  • In this quick video, I go over all the gear we bring on every overlanding trip and where we find room for everything considering the lack of storage in a Jeep Wrangler.

Nicely done video, very informative. Good to see you back. I had a 1986 CJ7 for years and space was at a premium, but I had it down to a science like you. Happy trails..

What about firearm? I assume you keep your food inside your jeep when you camp in bear country.

Informative video for me! I've been struggling to fit my camping gear in the back seat of my Gladiator. Now I'm convinced that I need the Goose Gear seat delete after seeing how much extra room you have!

The new Rinse kit system. Working on building it into my new rig. Two modules. A battery/water storage module. A green bottle powered instant programmable hot water module. For Mamma Goose. Up to 110 degrees. Nothing says love more than a hot shower..😁

Plastics, especially single use plastics, are a significant pollutant in our environment today. I've swapped over to reusable plastics. I carry potable water in either 2.5 gal or 5 gal Scepter jugs (they last for years) snd the use them to refill 1 L Nalgene bottles...two of my Nalgene bottles date to the 1970s and have been refilled and reused many hundreds of time each.
Sending a single use bottle to recycling does not mitigate their impacts since there is essentially no market capacity to reuse the material (China refuses to take it these days).
I challenge 395 jnky to consider using more sustainable plastics.
BTW, I look forward to your videos.

Agree with you as I do the same. But I got rid of my old Nalgene bottles and bought new ones that are BPA-free. I'd recommend you do the same. Though I do regret throwing them all out as I wish I had kept one for a pee bottle for rainy nights - oh well.

Hey Daniel. I like how your recovery gear is kept down low as my stuff is fairly heavy, I assume yours is too. I also run the Goose Gear platform/ sleep system and a RTT on top. I like the shelf, next up for my 4Runner👍

Like your videos and your Jeep.
I would think you'd have some kind of partition whether soft or hard style even just for protection.
Wouldn't be to fun being buried in all that gear let alone if it were traveling from 40mph to 0mph instantly.
    Regardless...like your channel.

Plastic water bottles are important, since you might find yourself stuck somewhere that you can't filter your own water. I see you also have a white RotoPax strapped to your spare wheel too. :) Curious if you've ever used 1/4"x20 stainless eye bolts for your Goose Gear stealth platform. I find having a dozen or so handy help, when you've got a few strachets to tie things down.

Thanks for the video. I’m sure you played Tetris with that gear many times figuring out where everything needed to go.
I hate rattles as well so appreciate things like pillows and soft bags to help eliminate them.
Hope you had a great trip. Cheers.
