Everyone btw the OEM can be tied to your Microsoft account. So just sign in on new computer and it can transfer over. Even if that doesn't work Microsoft will usually help with the transfer for free. Don't buy a new windows key when you don't have to.

For whatever reason the usual command prompt and powershell command to display my product key failed (no console output). But the free utility mentioned here does work. There’s no installation, just an executable.

Hi, got a couple of windows 10pro keys last year and thanks to your instructions, I got my Home OS upgraded to Pro. Later windows upgraded the 10Pro to 11Pro on one of them while other didn't as system wasn't supported. volume_mak licenses are for business customers who buy in volume. They get a single key that can activate multiple copies of Windows. They are not supposed to be sold to end users. So unless you are a business who has purchased a volume license as such, you have the wrong type of license.
This is very helpful although I've noticed some things. I'm pretty certain your Windows 10 key that you partly blurred is the same as mine from what I see. My brothers windows 10 also has the exact same key.

Wallahi I just transferred a OEM license from a surface pro 7 to a Ryzen 5 desktop I just built and it worked. I do not know how but it worked OEM just transferred. So at least try it.

Same. Software is not needed to find the key. If you ran this software, treat your pc like it was compromised.
REALLY surprised my HP Pavilion came with a Retail version of the key. Made things a thousand times easier for me. lol.

The solution what i found is, in order to work this command you must open cmd - run as administrator.

It might take some time for Microsoft activation servers to update this change and then deactivate the computer 1
