I keep coming back to this recipe time and time again, never fails, thank you!
Love it.. of course 🙏🏼
@@DishesandFishes Thank you! They turned out delicious! I don't like garlic so I used rosemary and onion salt and it was delicious!!
I'm a chef. Not all of your info was up to kitchen specs. HOLD UP. I LIKE THAT. You showed people how to make it easily in their home and streamlined it so it's foolproof. We need more of this. I always have to simplify things for people working in a home kitchen. Keep doin it, my dude.
Thanks man
If you’re a chef why are you learning how to cook 😆
@@thymetocook3711 because chef use recipes too. They just remember them and change them from time to time. What do you think we go to school to learn to be creative? No, we learn everything from the past that seems to work best and improve on it.
A wise man learns from his mistakes. A wiser man learns from others mistakes.
I’m using he’s recipe right now. And it’s smelling really good
best lamb chops instructions and recipe. been coming back on this video over and over. Thank you.
I appreciate that 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
thank you for not making this over dramatic and filled with the tiniest details. Quick and to the point, well done :)
Of course haha
@@DishesandFishes I made it and it was perfect, passed my 18 yr olds taste test n he was even bragging about it on his social medias. #RackofLambfortheWin !
@@cbawake5312 that’s what I love to hear !!
Whats fun is to introduce lamb to folks who have never had lamb before. When my sons High School buds came over one time I had a leg of lamb, and none of them had never tasted lamb before! I couldn’t believe it ! They were all teammates. Now, I’m a legend and before big games, they trickle in and I feed those puppies.
“I’m a legend 😂” that’s great memories too.. Good stuff
Awesome video
Tip: for those who like presentation. You can cover the bone ends with foil while roasting to prevent charring and keep it clean.
Followed your instructions and recipe for Mother’s Day dinner this evening. Came out perfect. Thank you 😊
Comments like that is why I make videos.. thanks for sharing!! happy Mother’s Day
Made this for my parents and they loved it thank you so much 💗
Easter 2021 morning and my first time making rack of lamb. Always bought lamb chops. Miss having those during bbq season because the state I currently live in can't get much lamb. No chops of any kind a week ago, but I wasn't going to let inexperience keep me from grabbing rack of lamb for Easter.
I searched youtube for how to cook these, and was lucky to choose yours from the list. Simple is just what I need. Now the rest of my day is open for building up an appetite.
That’s good stuff .. thanks for sharing
You made it so easy. Man every other video is SO complicated with ingredients that I don't even like. This is simple and amazing. My lamb is marinating right now in your rosemary, garlic and olive oil mix and I can't wait to cook it 🤤
Hell yes, that’s what it’s all about
I agree . rosemary garlic salt and pepper for the win. i usually eat em with roast veges and 12 beers
😂
That’s what I was looking for. A nice simple recipe. Thank you 😊

Good recipe, thanks man
Of course
Amazing result! Just perfect lamb rack
I knew you were gonna say rosemary and garlic! I knew i guy in Jax beach that swore by that for lamb👍
Definitely using this method super simple will report back after eating it
Great recipe. Simple easy and quick. I pretty much make mine the same with 2 added things. 1. I scour the fat into little diamonds and 2 I use thyme in the rub as well
There you go
great video. trying this tonight
Awesome
Imma bout to get down tomorrow thanks for info
The price of lamb these days are crazy, but I finally found one on sale. And I’m back to this video for my go to recipe! Thanks for the vid bud!
Glad to see you back
Great video dude
Had a random craving for this 🤷♀️ goin’ w/rosemary & thyme (salt, garlic) & the mint i’m craving...... is goin in my mojito lol 😜😋👍
Awesome there you go
pulled it out at 125 and it peaked at 144 resting. Pretty delicious. after my potatoes and peas are done i might cut lamb and sear each side to see what it tastes like.
Sounds bomb
Great info will be trying this with a rack of goat this weekend :)
Yeap 123 degrees was the magic number. I have the same thermometer. Nice to have a remote so you do not have to sit by the oven. served long grain wild rice and it was a killer meal.
Awesome man
Good video well done. Thanks for making me hungry. I remember having this during my Junior prom in high school with my date, won’t forget how everything turned out.
They hooked it up at the prom!
@@DishesandFishes more likely at the restaurant where me and my date had dinner before the prom.
4th time coming back for recipe and it’s delicious. Added a sprinkle of brown sugar to give it a sweet flavor but not necessary at all
Love that.. hope you come back again! 😂
Great video. Making these tomorrow and was looking for ideas. Also, go Pens
👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Australian Lamb, and a Pittsburgh fan, this has to be the best video
😂😂
Thanks got my grass fed lamb rack from New Zealand ready to go after watching this I’m excited to see how it turns out
Love to hear that .. hope it was good
@@DishesandFishes was to die for thank u my first time making it and it turned out perfect 🤩
@@inny2013 nice work 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Awesome 😘❤️🥰
Thank you
I wish I could find a rack of lamb for that cheap. Cheapest I found here in Japan was about ¥5,000 ($35)for 450g.
I know it ..
Your videos are great! I subscribed and liked! What temperature should my oven be at when cooking the lamb?
In the video I like 375 because it gets the fat nice and crispy
Best. recipe. ever.
Awesome
@dishesandfishes what dipping sauce do you eat it with? I love cabernet sauce! So bomb
Most of the time I keep the dips minimum because the lamb is so juicy. I have beef stock in my freezer a lot and would like just make a reduced jus
Good video bruz but the best way to season lamb is salt. If you have good lamb salt is literally all that is needed. Sincerely from an aussie who eats lamb 4x a week
Love it
thank you
No problem
I like putting in the smoker until the internals are around 100-110F. Then I sear it in a pan like its steak until done. Great way to crispen and carmelize the fat cap too
Delicious
Cries out for Dijon mustard before the bread crumbs.
I don’t get it
@@DishesandFishes Coat in mustard then bread crumbs then final cook. It is how the Michelin star restaurants do it. Similar to how we get a a rub to stick to Boston butt
Might be better to combine the salt and pepper in the rosemary garlic oil. That's my thought!!!
Your awesome
I’m enjoying mine as I watch your video. I only use pepper and adobe along with Worcestershire and let it marinate over night.
Awesome
You da best
It's being cooked right now in the oven. By your recipe. thank you buddy.
Love it man. Enjoy
I definitely to follow your instructions for rack of lamb on Valentine’s Day coming up. Thanks. By the way you are most handsome man on you tube. 😘
I "EFFING" LOVE YOU! YOU JUST GAVE ME LIFE, NOW I'M ABOUT TO PREPARE MY RACK OF LAMB PROFESIONALLY PERFECT! OMG OMG! ... I THANK GOD FOR YOU, ... AND THANK YOU TOO! ☺️ I Googled recipes and how to prepare the rack of lamb and I saw it by way of the words and I recorded that in my mind then I said OMG I forgot I could look up a RUclips video what I searched for how to cook a rack of lamb and my first suggestion I take that back my third suggestion was you that was an ad a bull crap suggestion and then you so you're really the first suggestion yeah I thank you so much young man God bless you
Love you too
Finally, someone that knows that the resting temperature rise is more than 5 degrees. Nice video.
Thank you
Great video. So you don’t sear in a pan first to get some colour?
You could. Cooking at 375 I find gets it nice and crispy without searing
It's in the oven now! Hoping my daughter will love it 😅
She will 👊🏼
She is still eating.. Omg!! They are perfect. Thank you!!!!
She just went in for seconds 😳
Thank you 😊
Do you wash off the rack before rubbing it down with seasoning?
You could, just pat it dry after
Whole Foods - $25 a lb
Safeway - $15 a lb
Costco - $10 a lb
Costco has them back in stock, but at the time I got mine at Safeway because everyone was sold out during the holidays. I never bought "Whole Foods" rack of lamb. I'm cool with Costco :)
How do you cook it? Which option in the oven (bake, convect, etc)? At the end you just roast it? Please advise
Bake .. my oven doesn’t do convection
Thanks, but how long do you cook it?
30 - 40 min at 375… talk about at 6:22
Holy…! Your recipe looks so simple and the finished product looks delectable.
I worked at a restaurant years ago where we had these on the menu as an appetizer, but they were blackened and served with -I can't remember the sauce, but it worked, so delicious. I've always been intimidated (for some reason) to try making them on my own. Lately, I've been going through some of my fav YT chefs, but now, I think I've hit on the one I'm going t try. I'm going to do two, one your recipe, the other w my blackening seasoning (my own mix.) okayyy… hold my hair, I'm going in. btw, subscribed, and I'm looking forward to checking out more of your recipes!
Awesome.. I’m making it tonight too coincidentally haha 👍🏼👌🏼
@@DishesandFishes I guess it’s that time of year: the cute Easter Bunny brings us treats, then we grill and eat the cute baby lamb, lol. I wish we cd post pix here. I’ll be taking pix of mine, maybe I’ll post on IG. You there?
@@sfbayareagirl yup.. dishes and fishes there too
Can I substitute the rosemary with parsley flakes?
Sure.. or dried rosemary even
Never trim the fat between the bones if it hasn't been already. Extra goodness and flavour and more to chew on!! Just my opinion!! Also, I would recommend letting it get to room temperature before cooking also, just like beef. Great video 👍
I add a little cracked pepper Dijon mustard to the olive oil and rosemary and garlic sometimes
Delicious
Is there a reason you don't put the salt on until right before you cook it? I wonder if it's better to salt at the same time you put the marinade on
Sometimes salt can effect the moisture content etc if it sits for a long time on the meat
Fast forward to May 2022 and the cheapest I found in CT was $14.49/pound. Inflation hittin hard
Absolutely
I did try them me and my nephew love them, first time having them an acquired taste
