I bought my Gen2 the day after Christmas '23. The next week, the Gen 3 was released...
Mine has the grip for G19 mags, but they also make a slightly longer one for G17 mags.
IN FACT, they also make a 'universal' grip that can accept most other common pistol mags, including CZ, S&W, Beretta and Sig; all that's needed is to change the mag catch. I think that is a special order, though.
File the Mag release button flat with a file.
It's Free and it works 😊
Thanks for your thoughts. I have had a gen1 FOREVER. Love it. Did a bunch of little custom stuff to allow a light, etc. I JUST ordered the gen 3. The Glock mags, folding, and now optics compatibility make this a great option. I will probably use a pistol dot for the compact size. Holosun 507 or similar.
You sound a lot happier in this vid.
Wait, was I unhappy sounding recently? I definitely sound tired in some videos I know. I've been putting in more hours at work recently.
Mr. Misha - you are brilliant. I never considered a Smurf-blue type of gun... But it could really work on some exotic or weird firearms and rhyme especially well with their aesthetic... Made me chuckle too - the Smurf gun concept. Always great videos brother.
I saw it’s offered in Navy blue
Thanks Misha......... .
sure, anytime, cheers
Your comment at the end is great. Silicone would be a better material than rubber as far as heat resistance is concerned (think baking sheet liners, oven mitts, cooking utensils).
Neat
Been looking at these. Might have to get one.
Thank you
welcome, we just felt like getting out for some air since it was a holiday
Its neat, but I love my Gen two, I use the iron sights on it for hog hunts. Its 40 s&w. Couple upgrades but not too crazy. Quick to deploy, east to store. I have other guns for optics. I think the Gen 2 should still be an option from KelTek. It's my favorite KelTek design
For now, yes they are still offering the Gen2 too.
@@misha5670 super cool.
Crazy the gen 2s are actually involved in the Russian Ukraine war since KelTek donated 200k worth. Sad to hear about the Odessa vendor. Good on KelTek though!
Good video. Thanks for posting.
I have the Gen 3 and I love it, though the rotating front end is wasted on me, since I only run folding AR iron sights on it. Mine groups phenomenally well.
Just ordered one from psa for three two nine.
Killer deal!
Your affinity for KELTEC is interesting Misha. I wouldn’t figure they’d be your jam.
"it's a trigger". lol
Exactly, it does indeed do trigger things.
Mine is very accurate, trigger 4.5lbs, incredibly fun to shoot with red dot. With gold dots I think it’s a great HD tool. Paid 410.00
I wanted one of these for a long time although i never really handled one, a couple months ago i found one used for a decent price at an LGS and bought it … this thing is light and cool and moderately practical but honestly it is not fun to shoot ! For a 9mm it kicks too much and the stock is not comfortable, i don’t hate it but don’t love it at the same time, i cant see myself taking it out to the range for plinking
I noticed that when Mr. Misha fired it. The recoil seemed a little violent for a 9mm carbine...
They aren’t enjoyable to shoot but for those that travel for work, they’re excellent to have. Fits nicely in a computer bag setting in the passenger seat with some extra loaded mags…so I’ve heard 😉
@@justanothergunnerd8128 i have many 9mm carbines and this one has the worst recoil impulse! A 9mm shouldnt recoil that much … i’m an AK guy i can handle recoil pretty good but for a 9mm this shouldnt be a thing
@@stevennewman4778 someone i “know” might or might not have a draco under the seat
hello friend lookes at it today
Would you still buy it today?
No jams, can’t be mad at that, nice vid bro! #2ABuddy
Yep, fair is fair and it ran just dandy.
Do you know any background on Fedarms? I know the ceo is in jail now for illegal destructive devices. They were the ones dumping those really awful polish kits a few years ago. Any word why they had so many kits before they were burned in a fire? Bought some polish kits and found some old posts on the gb polish kits. Any opinion on fire damage AK’s? I know they are robust but I would be sketched to build one of those kits. EDIT, noticed you have a AK only account now, I should have posted over there.
do you ever show where your rounds are hitting ????
is it accurate ?
anyone can just empty mags in the woods
Misha, sorry off topic but I need help dating an old wasr 10. Has palm swells, spor weld on muzzle nut, darling varnished looking wood, super old. Romarm from cugir and imported by Cai in 2003 as scribed in after serial number.
so um...2003. Honestly nothing else you said helps date a WASR. Plus people change things around so unless you, yourself bought it; no way of knowing for sure how it was sold originally.
@@misha5670 haha dang myself for being brief, has no magwell dimples, spot weld thread protector, shellac furniture, serial ends in .-...60-2003,
I have a SUB200 Gen 2, and not equal to one of my VEPR, Colt, Bushmaster (original) or FM's, it solves a problem. At this price point, it is perfect in a back pack stowed in the vehicle if I am stranded in a urban civil unrest situation. Mine functions perfectly 100% with various HP ammo and Glock mags, and with irons it has a 50 yard practical capability. Am I wrong? Please don't tell me to store a $3K firearm (an SBR equivalent with premium optics, etc.) in my vehicle when this serves the intended function. Recoil....yes, it is a open-bolt blowback...heavy bolt...big surprise.
From a legal POV, using any kind of registered NFA type item for self/home defense is very, very stupid. The Sub2k kind of reminds me of the old Armalite AR7. I bought one of those Henry copies about 25 years ago. For a backpack and canoe gun against snakes (a real problem here around water), it was pretty great. Plus if you did loose it in the river, you weren't crying over the coin.
File the Mag release button flat with a file.
It's Free and it works 😊
looks alot longer in both halves that i had in my head
Awh the number of times I've heard that over the years....
I'm just apprehensive about something being a cheap-out, passed off as an "upgrade." Here's hoping that's not entirely the case.
😮😮😮😎
Shall we talk about Uranus instead? 😎
Sure, it too folds down the center.
@@misha5670 haha true!
Professor Farnsworth: "I'm sorry, Fry, but astronomers renamed Uranus in 2620 to end that stupid joke once and for all."
Fry: "Oh. What's it called now?"
Professor Farnsworth: "Urectum."
The sub2000 would be the perfect shtf gun but the quality of the materials is not there. I would gladly pay more for one with more metal and better internals.
Not far off from what I said during my conclusion in this video. KT has a pretty great R&D/idea department. They really can think outside of the box, that's for sure. I jsut wish their manufacturing and materials were on the same lever.
@@misha5670
I agree
@@texaspatriot9159r&d....take note glock. 😉

yup !!
kel tech ? Hey whatever grows your channel.
I know its weird but if you look back, we've always had KT guns on this channel from time to time *shrug* My first CCW was a P32 believe it or not, but then again in 2003, not like we had a ton of options.
Maybe he should do a drop test comparison between this and a sig 320?
This thing sux. Big pass 😂
But it is unique. I enjoyed trying it out; wouldn't much have a need for it in my personal collection though.
@@misha5670 oh, thought it was in your collection. NM
