  • After eyeballing this upgrade for some time now, I decided to pull the trigger. No buyers remorse here. In fact, I should have made this interior modification a while ago. Check out this video of the full install if you are thinking of getting the Goose Gear Platform system.

    Yeah, everyone loves that neighbor...only if they loved everyone coming over for a quick question which turns into them leading the job. I always make sure to keep him beer’d up🤣😅😂😎. Nice build.

    New subscriber here. Like all the content that is local to me. I'm between 138 and 395. I like the storage room in the newer models. If I ever upgrade I definitely will be installing the goose storage. My two over land projects have limited products available so I have to watch videos like yours for ideas to transfer into my older Jeep's. Still catching up on your videos keep them coming.

    Thanks for the video, How much weight did you add with this? can you tell the difference in gas mileage?

    • @395jnky
      @395jnky  2 года назад +1

      No problem. As far as weight goes it really is insignificant if any weight was added at all. By the time you remove both seats (60/40) I'm not sure it is any add weight. If it is heavier, it is so insignificant there is no impact on gas milage. Thanks for watching.

    I would like to see how you installed your fridge with the goose gear system

    Thanks for the video. I just ordered the platform and 60% plate as well. Didn’t opt for the cubbies. My question is did you have to order the side plate for the passenger side on the 60% platform or does it come with it?

    • @395jnky
      @395jnky  4 года назад

      Hi Clinton. Thanks for the comment. You do need to order that part separately. Take care

    Awesome video...looks great! What was the other platform that you were using and uninstalled before putting in the goose gear setup?

    • @395jnky
      @395jnky  4 года назад +1

      Thanks Troy for watching and for the comment. The other platform was just a homemade one, that I made from plywood. Took about 3 hours of cutting and taping cardboard together to make a template. Good little weekend project. Happy Trails

    how bad did it sag your rear suspension? and was it alot more on that passenger side?

    • @395jnky
      @395jnky  2 года назад

      Didn't really notice any sag from the GG. specially by the time you lose the weight from the seats.

    We are installing the same GG system this weekend without the cubbies. Did you have to drill any new holes to put your Dometic fridge slide in?

    • @395jnky
      @395jnky  4 года назад

      Yes I did. But, it wasn't that big of deal...I don't ever plan on running around without the fridge, so the holes will never be exposed....Hope the install went well.

    • @mandyhusak1777
      @mandyhusak1777 4 года назад

      @@395jnky, it went ok. We didn't buy the cubbies, so we had to do some plastic trimming in the back, and we will have to take the platform back out to put the t-nuts in for the fridge slide. But, it'll be worth it. Thanks so much for replying!!!

      The side cubbies and platform bottom for the rear and pass side was about $2k. So far it is holding up amazing and just as good as the day I installed it...Money well spent.
