Dude! Just built my first computer last night. Your OEM key method saved me over a hundred bucks. I aint buying no jankey keys, so Microsoft wouldve got to bend me over again without a reach-around. Thank you!
I can find my Windows Product Key by going to Start Menu and type System and then click on it and there i find my Product Key in Windows 10. But i really like your tutorials, appreciate it man.
@@george_wrld_ luckily theres a window media creation tool we can download to a usb drive so we dont need our old windows key. If it wasnt for that, I wouldnt be able to type this message.

I have a digital license, associated to my MS Account, and I've changed my motherboard three times. I simply inform MS that I had hardware change and they activated my OS each time.
The first thing I do with any new software is to copy the entire software CD or DVD onto a NAS or external HD. I then copy the product key as a text file in the same folder with the file name ProductKey. I put away the CD or DVD. I install the software from the NAS or external HD. I always have the Product key with any software. For software that does not use CD or DVD, such as download-only software, I send an email with the registration key or product key to myself and save it in a special folder. I never have to look for the product key.
hey man, a few days ago i tried installing windows 10, i almost thought i ruined my computer because my hard drive was a EFI hard drive because i had linux a while ago, but your video on how to change it back to ntfs really helped, thank you a lot!
Thank you for clarifying the difference between the digital and retail keys, along with showing how to find the retail keys. Now I might be able to conclude my argument with MS :) Not that it matters too much as I'm swapping to Linux. I've just had it with MS telemetry, legacy bugs and now the wonderful new one of having the folder window pop up for no reason.
I bought mini pc with Windows 11 preinstalled and activated. It says digital license. So if my SSD fails , do i need to buy a new digital license ? I cant reuse my current digital license as no method to retrieve the digital key, is that correct ?
just bought a new laptop and its a bit older and i want to install linux on it. With the second method in the video i found out the digital key that this laptop has. its been said that the digital key is tied to the system... so if linux doesnt work out, and i go back to windows then i could use the same key?
I have a Retail Key(7-Pro), converted to Digital license. Allows me to install 7, 10, or 11 on any hardware. This did require a phone chat with Microsoft.
It shows an installed key but yet my office is running out? Can I reinstall it or do anything with it? I know we bought the "lifelong" version like 6 years ago :( please help
The product key did show up with Digital License through the Command Prompt. It is there. We need the product key for digital license to upgrade hard drive and reinstall windows. Alternatively will Microsoft account automatically register the product key associated with the computer after just a hard drive upgrade?
in showkey plus it says i have window key present in firmware but it dont say my key and also in command prompt its the same because it dosnt show my key just gives me same comand back anyone know how to solve it if do plz help me
Actually Brian I find the licencing of the Microsoft products quite ambiguous unless one has a good insight and knowledge of the system they use. I found that when I upgraded to Windows 11 Pro from Windows 10 Pro on my main laptop it would not activate and I had to access the Microsoft support site here in Australia by phone and the techie accessed my laptop by remote control (I think it was logmein access) and he installed the generic code as my activation code. So I am still confused as to why the original licence would not just transfer over from 10 to 11as I was led to understand was the way of upgrading the system. They (Microsoft) have made it so complicated for the (I guess) the main body of users of their OS products it is impossible to just do what I ad been doing.
Finally I got it from "KeyR,o̲rg" I like some of the transitions, but sometimes they're a bit too much and are seemingly random. Since we use these persistent elements that transition across pages to indicate some kind of relationship between the previous and the next states, some of yourdfdfdfd transitions confuse me because I can't immediately see what the relationship is. For example 2:23 of the selectable tiles (which weren't selected) transition into being two switches... does that mean anything? are they related in some way? I see this as random and a bad use of the design language. However, at 1:14 I like the transition from switches to the ticks on a paper, that makes sense to me. Epic presentation tho
First let me start by saying I hate MS with every bone in my body!! If I could slap satya upside the head and not go to jail I'd be complete. So, I have an Intel nuc, I went to do a reset this pc and it said it couldn't find the recovery drive??? I didn't do anything with it. It is an Intel NUC and the key is embedded in the BIOS. But, the recovery partition is gone... I tried installing a legal copy of 10 and it says that key has already been used. Did MS give it to me up the wahoo? Let me repeat...I HATE MS WITH AN UNBRIDLED PASSION!! Thanks for the video....
I found my product key ..yay! ..I input the key to activate ..it didn’t work ..my copy of windows came on my refurbed Dell computer ..it just stopped working one day so I eventually got to the point where I did a reset ..and rebooted from a partitioned copy of windows stored on the hard drive ..I decoded the product key ..and turns out the key matched the same one on the sticker ..it still doesn’t work ..I’m tired of this bs ..
Same bro, windows 11 education has a digital license and is lagging on my potato pc then i searched the web then revert to windows 10. Now i can't do shi as i can't personalize or use some features because i can't activate it.

Doesn't anyone keep their Product Keys? Regardless of where or how you got it, most legit products come with a key. 🤔
For example My HP laptop didn't come with windows out of the factory.
Same I got a Mac before I understood how essential windows is for modification
I did keep mine, but during a move it was lost 💀
