@@Venture2Roam Sweet! Your quality of video is top notch! Progressed really fast. Getting ready to ramp up my channel and build out of my 2022 JLUR. Thanks for some good inspiration.
You need to look into a vector Offroad cargo rack in back of jeep. Its tall enough to have my cfx50 fridge on a slide and 2 - 2 gallon each water rotopax underneath them. Plus can take top off because it mounts to roll bar. One of the best upgrades I did for rear hatch organization. May not be able to see out rear hatch but I can't anyway cause of my spare tire. LOL Nice Videos...
Thanks for the suggestion Scott! We’ve looked into those, and a lot of other Overlanders have them, but so far have opted not to install any shelf/drawer system in the back of the Jeep. Of the options out there, we like the Vector product though. Should we add more gear to our set up, we might need that in the future. Thank you so much for watching our vids!!!
Great video! I'm curious about your water set up in the back. How did you fit 2? I noticed you have a spout on one of them. Would be great to see how it works and how you did it.
That’s a great idea for a video. We love our water set up. Rotopax sells an extension that allows us to have two 2 gal containers attached. The spout is amazing..I had to customize it slightly…but it has really good flow/pressure. I’ll put this on the video list!!

Im packing a bowl while learning how to pack my jeep for camping .Multi tasking!!!
😂😂😂
The Dewalt boxes are genius. Very nice 👌
All credit goes to Kate on this. She wanted to have drawers and storage, but wanted them to be modular...Genius indeed!
@@Venture2Roam I'm gonna have to show that to Charlotte and see how she likes it. We might have a new kitchen solution. 🤔
Great looking loadout, very organized!
We have definitely developed our approach through trial and error, but are pretty happy. Finding how to store the traction boards is our next project!
Nice setup! I’ve always wondered how you setup and takedown so quickly! 🤔
And just doing it over and over and over and over...
Great setup! Well organized!
Thank you! It’s still a work in progress, but at least we can see out the back window. Thanks for watching!!!

What brand are your duffle bags? Are they holding up after this time?
Gerry brand. Yes, holding up well.
