I bought the Ultrahuman ring because I wanted to track my sleep. It doesn't work for me because I am retired and in poor health so I usually sleep 3 times a day. If I'm up at 2 am, I can't access the report on the sleep I had from 5 pm to 10 pm. It says, "Waiting for sleep data" and although I did my exercises around 6 pm, it says, "Movement Locked" Also, it often says "Ring is not connected" and I don't know why it does that but data is lost. It also said it had oxygen stats in Beta but everyone's stats read 98%-100% saturation. According to my sleep studies and to my pulse oximeter, my O2 is never higher than 96%. All in all, it's a complete waste of money. I wonder how it works for people on shift work? I find the Wellue Ring is exactly what I need the most. It accurately tracks my O2 and my pulse rate every minute I wear it. I love that it will also wake me up if my oxygen gets too low. The only problem is it doesn't track my sleep stages.
Im looking for a ring to get accurate (as much as possible) with real time vital stats for chronic illness health reasons. Would you recommend Ringconn for this function?
Bought the Ultrahuman Ring Air (in Silver) before watching this video, you’re right about the charger- dropped it off the charger whilst charging it somehow, unable to locate it, and just repurchased the ring in Gold. Fingers crossed the second time around (as these are not cheap) but glad I sort of got the right choice! The app has so much information it’s mind-blowing!
Clutch. I was still waiting on customer service from Oura so I could send it back. Couldnt get the sub to go through, Oura doesnt want my money so gonna send it back. Wish I would have just bought the UH on prime day 😭
@@dominickmoura165 hey! If you're looking for another economical option, RingConn is selling gen 2 in Sept. If you get in now w a dollar deposit, they'll knock it from 299 to 199 as an early bird price. Supposed to have updated sensors, 10-12 day battery life and 90% accuracy for sleep apnea. I made the deposit and will return UH if it's buggy or otherwise too inaccurate (as we should any tech purchase). Hope that helps 🙌🏾
Just something for women to consider/keep in mind with period tracking & Oura, check the T&Cs and who they may share that data with if you live in the US (just in terms of changes in different states to reproduction & legalities, etc.). Great video - I'm leaning toward the ultrahuman, as the seamless feel/weight is appealing & seems to hit the sweet spot across the board. And a good point you made about accuracy, and not getting too hung up on exacts, and just use it for baselining and broader tracking as in 'when I do X I see this measure go up/down/no change', etc.
Thanks for the infirmative video. Im looking for a ring for medical reasons. So finding one with more accurate stats is my main interest but struggling to find unbiased reviews.
Don't rely on a smart ring for important medical stats... Not sure of your situation, but the tech is miles away from being medical grade and none are accurate enough to rely on for anything even remotely important.
I had a problem with my oura ring at just after a year old. I emailed them asking if they could offer a discount for a returning customer, and they sent me a new ring at no charge. Their customer service is a+ in my experience. I also have a ring con for a little over a year now and the battery is still holding a 6-7 day charge.
Can only support this: I live in Europe so I have a two year warranty. Battery didn’t charge on the first one after 1,5 years. Got a new one. This one didn’t connect any more after 11 months. Got another one for free.
I do like the Oura 3 I have but there’s a significant additional problem with their service for my lifestyle. I spend time in different parts of the country (US) during any given year and had to order additional chargers. They took WEEKS to get to me, in some cases close to a month. Given the cost and subscription, anything over ten days is unacceptable. Ideally a couple of days should be the target delivery.
Great video thank you.. I tried the aura ring twice and I'm a terrible sleeper so to me that was the most important data and many times I sat up and didn't move for 2 hours just listening to a podcast and it said I was sleeping the whole time. I've always thought that these rings are better for someone that sleeps 7 to 9 hours
May I Ask what’s the point of airplane mode? It doesn’t have cellular or WiFi so it’s basically to disable the Bluetooth? And if the Bluetooth is disabled how do the app communicate with the ring to deactivate airplane mode? I’m puzzled. Also do any of the rings have find my feature.
Bluetooth can actually be worse than cellular and wifi if you are emf sensitive. I don't like to sleep with something on my hand next to my head that is beaming my brain all night. To take it out of airplane mode you just put it on the charger and re connect.
You wear it in airplane mode, it conitnues to track and log the data in its memory (the memory only lasts around 24 hours or so, slighly longer but not 2 nights of sleep) and then when you put it on the charger it will sync all that 24 hours+ of data. This is for people who actually follow the real science, bluetooth is not benign despite the avalanche of propganda that claims it is. Is it goign to kill you over night? no. Its just like everything else. is the Red40 in the cereal the kids eat going to kill them overnight too? No it wont. Is the high fructose corn syrup going to? No. The problem with people who arent into alternative narratives is they act like smething is only bad for you if it will acutely damage you in a very short period, but they acknowledge that processed foods, chemicals etc which also take years to truly affect your biology are bad. Radio frequnecy at the levels bluetooth transmits is absolutely shown in studies to be damaging.
The thing I hate about wearables is that you have to charge them almost daily. Once you forget to charge, or put back in after charging it becomes a nuisance.
Hold up. I had no idea some rings could actually connect to CGMs. I've been wracking my brain trying to get consistent data onto my smartwatch, but it's pretty inconsistent and drains the hell out of the watch battery for whatever reason.
Does the RingConn charger also work for the Oura/Ultrahuman? A charging case is such a no brainer, I don't understand why RingConn is the only company that has one.
FYI. Your biohacking document link isn’t working. Tried clicking on two different vids and it takes me to a page that says file requested does not exist. Thought you’d want to know. Also I appreciate this review especially. I e wanted a ring, but wasn’t sure which to get. Now I know what I want exactly.
I have had my Oura ring for 7 years now and it will only hold the charge for 6-8 hours. So if I put it on seconds before I lay down we are all good. So the charger is at my bedside. But I forget to return it to the charger in the morning so it is flat for the next evening. The customer service people do respond but with the classical standard AI generated text. So I'm relying on my Fitbit which is not as accurate for sleep tracking. And I HATE THE RA RA AMERICANISM. I don't need your 'good girl gold star' shit. Just give me the stats

Love my Ringconn, does everything I need conveniently. Can't wait to see what they do next. Worth supporting the company. Thanks for the great video!
I love my RingConn gen 2 I believe it’s the best one out there. And it’s accurate compared to the Apple Watch.👍🏼

yeah it's crazy good
Sounds like the $265 I paid for the ultrahuman is a steal. Prime day plus a 10% Amazon coupon. Will see how the battrry fares. Thanks for the review

Which one skews the sleep data the most from movement (squishing, pressuring etc) during the night?

Is this the RingConn 1 or 2? And are we still unclear which of the three rings is most accurate (particularly for sleep tracking)?
