  • A quick "hack" for some that struggle with fat loss is just to put on some muscle.
This increases our body's energy demands so we burn more calories, even when we're resting.

My ED finally got slightly better and I recently tried going running to improve my cardio instead of losing weight for the first time. The big error was to accept my dad biking alongside me. 5 minutes in and he says "to run better you'd have to lose some weight in your legs" and I flipped. He, alongside other factors, made my body image so bad with comments like that during my teenage years so him saying that got me pissed. But I grew up since and I signaled to him that those comments wouldn't fly anymore and also explained to him that you can't just lose weight in some parts of your body. I am at a perfectly healthy weight and I am finally almost comfortable with it. Videos like that reinforce that healthy way of thinking so thank you!

    Hi,
I've been in/out of excersise for years. Always trying to lose some belly and gain some musle. And everytime the life took it away from me (as IT developer I sit in front of PC at least 9 hours a day (plus I'm DMing almost 4 year long campaign of DnD so that doesn't help either)). Not to mention my 8 months old daughter (she's a blessing).
    Back to topic.
My weight fluctuated aroung 95 - 102 kg troughout the years.
I tried jogging on my own, going to the gym and eating just veggies (yeah, I was/am dumb).
Then I stumbled upon your channel and your website. Your positive attitude and way of life just made me smile.
Since then I've started doing stretching and back and chest excersises like you've shown in your vids.
On top of that I'm doing core excercises by channel Tone and Tighten (not sponsored) and I've started jogging by training regime of "the art of faster run" by Julian Gorter.
I've been sleeping well, eating good (finally some MEAT) and I am looking forward to excersise.
And I'm at 90kg and more fit than ever.
    TL/DR
THANK YOU for being just the way you are.

how tall are you? and how much do you weigh? im genuinely curious how 3000+ calories can give you that type of body while im struggling at 1800 calories at 5'7" 172lbs 😂
no hate. i just wanna eat like that again too

Exercise and eat more, cutting calories that low throws your body into starvation mode so it hangs on to every calorie…

This is what I've been doing. I started out with losing a lot of fat (used to be overweight), that stalled out, so I started focusing on muscle building instead. It was working until my accident 7 years ago. I've been maintaining until I can back to the gym though.

And not only will your extra muscle burn more calories on a day to day basis, the lifting itself is of course an additional source of calorie burn. Personally, I love my bike because simply riding it to and from work every day helps me shed mad weight, but I really do need to start doing strength stuff again.
