Ooh, the Tahoe is going to Tahoe. I'm glad my off the cuff comment inspired you, Jason! I always enjoy your road trips. And with the past year+ we’ve all had a vicarious road trip will be a great change. Hope all goes (went?) well! Now I have to Google bottle jack extensions for my Jeep.
thanks for the video, i use a set of those ridgid boxes for my camp gear as well let him know that in that ridgid box for the air tools he can take the liner out in the lid for more space maybe for the air hoses to fit or anything else
I have the same bottle jack Joe has, also under my back seat. I like how he prepped the added support base. Always learn something new! and indeed that ARB lift is on my hope to have some day list too.
Hey Jason, two quick things: 1. That Element fire extinguisher (while lauded by the folks in Australia) are effective only if there is no wind. I tried rescueing a GM that caught on fire here going up the side of a mountain with one of those and the slight gust of wind made it ineffective due to it being a gas that just blows away. I'm back to regular fire extinguishers now. 2. Tell Joe to keep that tape measure there! Sometimes you don't know if your Toyota Sequoia will fit between that gatekeeper on Steel Pass road in DV and it's nice to measure it with a tape first. (We made the Sequoia fit 🤫) Otherwise, great video! I love these types of videos and always learn a thing or two seeing what others carry on the trail, like metal zip ties!
I do also carry a standard fire extinguisher on the roll bars for wheeling trips, the Element is just the quick grab to start managing the situation until I can get the full one out of the back or someone else brings theirs :-)
@@joeolmsted8867 Ah yeah that's a good strategy. Admittedly, the Element managed to prevent things from going catastrophic until someone showed up with a big boy extinguisher, but if that was all I was carrying, then it would have been a bad day. I hope the tape measure made it back into the bag! :D
@magedef it’s in there because I also used to carry a sawzaw… you never know when you need to cut a bent shock mount :/). I have really skimmed down to the basics for these day trips / Jeep jamborees.
Very good setup. For the jack , I use few years high lift jack, and since 2 years ( for safety) I change for the Pro Eagle 2 Ton. I travel 95% alone. And with the high lift is very easy to have bad days... the Pro Eagle are very safe and so easy to use .... the only down side is like your new jack ... very expensive For my bed truck (Tacoma) and for the cab ( seat deleted) I use Milwaukee packout to. Great system. Have 3 base plate in bed and 1 base plate in cab. Very fun you can easy mix the set up .. and like you said , if you don't need... just leave in garage.
Always good to see how other people are packing their gear to learn some new. Heading up to Tahoe in your Tahoe? I just came back from there yesterday.....Have fun.
Nice set up! It amazes me the people that wheel and never take the first thing! Last weekend I was with a group of 9 jeeps, the biggest built jeep on One 1tons and 42 blew the oil sending line. NOT ONE person had any oil with them......I had 2 gallons. Where did you get the sliders?
I purchased them with the Black Forest 31L Fridge a few years ago. Came as a black friday deal on Quadratec I believe. I found the packing list from Quadratec, the slid-outs were part number 5012269
@@AutoEdits I pull a wedge drop, so I've been looking for axle upgrades... Ordered the ultimate 44/4.88 after watching your video.. and sometime this month I'll be ordering a ultimate 60/4.88 for the rear using the GameStop Stonk money.. what a payout..lol
Awesome to hear this... cool about the gamstop thing! Wait a moment for when Dana/Spicer release their D60 rear with JK outers so you don't have to change to 8 lug wheels. They said spring of this year and it is about that time!

I was wondering where he got the accessories for the bottle jack or at least the brand names so I can find them myself, I already have a bottle jacks but cannot find the accessories unless I buy the bottle jack that comes with it, also that cool base plate for the ARB Jack and the bottle jack
i've got the safejack system also. it's pretty killer! the stock jack just doesn't really work anymore out on the trail with any sort of a lift/big tire combo. it's a really nice, well thought out kit. albeit it, HEAVY. BUT, you don't need a hi-lift anymore... *other* than for 'street cred'! LOL

Nothing worse that having to leave your rig on a trail... Unfortunately, I've seen them parted out when left. So getting back to the parking lot is critical. I've had to do it a few times.
@@AutoEdits Wow, I can’t believe you actually replied! To be honest I have watched every JKU video multiple times. I love you’re channel and you’re content. I see an AutoEdit video, I click like, I watch.
I see an amazing comment like this and I hit the like AND heart button as fast as I can!!! Thanks dude.

Right!
We need some videos of Joes rig out on the trail!! Great video again 🤙🏽
For sure!!
You and Joe should do Rubicon trip together again but both in your own jeeps! Great video as usual!!
That would be cool! I almost made the Big Bear trip coming up but I'll try to hit the trails with him at some point.
Geez GOALS!
This made me think about I how i really need to organize my tools . 😂 But definitely taking alot of advice from this 😃
Glad it was helpful!
all the electrical wire coming out of that panel needs to be in metal conduit. no permits needed for that install haha, good vid.
Thanks dude... yeah he had his brother do that electrical... family discount...lol
It is SC county after all..
At working watching this Jason.
Don't get into trouble!!! BUT THANKS for the support!
Where did he get the bed slider for the packouts??
I am honestly surprised that the Milwaukee pack out hasn’t caught on more in the camping/over landing world.
It's a solid setup... overlanders seem to like "name brand" stuff in that world better 😂
Great video that served as an ASMR for my OCD. Do you know what slider system that is? Thanks!
HA! I'll check with Joe on what that is and let you know!
I was wondering about the sliding system too
They are ICECO slide mounts (made for the fridge, but repurposed brilliantly for the pack out bins)
