AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage - only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on RUclips are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!
I ran into them in the campground as they were leaving for the horseback ride in this video. Meeting them in person helps to understand why their channel is so successful. They are very personable, clever and friendly. Exactly like in the videos. It was weird after watching so many videos talking to them in person. Same voices I am very familiar with. Same personalities. And the gave me a LoLo sticker! It was very cool to meet them in person.
I love their videos ❤❤. Always helpful tips, truthful, beautiful people out living the dream, letting us go along! They don’t slam other channels, no DRAMA!! We don’t need to hear about their personal problems. It’s just them doing what we love best living their life to the fullest! Thank you
It's refreshing to see a woman, who's secure in her inner and outer beauty, who's not constantly primping or adjusting so as to look absolutely perfect on camera. Yes, refreshing. You go girl!
Aw, thank you! I love to get dressed up, but I'm okay being bare faced and relaxed too!
We all need a Kristy in our lives!
She does look perfect on camera! No need for primping
She doesn't use Instagram.
@@davek6854, I do actually! :)
Airstream Nuts, Bolts, and Water Pumps!!! Now that is one sweet, kind man to not only offer his waterpump, but install it for y'all too!! Gorgeous scenery!
Just further proof of the fact the RV’ers are amazing people who, if at all possible, will help another RV’er. I just got home from a weekend camping trip (I’m a solo camper) and I was able to give one couple, who were new to RVing, an additional length of sewer hose and lent another camper my impact wrench. It made me feel so good to be able to pay forward what has been done for me many times!!
Your a very kind person Lori💕 thanks for your support!!
If you still have the old pump, you should try repairing it to keep as a spare. They can often be brought back to life by removing the 6 screws from the pump assembly and cleaning out the valves inside or by replacing a $5 switch. Use RUclips to find lots of DIY videos on the subject.
That's what I did after my original pump quit. Turns out it was one of the rubber valves gone bad. So got a valve replacement kit, changed out the head and now have a spare pump.
@@edhickl205 That's my style. I wouldn't spend $90.00 on a spare I may never need, but I'd totally rework a used one and throw it in my RV toolbox. Fortunately, they don't usually fail all at once. You'll probably notice them getting weak or sounding different before you completely lose your water.
We carry a spare water pump, refrig motherboard & refrig fan, gas bottle pigtail, toilet gasket seal, no-blow fuses for the Barker jack, 20a fuses for the breaker panel. What can't you do without? If it breaks can you get by? Some parts are harder to find, our CCC2 furnace/air thermostat failed and even the Airstream factory didn't have one. Love your sence of humor. See you down the road.
Repairing the pump can lead to a forensic investigation into its failure. Possibly a real reason it failed or an indication of just poor quality
Great video with beautiful views. We have a remote cabin with an RV water pump and I have a spare because it’s a day round trip to get another.
Our water pump crapped out in 2018 at Grant Village in Yellowstone. I was happy to learn that there's an RV repair shop at Fishing Bridge, where I was able to buy a new pump.
My dad taught me a long time ago that the water pump Will go out when you don’t want it to….so…I have kept an extra brand new water pump in storage. So far I have not needed it, but it will happen and I will be ready!! (They are not that expensive so it only makes sense).
One thing I figured out just lately is whoever named those mountains the Grand Tetons was mighty, mighty homesick!
Lol!
After having a water pump go out on us while camping two years ago, I carry a spare now. Your video speaks the truth about carrying a spare for some items. I told my wife that we need to visit the grand teton area next year in the fall after seeing your video. Thanks!
RV water pump spares are a vital accessory. In our 2015 Lazy Daze Class C, I have carried a backup water pump since 2016.
Like Ronny, I offered my extra pump to my good friend, Ron, while our LD gang had our annual get together in Morro Bay, Ca. His pump was leaking constantly and was able to tighten a couple of fittings to stop the leak. Thank goodness. I still have my spare H2O pump.
By the way, water can be retrieved from your fresh water tank by placing a bucket below the fresh water tank drain valve. Hope I never have to do this, but it is a simple, practical way to get water when your RV water pump fails or your RV electrical system fails.
Love your videos. Love the Tetons. 2022 will see my daughter and myself in Yellowstone at the West Thumb. Probably hang out at a few other areas as well. Thanks for the great tips.
We carry a spare water pump but it serves a purpose beyond "just a spare". We use it when boondocking to pump water from portable jugs (similar to those shown in a previous video) into the fresh water tank (it beats holding 40 pounds up to the filler port).
With the pump we have input and output hoses (with appropriate fittings) and 15 feet of wire with a fuse and switch. We power it from a 12v outlet (Anderson powerpole) we added to the outside of our battery box (we have internal lithium batteries so "jumper cable clips" on the batteries in the box doesn't work for us).
I do the exact same thing ... and suggested it to them in an earlier video ... after watching him heft up that 5 gallon jug, to pour it into his rig . 👍
Damn that dart didn't think of that that shit. 😕 I'll be doing it that way
Doh I just repeated your comment guess I shoulda read before I wrote☺️
Shawn, you can see the love she has for you when she sees you and smiles that smile you are both the luckiest couple out there. Keep on keeping on and never let the honeymoon end
”The view just keeps getting better”… and Kristy comes walking up. 🥰 Sweet!

Oh how that PT chant was one of my favorite while in ARMY 74/77......
Can't beat the good ol' Army marching songs to distract the troops when "taking the hill."
And yes, now that you brought up the song, I *DO* remember to original lyrics LOL.
So do you remember the cute one that starts out,
"The prettiest girl, I ever saw, was sipping bourbon, through a straw..."
You two incredible people are so blessed as are we for being able to follow you. Thank you.
I love the sound of the wind in the aspens
The Dead parrot 🦜 sketch ✍️😃😄😁☺️👍🏼
A spare water pump is a good idea. We carry an extra 75 gal of water in an after market water tank that fits in our F150 tow vehicle bed. We purchased a small portable water pump to pump from the truck to the trailer, in an emergency such as shown here we could use the portable water pump to supply the trailer until we can get to town. In an emergency we could hook the portable pump to the city water input on the trailer using a pressure regulator. Keeps from having to break camp just to get a new pump. The tank in the truck is permanently mounted and plumbing to the tailgate, out truck has a 120 Vac outlet in the bed and we use a small 300 watt inverter to power the pump. So far this has worked for us as we boondock 99% of the time.
Really enjoy the LoLoHo video's, Keep up the great information.
_LMAO on the horses' ass joke! Watch out for those bears, they might be looking for your berries!_
Could be worse, the squirrels could be after his nuts!
@@seannewton8386 right lol
Listening to the leaves rustling in the wind. Even heard it over the gurgling and gasping of tortured lungs! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 If your unused to horse back riding then a jar of Vaseline is a life saver. Liberally applied up the inside of the legs and around the nether regions. Trust me it saves a heap of painful chafing. 👍👍👍👍😳
Best shot Sean was of my Baby Girl Kristy on the bridge over the water!❤️
Thank you, Daddy-O! ❤ Love & miss you!
After Labor Day when the crush of Summer visitors heads home, a peaceful solitude once again returns to higher elevation National Parks and campgrounds. You perfectly captured that returned serenity and how I feel when Winter says it’s time to leave.
John Denver wrote songs about winds thru the tree's. I think the song is Song of Wyoming, maybe it's wind in the sage... but you get the idea.
Love the channel!
So glad you could get that pump fixed.
We drove down to Port Aransas TX and stopped in San Antonio on way picked up sewer flies in Black tank but did the bleach and flush and they are gone thank God.
Last trip the window in bedroom exploded out still love our FC 25FB!
We haven't bought a travel trailer YET. I would have never thought about a spare water pump ... "ADD TO CHECKLIST!" Thanks Y'all!
That rustling sound in the trees from the wind is why those trees are called Quaking Aspens.
As a very very long subscriber I gotta say one of your best videos just because you took us along on the hike. This is not to take away from all of your great videos but this one is a piece of art. Thanks 😊
Oh and btw I am one that carries a spare pump btw I am a master plumber so there’s that 😂😂
Who could possibly dislike this? Sadly a sign of the times.
Its usually NOT the motor that goes out in thd pumps.... but the impeller. And it can be replaced in your old pump.... and you instantly have a working and reliable spare.
We do and a lot of other things for our Airstream. We’ve learned in the past as boaters the spare parts you carry are the ones you’ll never need. If don’t want something to break carry a spare!
I've always carried a spare water pump. In just under 5 years, its come in handy twice. I used it once to help a friend out of a jam (like yours) and one to get myself out of a jam (both were shurflos but that is still the brand I use). After mine failed, I installed a large accumulator tank, one to reduce the cycling on the pump and two to get steady water. Time will tell if it improves the longevity of pump. Other spares I carry: FUSES (obviously) but not just the blade type, I also carry the glass tube type (go ahead ask me why :-)) Here is a hint, in my case, they're located behind my fridge. Replacement breakaway switch (yup kids accidently activated it and it wasn't resettable) . Two 5ft foot lengths of 1/2 PEX along with assortment of sharkbites. The list goes on and on but those are a few things folks might not think about and they're pretty light to carry. Cheers!
man I want to hike that trail. I hope guys know how lucky you are to be able to do what you do. Thank Jesus everyday.
We certainly do!
The more spare parts you bring the less likely you are to need them. I learned this from my sportscar racing days.
I see I am NOT the only Rver that hides Irish Spring bars of soap.LOL
your wife, is for sure; keeping you young. great couple. have fun and stay young.
It was so great meeting you at Gros Ventre a couple of weeks ago (I’m the lady from Puerto Rico). Glad you had a great time. Thanking the campground hosts was a nice touch. They deserve it.
If you don't have access to a spare, you can always use a bucket to capture water from your low-point drain, heat it in a pan on the stove for bathing (sink bath) and keep a bucket full for flushing until you can get a pump.
I never leave home without a spare (working) water pump. Hard lesson learned, in about 2007 when I spent a 3 day weekend bringing pans of water up from our low point drain. Our first rig in the modern era. I'm glad I knew enough to know where the LPD was and what it was.
Me too. Always have a spare :)
It’s a great thing that you of an airstream guy near by that had an extra water pump. Glad you got it fixed and we’re able to hike and horse back ride. Looking forward to next video. Have a greasy night. And week.
Thank you for a beautiful video. I started carrying a spare water pump 3 years back when our sons water pump went on him while on a week long trip. He had to drive over 200 miles round trip to find one. It's a small piece of mind that goes a long way.
I do like your style, your patience, and how you and Kristy take things in stride. A dead water pump doesn’t appear to dampen your spirits at all. The joy and humor you both share should be contagious. Thanks your example keeps us inspired for our next trip.
The independent minded horse is adorable!
have had an extra water pump right after we bought our travel trailer , and I also use to it to transfer water from out 6 gallon water jugs we carry while boon docking works great and saves my back from those heavy jugs lol. Thank you for your inspirations. Watched your videos for several years ,before we bought our travel trailer. Their is so much of our wonderful county we are goinf to be visiting in the near future, once we retired. And I would just like to say a big thank you.
Ronnie to the rescue 🙌
Love your sense of humor.
2-4-6-8! Who do we appreciate!?? RONNIE! RONNIE! Yay! RONNIE! 🎉🛻🚌
Thanks once again Sean and kristy for bringing us along to see such beautiful scenery. Nothing like fall in the Rockies. Yes it is like a dream for me being here at my home in Louisiana and be able to experience such a beautiful place. See y’all down the road on your next one.
Those waterfalls are gorgeous
Thank you both very much for taking me along. God bless both of you.
We were in the area while you were there. We want to thank you for the Bozman tip. Got there after a week in Glacier. Hot springs & the camp grounds were the best. Note, we took hwy 2 across from Wisconsin. Locals call it "the high line". If you want rural America this is the place.
Absolutely beautiful landscape. I could feel the peace....beautiful.
Loved the peaceful sound of the trembling aspen footage. Thanks for sharing!
I’m always amazed at the beauty of our country. Also amazing at how few people hike the trails.
You guys are awesome don’t ever stop. Thomyt
Nothing sloppy at all about this video. So glad I saw your channel and got into RV'ing!
Having spares of thing like that is a great idea. I would also go as far as to have it installed next to the main water pump and plumbed in with valves so it can be isolated. That way, if the main pump goes out (usually when it is dark and far more difficult to replace), all you have to do is close the valves on the main pump and open the valves on the spare and move the electrical plug from the main to the spare. 60 seconds and you are back in business no matter how dark it is or how bad the weather.
Your videos this year have been absolutely great Thank you for sharing your adventures with us
Thank you! Grand Tetons is one of my favorite NPs... I loved hearing the water sounds in your video and listening to the wind... I can tell it's time for me to go back... With a spare water pump. :)
After being' on city water for about 5 days we planned on boondocking at another campground. To our surprise, our water pump would turn on but would not pump. We couldn't find a new one being it was a Sunday in Steamboat Springs, Co. So...... we took it out and started taking it apart. It has a rubber/silicon diaphram that appears to be stuck in one position. We took it out and cleaned it and spring and it worked! Now when we are on city water for awhile, we turn it off and use the water pump for a few minutes so it doesn't get stuck in one position. It was really a simple repair. The hardest part was crawling under kitchen sink and removing the water pump. We now carry a spare but at least we know how to repair.
Ive had to do a few road and campsite repairs on my 01 f350 7.3 over the years. One time I had to replace a hose on the brake booster and they had to ship the parts by boat to the campsite. Thank god I always carry tools.
Wow! Beautiful autumn colors.
You might think Ronny was a bit over the top for carrying a spare water pump, I also do and you can buy kits to rebuild those shurflo pumps if the electric part of the pump is still working, but won't pump water. The kits aren't expensive and don't take up much room. One discovers quickly how much of a key element water is, when you have NONE! All the generators in the world won't replace that simple water pump😄
You guys do ALL the fun things. Her electric smile lights up every episode. I’ll order a water pump today.
Been there, done that! I use my spare pump for water transfer into my fresh water tank. Stay safe.
Great advice in carrying a spare water pump. Glad you had a friend nearby that carried a spare! Enjoy the journey.
Hey Sean, we always carry a spare water pump. Learned our lesson so many years ago. It’s the one item you can’t do without. Gotta have water. Thanks for pointing that out to other RV’s. Alan
Really nice video. Beautiful destination. In addition to a spare water pump, they make pressure tanks that help with steady water pressure. And always carry a spare generator fuel pump and filter. Found out the hard way too. Y'all are awesome. God Bless and safe travels.
Had not thought of a pump as a carry on. Sounds like a good segment for you. Kristy you keep that old man on his toes.
Ha, the first time I heard mine not prime, I said I better buy a spare. 1 year later in the middle of nowhere it failed. Now the only problem is where in the under bay did I put it......there it is......5 min fix. My wife thinks I'm the smartest guy around. 😎
Nice Work Ronnie, good to have friends that repair Airstreams. Ronnie did work my this past April, and did great job.
Just love tuning in to your programs. Thank you.
Put that one in your Hall of Fame a very beautiful and amazing video thanks for sharing. Always appreciate the advice and the lessons you’ve learned.
Sean,
The timing of this video was perfect for us. We are heading out again next week, and you are the 2nd person to recommend that I buy a spare RV Water Pump Revolution ... so I did! THX!!!
Also ... I'm the guy from Oregon (in the Allegro Red coach) that was right across from you guys a couple of years ago in Gros Ventre, with the extra water jugs. If I could recommend in addition to that video, getting yourself a Harbor Freight "Battery Operated Liquid Transfer Pump" ($9.99) to pump water fro your water container into your fresh water tank. As you point out, the jugs get heavy, and these little "D cell" pumps make the job so much easier. I also have a 2nd transfer pump that I use for my DEF.
Like you two, Gros Ventre is one of our favorite campgrounds ... not for everyone ... but great for seeing moose in camp!
Excellent! You guys make such good videos, and are so down to earth. Thanks for what you do!
Great vicarious visit to the Grand Tetons. Thanks
I live in SE Idaho and took a drive over to the Tetons and Jackson a week ago, it was stunningly beautiful!!! I went over via Victor and the Teton Pass, came back through Palisades area. What a great day it was!! I spent a lot of time camping in the Island Park, ID area this year. It is really nice to. Also the Stanley area in ID is great, well I could go on. I enjoyed the video!!
Really enjoyed this video. Showed that there are lots of wonderful places to enjoy with no crowds.
Wonderful video! I love this time of year "out West", and hope to get back on the road sometime next year after being grounded by my own health crisis and then the world's health crisis. But, in the immortal words of Arnold, "I'll be back." Until then, you two keep me dreaming - thanks!
We actually helped our friends one year with an extra water pump we had. Always feels good to help someone in need! Love the way you Love my favorite things! Aka…. Tetons, fall and lower crowds
Great idea to carry a spare water pump, especially if one does a lot of boondocking far from possible parts store. Beautiful video and thanks for showing this area of American.
A Wookilar, haha! That brought back some great movie memories
Thanks, I’m glad someone finally acknowledged the genius in me . Also carry slide motor & gearbox, window regulators , blind repair, spare awning , battery charger & pretty sure I’m forgetting some thing
Well, I upgraded my original pump for a better one and kept the old one as a sore and have used it as. Transfer pump to refill my freshwater tank when boon-docking. However, it has saved the day for two other campers until they could get a new one for themselves. Keep up the fantastic videos, especially those of and around my most favorite place on the planet.
The good news was you got blue sky's. That's a plus before more smoke come that way. The autumn colors is so beautiful. I need to visit the area around that time. Hopefully, 2024. I still want to visit Yellowstone or Teton in the winter time. That would be a treat. But it cost more money to do that.
10:41 that random bar of soap though? 😂
Thanks for all the great Videos over the years!!! You Guys Rock!! Safe Travels!!
Very beautiful! I am camping vicariously through you. Thank you!
My neighbor replaced two water pumps in a short time and also says his underside freshwater drain out tube is very slow to drain. Perhaps debris in the tank. Rinse the tank by removing the drain hose allowing a larger diameter opening and maybe using a wet vac to assist in opening the path of draining water until you are reasonably sure you are able to rinse the tank. An oversize filter before the pump should protect it from debris especially the debris left in the tank while the installer drilled through for fittings leaving a hand full of hard plastic bits from the drilling process in the tank.
Another inspiring video.... Just got back from a 3 month 8300 mile 19 state trip !....met a lot of great people from all walks of life and saw a lot of beautiful scenery !!!!...A little harder finding camp sites but they are out there...thanks again for in inspiration✌
What a wonderful area. You inspire me to keep exploring our beautiful country. Thank You for sharing
I’ve been there in July 2021 and I always want to comeback. Those 4 days of my life were the time, I felt life is not s**** all the time. Thanks to you guys I am experiencing it again by watching your videos.
Thanks for taking me along on your beautiful trips, I enjoy so much. The wife and I are slowly Thinking about getting into camping.
Thank you for sharing what a wonderful video and a reminder of the vacations we need to take
Beautiful footage on your hike. You are very lucky you had a friend close by that had a spare pump. Glad everything worked out for you. Until next blog
Another great episode. Made my first visit to the Grand Tetons in June. Fell in love with this park.
By the way, you are now the sixth RUclips channel to have replaced a water pump of the channels I watch. So a spare is good advice
Wow! Someone suggested using the spare pump to deliver water into the fresh tank when boondocking. It will take a little setup, but I think it's a great idea. Not only will the spare make boondocking easier, it will be there in case the main pump fails.
It is nice to see your Pretty Mrs not feeling the need for all the War Paint, BTY love the video
So lucky. I also carry an extra water pump, and fittings for water leaks. Need it if you do a lot of boondocking. Great video
Thanks Don
Sorry to hear about your loss I know how that feels lost my dad in 14 so I no how it feels just remember them doing the one thing that they absolutely loved doing and burn them into your mind that way so whenever you think of them that's how you remember them so sorry to hear about your loss 😎🤠
Grizzly?! Ahhhh...no. Anything but that one thing. Are those horses grizzly proof?! Rode horses growing up. My dad rode the brat out to the far meadow. She turned on a dime. Ran for the salt lick. Threw my dad, 240 lbs right over her head. Cannot get that out of my head. He was fine. Funny as heck, but fear sets in since then! Thanks for the gorgeous views.
