Last season before injury he was actually a lead leader in second chance points. Boxing out has always been a problem for him, but to be honest it's an NBA problem. As great of a rebounder that Drummond is, he doesn't even box out for defensive boards. I wish nurse would have them do box out drills
This is a Daryl Morey production. Let Embid get back to being an all nba player and trade him. This team is not good. Great job Daryl making the sixers the oldest team in the nba
Not saying his body language was right by any means, but it has to be a little frustrating for him knowing that when they lose ALL the blame will go on him. Literally anything Embiid does at this point will be criticized lol.
He completely deserves it and it's justified. He is a lazy player who puts himself over the team and prioritizes Make a Wish accolades and being coddled by his team more than he does about winning. No sympathy should be given to him under any circumstances.
That's the price of being the face of your team. He's supposed to be a leader on the court for Philly, and when things get rough the leaders have to answer. He gets paid tens of millions of dollars each year, he can handle some online criticism.
I actually feel bad for the guy. Greatest talent in the history of the sport, gets super unlucky with freak injuries like broken eye sockets, but plays through all of it anyway because he wants to win so badly, deals with all the insane controversy from the worst franchise in sports history, and still manages to carry a G-league team every year. Then what thanks does this guy get? Constantly bashed and criticized beyond any normal player because the NBA hates the Sixers for the process era or something. There isn’t a single person who has done what he’s done and gone through all of this that wouldn’t just give up. And by give up, asking for a trade counts. Even Kobe asked for a trade. Every star player has left their team in the modern NBA. Yet he stays loyal and this is what happens. Just goes to show you how warped everyone values are these days.
I can't stand the constant scapegoating of Embiid but I can't defend him on this. He brings all of that negativity on himself when he does this type of stuff.
All im gonna say is Embiid isn’t the only upset with Martin….not understanding why he wanted to plead to be a starter and still turns around and averages 4 a game.. Im not too fond of Embiid rn but it seems like everyone hops on the hate train nd looks for anything they can complain about…….If they won you probably would’ve said that was him being a good leader 😂 youll be glazin soon as things start looking up
Ngl ive been hate watching the 76rs since the knicks series, the biggest difference is in Embiids floor game. Hes not energetic on defense and his rebounding has fallen off. Sure he was never a shot blocker but he had a presence in the paint that detered defenders from driving. Now hes more of a tall obstacle drill than a rim protecting big.
Clearly nobody said anything about his pouting, sighing, thwarting in the meeting, can you imagine if it was Oubre who threw that ball out of bounds 😂😂😂😂 personally I think NN has lost the locker room he called that meeting Lowry laying goose eggs left, right & center but have the nerve to call a team meeting... doesn't make sense
didnt catch the game but nah that body language is nasty for real, dont like that as our "leader" and now that i think about it.....embiid is growing to be simply our BEST player, while maxey is growing into our LEADER being our 1B.
You can be pissed off all you want but you can’t just stand there and give up on a play… HE’S THEIR BEST PLAYER!!!!!!! The coaches and his teammates are watching him and it’s annoying and deflating to the energy and moral of the team. Have you people ever played an organized sport in your life?
I had so much hope for Ben Simmons and wanted him to be successful in Philadelphia. It was about midway through the 4th quarter of game 7 against Atlanta and we are fighting to stay alive and he still refuses to attempt a shot when I said “yeah he has to go” At 1:50 in this video once I seen that sequence in the game I have the same feeling towards Embiid. “Yeah it’s over time to move on from him” We want a championship. I want a championship. A player like this could never lead you to a championship as the best player. Not even as a second option. The Embiid era is over. It’s time to accept it and try to pivot and hope for something like OKC when they traded Pg and Russ. That is a better hope than the idea Embiid will lead any team to a chip.
People keep talking about body langauge, and I agree, it's bad; but all superstars behave like this when your team sucks. Look at Steph throwing his mouth guard out of frustration or lbj pouting out of frustration. Embiid is not at there level, but the truth is when you win it doesn't matter. Sixers just need to win
So what are you saying ? We lost cause of Embiid body language ? There is literally about 5 to 10 clearly visible things that weren’t right in this game but the best thing a sixers fan could talk about on his video is the body language of the only player who made the game relevant. It's immature frustration. A 30 year old man has to rise above the adversity at some point. He started to in the second half. All you can hope for is for the adversity to shape the guy.

@chimaebinama3192 Hopefully its not the roller coaster of being hooked. It has a nasty mental component if true. Hopefully it's just a garden variety athletic struggle and nothing more.
