- This tutorial will show how to easily uninstall or remove your product key on Windows 10. Also a tutorial for how to change Windows product key.
Command used in video: slmgr.vbs -upk
Activation is a protection mechanism implemented in Windows 10 and earlier versions against piracy. It first appeared in Windows XP and exists with different changes and improvements in Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. When activation is successful, usually it indicates that your copy of Windows is genuine. There may be times when you need to deactivate your copy of Windows 10 in order to transfer your license to another PC. Here is how you can deactivate your copy of Windows 10.
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops,and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems.Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).

Nice video, but I think you missed something important. You only showed how to remove the key from the system, but you forgot how to remove the key from the registry also.
Here what you should have proposed for instructions:
Open command prompt as administrator by typing cmd in search.
Type following commands.
slmgr -dli (This will tell you the type of key you have.)
slmgr.vbs /upk (This will uninstall your key)
slmgr.vbs /cpky (This will clear any registry key with your licence)
Maybe it's time to update your video.

bro in the list it tells me that there is product ID and product key..... after i do your tutorial there is only product ID and the product key is removed and there is error code its (0x8007007b) .....any one knows how to fix the error??

@@surge364 it didn't, i just did some research and most prebuilts and laptops have something called OEM product keys and OEM keys can't be transferred to another PC so yeah 😟 i just have it unactivated now I'm saving up for a key

Hey man. I used this method because I had a bootleg version of windows and wasn't sure if it was safe. It deactivated it but it got activated again after a little bit. Is there a fix to that?

If you goto same settings page and click on troubleshoot under the windows activation & if you have same motherboard the windows copy will get acitivated.
so, we are really not erasing anything from the motherboard though the windows key is removed temoporarily.
so, this is not good

Well you cant change the lock screen wallpaper and the desktop wallpaper. You also cant make your taskbar small, or remove the action center. (There is a way to change your desktop wallpaper if you have an unactivated copy. Just right click on the image that you downloaded and click set as desktop background)

so now we can use the same key some where else now? is it posiible. in my case i used one key in parallel windows, for some reasin i had to install mac OS again and lost everthing, now i installed parallel and windows again but can not use that same key any more... any solution to that???

I have a message that says that the license could not be activated because I did not have a valid key... but it gives me a "solve problem" button and it activates windows again... it does not let me enter another key...

No just Just restricts the Windows Functionality but if some apps & games interfered with, then get a Product Key... The Genuine one

Yes, there is an option to activate it again if same motherboard is used.

Clicking on troubleshoot will reactivate previous windows software
I just installed Linux on my computer and I had windows 10 on it. I'm gonna use this video to deactivate windows 10 later. Hopefully I can sell the product key for at least 80 bucks to put towards more ram or something.

It will not fi anything to your data, it just removes the serial key of your Windows making it a non-activated product. Nothing more.

is this possible if the key is oem on a laptop and you wanna move it to a new desktop
No it won't, as OEM key is attached to BIOS and which changes with motherboard, so if u change laptop or technically motherboard u can't keep same OEM key with u.
