Officer Ellis is my family! Its hard to believe I watched him grow up. I’m absolutely overjoyed and proud of the man he’s become! Hooah Officer Ellis!!!!!💜💜💜
Great to get insight into how busy the police can be. From small traffic issues to assisting a person with mental health issues. Thank you for the ride along🙏🏿
I used to work at that gas station when it was express mart. Im glad they check on that place. Another spot to check is the old folks over at opportunity pavilion around the corner from there. Not much security there and not many visitors for the people there either.
I appreciate the effort y’all are putting into these videos. Your efforts aren’t unnoticed. I like how you guys introduce your officers. I’m doing research on different vlogs to see what might work for our department and there’s plenty of good here
Thanks for the video! I always look forward to these during the week. Stay safe and thank you and the fellow officers for what you do and service in the communities.
Hey KCPD! It is amazing you guys are doing these videos! Keep it up! It is very important to make these videos in a time like this and I am glad you guys are doing this.
Great video Officer Whitelaw, keep it coming. Thoughts from this desk chair - more pre-shift briefing (normal routine stuff), way more about personal gear and vehicle outfit (everybody loves flashing lights and cop gear - unless you're running from it). Was also great to see the interaction with local merchants, much like the last bodybuilder guy heating his chow at the QT. Way to go KCPD - from St. Louis.
Always appreciated KCPD. Hoping we get them staffed, so we can bring back the enhanced security screening at westport. They should include Throwback in there too, thats where must of the gunfire originates from. Last weekend they had people drifting donuts on Westport rd. and Mill St. It's lawless down there after 11 PM.
Thank for these VLOGs. Appreciated all these videos especially the ride-alongs. Used to live in Northland (North Patrol Division), NW 68th & 169 area. When I lived in KCMO spent many a ride-along primarily NPD and CPD. Have done ride-alongside too once with EPD and Traffic Units. Miss the KCMO area. Have good friend that works there and one that “retired” from there. I know many thing have changed: there didn’t used to be Shoal Creek Division, used to be NPD 20 sector. The detention center was as main headquarters which a lot of officers I believe had a little rhyme when an arrested was made and asked where they were being transported, saying was “Hocus Pokus 11th & Locust”.
Great blog, really needed at this time, there are so many good officers who put their lives on the line everyday and it seems that these days the police are being vilified and dishonored and these ride alongs show that our police are men and women who are genuinely helping people and keep our community safe by keeping an eye out. I really liked the intro. I'm from Philadelphia, PA and I've been out here in Lawson, MO for about 2 years now and I absolutely love it out here!! Thank you guys for all you do...God bless and keep you.
I'm a retired LA county sheriff deputy 30 years I put in I now enjoy my grandkids and my beautiful granddaughter that was just born recently I tell a lot of new officers and you guys look fairly new I've got with you every time that you step in and out of that uniform don't let anything get to you ignore the stupidity that people do and always find something else to do when you take that uniform off and buy yourself a good punching bag put it up in your backyard anytime you feel stressed out give that bag of good workout you don't want to keep any of that tension in your body other than that be careful God bless love you guys Brothers in blue always
Stay safe gentlemen. I am retired law enforcement, forced on disability. I loved every minute of it. Helping people is what we all do. Its not what people say...."sending people to jail"...yes that is part of the job. But we help people more than we take them to jail. We meet some really nice people along the way, along with some very unique, interesting individuals. We see the hope and sadness every day. But we go ahead, because what are we about? We are about helping people. Not just making the streets safer, but better, cleaner and healthier. We are role models, brothers, fathers, sisters, mothers, husbands, wives, we are everybody and all we want is a happy life for everybody. Everybody has a story, some sad, some tragic. Well, taking enough of your time. Stay safe, retire when its time and be proud you helped the people.
Everyday I am grateful our police officers. I do not know how you stay sane in this environment. You are the arm of God. I know people don't like it, but that is Scriptural. May you remember that God is working through you even as society bucks authority. If you remember that God is your boss and ask Him to be in every situation you meet each day, then He will be there and you will know His support and if the criminals do not support you, then so what else is new?♥️♥️♥️♥️Jesus and I send hugs ♥️♥️
The gentleman making the commentaries looks like a gentleman that I knew when I was in the Marine corps he was a chief petty officer and we used to always make fun of him because his name was Wendell Brown and everybody you say go ahead Mr window you might have a twin out there but I believe this gentleman's probably up in the sixties or seventies you look too young for that age also as like I'm saying just be safe when you're out there through the grace of God I did 30 years with LA county sheriff's department did every job then you can think of my last one was crime suppression a lot of times were assigned to different departments the last one was TSB transit services bureau and all the trains they usually pass through the poor areas especially the Blue line we used to call the crazy train or nicknamed it the RC train be safe God bless keep your heads up
How's everyone doing out there? We are so grateful to every last one of you that continue to watch our Vlogs. Thank You
Good, stay safe out there
Thank you for your service 💙

You think you can do a vlog on what detectives do through the day?

I was like “i hope they pull that green car over” with how he was driving and as soon as a said that y’all did!!😂😂
Do the partners get to take turns who drives and who doesn’t???
Partners decide on who will drive and can change everyday if they want.
Does a person have to be a citizen of Kansas City or are suburbs allowed to do ride-alongs too?
You can find more information in the link in the description.
I love this guys great work keep it up

A question for PO Ellis: How come the KCPD? Why not the SLPD? And who is your favorite baseball team?
Thank you KCPD! Praying you get the needed support! The current city and Jackson county prosecutor need to go!
Thank you for watching.
