    The shear amount of consideration this man has shown his viewers by spelling and not accidentally triggering their Alexas AND the baffling stupidity of the comments that don't understand why is amazing.

    I work at Amazon there used to be an incident that they put an Alexa ads during Super Bowl which calling out Alexa name, the service almost down due to the sudden volume spike generated from millions of Alexa device in people’s home.

    In terms of the temperature sensors the echo 4th gen has a temperature sensor built in so if you had one or more of those that can act as your temperature sensor. I currently use it with a routine to control my nest thermostat.

    He won’t say “Alexa” so your Alexa divices aren’t triggered while watching the video.

    Is there a "Set" button so you are not constantly cycling through the heat and cool while trying to find the correct screen. Thanks

    I purchased Amazon smart thermostat then installed it during the winter worked great then came the heat a few days ago and now my AC doesn't turn on . I checked all the wires looks good but then went on line and found a lot of folks had the same problem had to replace it with something else . I guess I got skunked. .

    I bought one didn’t cost a nickel because of the rebate with the electric company. I have a 2 wire oil burner and it works fine. I just had to connect an $8.24 V AC doorbell transformer to the C terminal and the RC terminal for power that way I didn’t have to spend a lot of money for the ridiculous price that Amazon and all the others charge for the stupid transformer.
    As far as the crappy adjustments on the thermostat, I don’t give a hoot 🦉the main reason I bought it was so I didn’t have to look at the stupid thing. I adjust everything from either my Apple laptop, iPad ,iPhone, CarPlay,TV or my watch so who the hell needs to look at the box on the wall. I have it 3 months works great.👨‍🔧📲💻⌚️📺🚘😊

    • @ericu808
      @ericu808 Год назад +1

      Yes it does. Got my unit back in June. Been pretty happy. Example if I set my ring alarm to AWAY the thermostat set the setpoint to something that uses way less resources (you actually pick what temp you want in the app. So you can make it hit a setpoint of 80 in the summer if you wanted. Just as an example) that way you save money.

    • @lruss2004
      @lruss2004 Год назад +1

      I was thinking the same thing at first but then figured it out after a few seconds. If he SAYS "Alexa" his Alexa that he has in the house will keep responding. So he's spelling "A-l-e-x-a" so that it doesn't activate Alexa. :)
